In Yemen, the Iran-backed Shi’ite Houthis are waging jihad against the Sunnis in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Biden’s handlers, anxious to replicate Obama’s disastrous Iran nuclear deal, are making concession after concession to the Iranian mullahs. The Saudis and the UAE have noticed, and want Biden to play ball with them before they will consider lowering oil prices. Biden, and the US, are in this bind all because Biden’s handlers wanted to vindicate Obama and discredit Trump.
“Crown princes of Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi ‘refuse to work to bring down oil prices unless Joe Biden backs them in Yemen’: Venezuela releases two US hostages in a sign of a thawing of relations amid rocketing gas prices,” by Harriet Alexander, DailyMail.com, March 8, 2022:
The crown princes of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates – the only two countries able immediately to turn on the tap and replace boycotted Russian oil – have both snubbed President Joe Biden in recent weeks, it has emerged, in response to the Biden administration’s failure to take their side in the war in Yemen.
Mohammed bin Salman, the 36-year-old crown prince of Saudi Arabia, and the U.A.E.’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan, 60, both turned down overtures from the White House.
As oil prices push over $130 a barrel for the first time in almost 14 years, the two Gulf countries are the only major oil producers that can pump millions more barrels of more oil to calm the crude market at a time when American gasoline prices are at high levels.
Renewable energy is not currently producing sufficient quantities of power to cover the loss, and cannot be rapidly ramped up.
Biden on Tuesday said he ‘can’t do much’ about record high gas prices and said it was Vladimir Putin’s fault.
The president even predicted it would get worse, with prices at the pump – which hit a record $4.17 on Tuesday – going higher.
‘They’re going to go up,’ Biden said, when asked about his message for Americans on gas prices….

He seemed to think it was funny when he said gas prices were going up. He knows it won’t make much difference to him how much things cost. He has more money than he will ever need. He’s Joe the Joker – a sad, pathetic, sick joke of a man.

Yes, to him and the others who worry never about available funds, it is all so funny.
Ann Coulter said that Marie Antoinette never said, “let them eat cake,” but that is basically what biden and his fake/phony administration are saying to citizens of this nation, while throwing money at everyone else.
Jesus warned about a “great tribulation.” If we are not in it now, just imagine how bad it is going to get.
Infidel says
The ‘let them eat cake’ was actually a Duchess of Tuscany quote: Marie Antoinette never said it. Not just different person, but different country as well
commonsense says
I was told by one of my high school teachers that this apocryphal remark, was made by the Queen of France because she was too sheltered and naïve to understand why many of her subjects were suffering from hunger. As the story goes, she was apprised of serious unrest among the people. When she asked the cause, her advisors replied, “Because they have no bread, Your Majesty.” The queen, sympathetic but genuinely puzzled, replied, “Well, why, then, can’t they eat cake (i.e. in lieu of bread)?” She simply did not understand that many of her subjects could not afford the price of wheat.

commonsense, there is no indication that Marie Antionette ever said this, and this quote has also been attributed to others.
somehistory says
Thanks for that. Coulter probably said that too, but I just recalled that she said it was not said by M.A
Westman says
It seems that reality has the Biden administration’s green ideology, literally, “over a barrel.”
More reality coming in November.

“More reality coming in November.”
Sure hope so, Westman, unless the Democrats manage to steal another election.

The only way that will happen would be Biden’s handlers or a rogue military getting us into a hot war. Americans have historically been afraid to change “leadership” during wartime.
Too many young people who voted for Biden will be feeling the effects of inflation and absurd energy policies. Colbert’s out-of-touch joke about gas at $15 a gallon because, “I drive a Tesla”, put young folks on notice that he is a wealthy performer, not one of them. It won’t take them long to figure they have elected an ideologue administration that doesn’t give a damn about their suffering.
Infidel says
Colbert’s ‘joke’ revealed that he doesn’t even know math. One wouldn’t be paying only $15 if one didn’t have a Tesla: one would be paying $15 times however many gallons one bought.
Not only is the car expensive: the cost of ownership is pretty expensive as well. For instance, the Subaru I have – once I paid it off, it’s no longer Subaru’s headache what happens to me once the warranty expired. If my car breaks down, I can call AAA or in my case Cross Country Motor Club to get it towed, and they’ll get a mom & pop towing service to take me to the nearest repair shop
For Tesla, there is only one company one can call: Tesla! If the battery dies, accessing it is a very proprietary deal that only Tesla can pull off, and so no towing company will touch them. Tesla would have to send one of their technicians to get the car up, and then deal w/ it accordingly. In other words, Tesla has to worry about a car throughout its lifetime, and that’s what makes it a much bigger headache than w/ cars that just have a moderate amount of technology in them
Westman says
Infidel,
Imagine the repair scams there will be for EVs. Some shops now scam women who know nothing about automobiles but fear men might know more. Now most drivers of EVs, male or female, won’t know enough to avoid being scammed or gouged.
I drive an old 30 mpg car for commuting and I can repair every part of it. Why would I want an EV that’s going to fleece me for more than the equivalence of $10 a gallon and then hit me again in 5 or 10 years for $20,000 – $30,000 for batteries? And like a computer it will be obsolete in 5 years.
In truth, I will be able to make most repairs on my own EV due to my skill set, however, the unknown battery pack life/cost is a non-starter.
I’d be making those power plants huff and puff to charge my car and then where do I dump the toxic expired battery pack? The EPA front lawn?
I could make so much money with an EV facility. It would be like servicing high-end foreign cars. Hmmm…
Infidel says
Maybe Biden can also recognize Gen Haftar, since the latter has spoken in the only language that Western leaders understand – shutting down an oilfield in Libya

Pious Muslims want Infidels to kill other-sect Muslims for them.
OLD GUY says
If you want to get Saudi Arabia’s attention don’t put sanctions on them, take their financial holdings in America and block all future financial transactions with them. Their oil is nice, but they can’t eat it or feed their people with out outside help. The people bushing the GREEN deal should jump all over that idea, because the only thing we get from Saudi Arabia is DIRTY OLD OIL.
JHL says
Re-open the pipeline. STOP dependence on foreign oil. Period.
