“Hurting religious sentiments” means offending Islam. It’s not clear that anyone actually did this, however; the rumor was enough. Laws against “hurting religious sentiments” are the object of a years-long effort by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The OIC wants to force Western countries to adopt laws against “inciting religious hatred,” an extremely subjective category which would certainly encompass any discussion of how jihadis use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence and supremacism. The mobs will be along eventually as well.

On rumors of “hurting religious sentiments”, a Hindu house was vandalised, a haystack was set on fire, and a temple’s fence was destroyed last night in Bagerhat’s Morrelganj upazila.
The incident occurred around 9 pm yesterday at Romani Biswas’ house in Amarbunia village near Sundarbans, Bagerhat Superintendent of Police, KM Ariful Islam, told The Daily Star….
According to eyewitnesses and locals, Kaushik Biswas (20), son of Romani Biswas, was summoned to Amarbunia Jame Mosque around 5 pm yesterday on suspicion of “hurting religious sentiments” in a Facebook post.
When the incident came to light in the evening, hundreds of people from Mongla’s villages of Amarbunia, Jiudhara, Gulishakhali, and Kachubunia gathered and marched to Kaushik’s house. They set a haystack on fire and vandalised his house at the time. Later, the Sarbajanin Durga temple’s fence was also damaged. There was no idol in the temple, said locals and eyewitnesses….
The village is home to at least 52 Hindu families. Seeking anonymity, many of them said they are living in a state of uncertainty.

‘Hurting religious sentiments’ simply means believing in a religion other than islam. That’s all it takes to provoke these savages: one doesn’t even have to say anything about islam/Muhammad/allah

Muslims doing what Muslims always seem to be doing all over the world. They are kind of like an ants nest when it is disturbed (and it always is being disturbed as Muslims are constantly offended) with the ants racing about ferociously looking to attack. But, hey, we all are constantly told that islam is peaceful by academic and media and political type idiots. So there’s nothing to be concerned about when it comes to islam.

It would be good and appropriate if when a mosque is built in the USA another organization for free speech and Western values buys a property across the street from it, or better, our government provides one! where, over old fashioned loud speakers and bull horns, our bill of rights, under the Constitution, are read at the time of the mosques prayer time, in decibels that far exceed theirs.
