Any presentation of any kind that depicts any Muslim or any aspect of Islam in any kind of remotely negative light will be condemned as “Islamophobic,” even if, as in this case, it was made in order to combat “Islamophobia.” This is worlds away from the condemnation of honest analysis of the motivating ideology behind jihad terror as “Islamophobia”; even though this film was trying to present a positive image of Islam, it features a Muslim doing something some people will dislike, and so was condemned. Only unreserved and wholeheartedly hagiography regarding Islam and Muslims is permitted, not just in Pakistan, but also in the West, as the recent condemnation of the film Jihad Rehab shows.

Every adult human being is responsible for his or her beliefs, as once they reached the age when they could begin to apply reason it was their job to evaluate what they were being taught to the best of their ability.
i acknowledge those raised Muslim who have applied reason and decided to reject the ideology of intolerance and violence. But that will do little good until more of them realize that it is now their responsibility to speak out against it. Instead, most stay silent out of fear of retaliation for their “apostasy”.
I understand that they are afraid not only of ostracism but of violence, but it is their “culture” not ours, and we are not the ones who carry the responsibility for defanging that ideology and bringing and end to the carnage it inspires.
Whining about “Islamophobia” is wholesale evasion of that responsibility.

You are probably right, mortimer, and you certainly are very knowledgeable about islam. To me, islam needs to be constantly criticised because of its absolutely vile nature. I will keep hammering away, I used to write to our Australian politicians and try to wake the dopes (when it came to islam’s nature) up about what the content of Islam is. I do meet some Muslims who seem fairly pleasant, I suppose in spite of Islam and its teachings, but Islam is an evil ideology. I do hope that you are right about the Muslims who are at least somewhat disgusted with their religion. The more Islam gets hammered and critcised then hopefully the more Muslims who will decide to leave the barbaric crap behind.

I think it is more to prevent anyone from saying anything critical about Muslims and Islam–whether people believe this or not is of little importance, just that they are too terrorized to say *anything* condemning of any aspect of Islam.
But certainly, keeping Infidels in the dark about the threat of Islam is also a factor–few Infidels left in Pakistan, though–most have been driven out, forcibly converted, or murdered outright.
