Geico dropping Linda Sarsour was a good start, but why was she invited in the first place?
Meanwhile, events such as this one legitimize and mainstream White’s hateful views, while the fact that it would be inconceivable for Coke to partner with someone who spoke out for traditional values contributes to the marginalization of those values.

White’s fraught relationship with the Jewish community dates back to at least 2018, when he claimed that wealthy Jews used “climate manipulation” to cause bad weather in D.C. and donated $500 in community funds to sponsor a conference by infamous Jew-hater Louis Farrakhan….
White drew controversy in 2018 for his statements about the Rothschilds, a wealthy Jewish family that has been the subject of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories for more than 200 years.
“Man, it just started snowing out of nowhere this morning, man. Y’all better pay attention to this climate control, man, this climate manipulation,” White said in a video he posted on Facebook in 2018. “And D.C. keep talking about, ‘We a resilient city,’ and that’s a model based off the Rothschilds controlling the climate to create natural disasters they can pay for to own the cities, man. Be careful.”
While attending a city council breakfast, White also claimed that the Rothschilds “pretty much control the federal government” and “control the World Bank, as we all know.”
After public backlash, White apologized for the remarks and agreed to attend a tour of the Holocaust Museum. But many Jewish community leaders questioned his sincerity after he walked out of the tour halfway through….

If I believed that anyone…Jews, or another group,…controlled the weather, I would be trying to make friends with that group. Weather is something that can derail the best of plans, cause traffic havoc, and even death. Making people of that group my enemy would be stupider than believing that any group controls the weather.

Sure, if for “nefarious” reasons, but I believe it would still be a lot stupider to antagonize those capable of making and controlling weather than believing it in the first place. And if there was a way of controlling the weather, there would be another group who could figure it out and do things to counteract the “nefarious” deeds.

I agree, tim. We live in very dangerous times. I was watching Tucker Carlson and one of the things he was speaking about was crime and showed video from Atlanta, GA, where a security guy was attacked as he got out of his car. The attacker killed him and went through his belongings. A witness watched and later passed by. Two more guys came and went through the victims clothing, taking a wallet.
And from a different state, MA, a young woman was chased down by about 20 youth, who beat her and robbed her right on the street. In CA, as I wrote a day or two ago, gangs running down with their cars and robbing the victims in broad daylight.
And then, we have idiots like this, blaming bad weather on the Jews. As you say, this sounds like a mental illness with others in agreement with the mental patient.
And many want to blame those who chose, for whatever reason not to be jabbed with an unknown substance, the continual “virus variants” coming out of china.

I agree with what you say, somehistory. Te level of violence in the USA, from those incidents you mention, does sound pretty terrible. I would say that it hasn’t reached those sorts of level in Australia although there are gangs getting around doing drive by shootings and killing one another (often they are Muslim Arab gangs, I think it is over control of the drug trade) and also a 17 year old youth from a Pacific islander background was stabbed to death in a gang type fight at the Easter Show in Sydney (a big family type event) right in front of families and young children a week or so back.. Apparently gangs are getting stuck into one another and many are carrying knives all the time ready for action. There is definitely more violence. Something that strikes me are the videos which the teenage girls post on social media of girls beating one another up, and which i see on the TV news occasionally. Very alarming violence from young women

Just a little while ago, when looking at news reports, I saw where a teacher was assaulted when he tried to break up a fight between two girls…in middle school, which over here is not elementary, but not yet high school, so the kids are not all that old. when he tried to get the girls to stop fighting, their boyfriends attacked him for “touching” the girls. the police had to be called.
teens seem to be out of control…just as will smith’s kid…don’t know if this one is really a boy or really a girl…said, ‘that’s the way we do it,’ re smith’s violence.
I believe we may have entered what Jesus called the “great tribulation,” and about which he said would be worse than anything ever before; He also said it would have to be “cut short” or no one would be saved out if…to escape alive.

Ever since I gave up on Coca-Cola, my health has improved. I never believed it in the past when well-wishers used to urge me to give it up, just like people urge others to give up smoking. Actually, while I conceded the possibility, my excuse was that I was addicted to it, or didn’t care about my health
However, once the Georgia boycott was called, I boycotted Coke instead. I then switched to a homemade lemonade – adding sweet lime juice (the type one gets in liquor stores) to a can of club soda, and having that. It’s been great, and while I have once in a while had a coke while ordering restaurant meals if the alternatives weren’t as good, I rarely have it anymore

Although I do have to admit that I owe a debt of gratitude to Coke (and Pepsi, et al). Everyone in my family this side of the pond–no exaggeration–was an alcoholic, and everyone born after 1960 or so also became a drug addict.
I managed to dodge this. No one in my family at the time was drinking mineral water or juice–not even as a mixer. But most of the kids did drink sodas, at least part of the time.
Now, colas are *not* good for you, as noted–but compared to swilling large quantities of beer and cheap wine and hard liquor, it might as well have been a health tonic.
It was only much later that I found that Coca Cola had actually been touted as a teetotal drink at one time. Worked for me. It was only when I met my husband some thirty years ago that he suggested I drink less of this stuff, and switch to mineral water. I have soda rarely now, and don’t even like it all that much when I do have it.
Still, props to Coke at the time. But none of that excuses their harmful “wokeness” now.

back in the mid 70’s there was a virus going around and the doctors where we lived were telling all patients to get coke syrup and drink it, so we had to go to drive-in places and get it, but I had some coke on hand and didn’t go out for the syrup…it would have meant going out sick with sick kids. the coke worked well.
since that time, when i get a certain problem related to my autoimmune conditions, I can drink a little coke and it helps immensely. But as a general rule, we avoid drinking soda…except for the occasional club soda. too much leaches calcium from the bones and teeth.

When I was working for a MNC I used to drink the aerated drinks a lot for a few years. When working late a bottle was invariably on my table, chilled to the full. That made me drink it when out in the sun. But had to reduce it gradually for pockets sake and throat’s sake. Today I am almost free from it. Hope my health remains intact in the long run.
