Yes, of course. Authorities the world over have decided that it’s far easier to pretend that jihadis and their supporters are mentally ill than to confront the reality of jihad.
“Former University of Alabama student sentenced for hiding funding to al Qaeda,” by Kenneth Garger, New York Post, April 28, 2022:
A former University of Alabama student was sentenced to more than seven years behind bars Wednesday for hiding financing to al Qaeda.
Alaa Mohd Abusaad, 26, had pleaded guilty in 2019 to a charge of concealing terrorism financing after telling an undercover FBI employee how to send money to terrorist fighters.
Abusaad also told the undercover fed that “money” for the terrorists “is always needed.”…
The woman’s lawyers argued she was left vulnerable to the dangers of the interest due to her mental health issues, WBMA-TV reported.
Wellington says
The irony here is that adhering to Islam in “its full mode” arguably is a form of mental illness.
Now, I know that many dhimmis in the West, including many law enforcement officials, never mind that bottom-feeding class of humans known as politicians, want to exculpate Islamic terrorism (and which terrorism is virtually a daily event throughout the world) by way of the mental illness excuse. But following Islamic dictates in full measure is, I submit (not meant in an Islamic understanding of this word), actually and truly a form of mental illness. For example, all Hamas, Hezbollah and ISIS adherents are more or less mentally ill—there are gradations after all.
So, ignorant dhimmis excusing your standard bad behavior by Muslims so often characterize such behavior as evidence of mental illness but not evidence of any adherence to the pure, wonderful and tolerant religion which is manifested by Islamic belief.
Message to all such dhimmis: The two are tied at the hip. To be even more blunt: The more one adheres to Islamic doctrine the more mentally they are. It’s a direct correlation.
Wish many Western dhimmis would make this connection, this correlation. But they won’t. And so evil continues to get a pass. Yes indeed, the Islamic veil has still not been lifted.
Time for a beer and a BLT. Screw Allah, Mo and the Koran.
James Lincoln says
Wellington,
Yes.
For a muslim:
The degree of mental illness is in direct proportion to the degree of devoutness.
Western leaders will not publicly make that connection because if they did, they would have to do something about it.
And they don’t know what to do about it.

I am sick of hearing this lie so often. That’s why I hate the DEMS . AS much as the followers of Allah -Both are phony and mega liars. Anyone can see through the lies that they tell all the time but I guess ANYONE is willing to just keep their mouths shut and think that they are fooling the rest of the the USA!
I want to see them either killed in one of their jihad plots or made to leave the USA permanently!
tim gallagher says
Yeah, they’re always mentally ill. I suppose that, by the standards of any civilised society, almost all Muslims are mentally ill with the crap (the pedophilia with child brides, the rape gangs, the murderous hatred of all non-Muslims, the honour killings over trivialities etc) they believe is all quite OK. I would say it is more about an evil mentality rather than a mental illness in most cases.
bill says
I have maintained for a long time that all religion is a form of mental illness. ranging from the mildly delusional, believing in things that do not exist and can never have happened, through the full spectrum to the full on psychopathology of cult membership, When one reads the history of the Christian church and its appalling treatment of so called heretics, one can only conclude that Christians were as bad in that time as Muslims are today. Protestants slaughtering Catholics and vice versa. Believers having to go into exile for fear of their lives, because their beliefs did not conform to the current prevailing views.
Even in these pages I regularly see the hatred uttered against atheists, as though we are the very worst of people. (compare: Muslims to infidels) When in fact atheists rarely if at, all harm anyone..
William C. says
Bill says: “one can only conclude that Christians were as bad in that time as Muslims are today.” It needs to be said that Christians have moved on from medieval excesses . Islam has not moved on and is still the vicious killer of non-believers.
tim gallagher says
I disagree with that last point you make, bill. Atheists rarely harm people. Are you kidding? So do you think that Lenin and Stalin and Mao were believers in some kind of a god? They slaughtered millions and millions of people. I’ve heard that Mao slaughtered 40 million in China. Ditto for Hitler who was not a believer in any type of god. From my reading of history, atheists are no harmless mob. They have slaughtered endless people. islam believes in a vicious, murderous version of what god is. It’ll never be peaceful. I am a Christian and I know that it has very peaceful ideals. Christians, just like all human beings, including the atheists who you seem to think are always nice people, which staggers me, have behaved badly, but Christianity has pretty decent and peaceful ideals to aim for. I think Buddhism seems to have peaceful ideals also. To me, islam seems nothing at all like Christianity or Buddhism and it never will be.

An excellent reply Tim.

bill needs to read “Dark Agenda” wherein Mr. Horowitz tells it all with many sources cited that prove the numbers of the murders and other mass atrocities carried out by atheists.

Fine post, Tim.

Thanks for the comments, john, gravenimage and somehistory. I thought that it was so obviously wrong to say that atheists are largely harmless members of the human race. In my own life, I have several people that I wouldn’t mind taking revenge on. People who have treated me pretty badly. Most of us probably have the same sort of experience. I am certain that it is because I have Christian beliefs that I don’t go after them. I suspect that if I believed that there is nothing there when we die I probably would go after them in a violent way. Whether there is an afterlife or nothingness when we die, who knows until we die, it’s only faith that can give us a belief that there is something after death. I’ve got my doubt about it all at times. I’m sure that there are many extremely peaceful atheists and I know some of them among my own siblings and friends, but belief in a peaceful type of God definitely at least makes us try to behave well and behave in a peaceful manner.

Thank you, tim. I know the feeling. I have seen some really bad stuff in my life, and a little payback for some of the wrongs…like Clint Eastwood and his little talk with the “punk” but I know there is a High One to Whom I will answer, and Someone I very much don’t wish to disappoint; or to make Him “feel hurt,” as He said He did when the Israelites disobeyed in the desert. I want to be like Jesus, able to say, “I always do the things pleasing to my Father.”
Atheists obviously don’t have that motivation.
tim gallagher says
Yes, somehistory, as Christians we do have some high ideals to aim for. I am pretty slack and no doubt fall way short of the goal, but, as I mentioned, I’ve no doubt, if i were an atheist, I probably would have gone after a few of the scumbags that have wronged me and settled accounts with them. I probably wouldn’t have been a dirty Harry type. I couldn’t imagine being like that though I did enjoy that movie. Then again, my atheist sisters are better people than I will ever be, particularly one of them, so life is complex. Maybe it’s just that I am quite a bit crazier than they are. But we do have some high standards of behaviour to aim for.
somehistory says
Tim,
I don’t own a 44 magnum, and I’ve never engaged in violence, but I have witnessed things that made me wish that it would be okay to do something very much deserved to the perps who did the evil deed.
Your comment about your sisters, reminds me of what the Apostle Paul wrote about people “who don’t have Law, but do by nature, the things of the Law.”

Of course, Christianity never taught such things as bill pretends. Christians and Jews are not a threat.
Then, I have never seen calls for violence against Atheists here as bill claims. Citations, please. In fact, such calls for violence, were they to occur in the first place, would *not* be allowed here.
Then, of course Atheists have harmed people–is bill hoping that no one here has heard of the Soviet Union, Communist China, Vietnam, North Korea, and the horrors of the Killing Fields of Cambodia?
Of course, many Atheists are indeed decent people, and there are many staunch Anti-Jihadists here who are Atheists, including long-time contributor Hugh Fitzgerald.

The things done with the banner of Christianity, that included murder, burning people at the stake, etc. were not done by Christians, because Christ never said to do any such thing. He never killed anyone and never commanded His followers to force conversion nor kill anyone.
Whoever lives by what Jesus did teach and command…to the best of their ability…is a Christian. Whoever goes against what Jesus taught and commanded, but calls themselves Christian, is a liar.
john smith says
Exactly Somehistory,
It’s the same old story with muslims and muslim apologists. Oh, Christians are just as bad as muslim, Christians have done this, Christians have done that. When the truth is (as you say) they are not true Christians if they rape, pillage and murder people, as this flies in the face of everything Jesus taught his followers.
On the other hand if muslims rape, pillage and murder people, they are true muslims, because this is exactly what muhammad taught his followers.
somehistory says
thank you, John.
Yes, it reminds me of the couple arguing and one says the other drove the car without oil, left the tank empty, forgot the baby diapers and finished off the last of the groceries and that one says, well you left the cap off the toothpaste.
Christians are not perfect. But we have the Perfect Model to follow.
and as you point out, just what kind of “model” mozlums follow.

They don’t usually admit the criminally insane to state colleges, but I suppose with the equity agenda it’s at least possible.
Are we really gonna keep buying this tripe? Are we really supposed to believe that every jihadist, and every black supremacist is just mentally disturbed? Are we really supposed to ignore the “root causes” that the democrats love so much?
When lies about America, the West, the police and white people lead to violence they almost instinctively go to the mental health defense regardless of the facts. This case, where the lady went to college and also masterminded the financing of jihad terror, is a good one to focus on in that respect. She had the mental acuity to attend college and figure out how to get around anti-terrorism funding laws, even “coaching” an FBI informant on how to discreetly fund jihadis, but now she’s mentally unfit to pay for her crimes?
Equal justice is paramount in a free society. I know we have a lot of work to do when it comes to the wealthy and well connected, but if we start adding race and religion into the equation, we will be going backwards.

As already explained before in similar cases . those Muslim might be mentally ill, but the reason because their religion , Islam, had terribly damaged their cognition
In other words, Islam is able to harm and warp the reasoning skills of a person.
