And sometimes a slap *is* something more. Oh, not the motive, that was pretty clear–but if we as a society accept that any thug has the right to physically assault anyone who offends them–as Muslims regularly do–then we are in deep trouble. That there were those at the Academy and elsewhere *applauding* this thuggery is deeply troubling.
