New in PJ Media:
A new CNN poll conducted Friday and Saturday showed that Americans support Old Joe Biden’s sanctions against Russia, despite the fact that they haven’t made any significant dent in Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. But this hasn’t led Americans to warm up to Biden’s faux presidency at all: as in all polls, Joe’s approval numbers are abysmal.
CNN reported Monday that support for the sanctions was decisive: “Eighty-three percent of Americans said they favored increased economic sanctions against Russia in response to the invasion, with just 17% opposed.” It would have been refreshing if CNN had asked those whom it polled whether they were aware that the Biden administration repeatedly stated that the sanctions would be a deterrent to Putin, and then when Putin invaded Ukraine anyway, turned on a dime and began insisting that the sanctions were never meant to be a deterrent. But no such luck.
Support was also strong for the idea that the United States should take further action against Russia: “A smaller majority, 62%, also wanted to see the US do more to stop Russian military action in Ukraine, with 38% saying the country has already done enough.” This did not, however, include sending in troops: “[The] public is opposed to direct military action by the US: Only 42% were in favor of such a move should sanctions fail to work, with 58% opposed.” Strikingly, however, “Among those who said the US should do more to stop Russia’s military incursion, … 58% were in favor of the use of military action if sanctions failed.”
Here again, it would have been helpful if CNN had bothered to ask those who were in favor of U.S. military action in Ukraine what they thought of the anomaly of going to war — indeed, what could easily become World War III — in order to protect a foreign nation’s borders — those of a corrupt kleptocracy at that — while Biden’s handlers have rendered our own Southern border essentially a fiction. But again, no such luck.
Big surprise here: this support for Biden’s sanctions did not translate into support for Dementia Joe himself: “Just 42% said they trust Biden at least moderately to make the right decisions regarding the situation in Ukraine, about on par with his overall approval rating in recent polling.” Well, of course. For one thing, the man just lied to us about the purpose of the sanctions. For another, he has been lying to us more or less constantly since he became president, and before that as well.
There is more. Read the rest here.

Joe Biden can’t do anything right . Biden and his team can’t handle any serious problem without making it even worse.

I had commented that 25% of the people in Ukraine consider themselves to be Russians, their native language being Russian. And it was replied that many others in Ukraine speak Russian as a NATIVE language and don’t consider themselves to be Russian.
That is true, another 25% have Russian as their native language but identify as ethnic Ukrainians. The redpill view is this:
a. Ukrainian is the official language and also the ONLY language used in schools throughout Ukraine.
b. However, in East Ukraine, the kids change to Russian, their native language, as soon as they get out of class,in the playground. They NEVER speak to each other in Ukrainian, not then nor later,on the street,at home. They learn it but by force.
c. How to explain it,in CATALONIA,region of Spain , ALL are forced to have their education in CATALAN. Ukrainian and Russian are very similar, like Spanish and Catalan.
40% of the population in Catalonia speaks Spanish as their native language. But like in Ukraine, they are forced to receive their education in another language. But as soon as they are out of school they use Spanish all the time. And they do not identify as ethnic Catalans, why? Because they don’t care about the official language.
Redpill:”Observe what people DO,not what they SAY”.
If somebody says they identify as Ukrainian yet never cares about using the language nor teaching it to his children ( even though he can speak it) ,
it is evident it is a facade.
d. Regarding ZELENSKY,French political analyst Jacques Guillemain ( who is pro-Zemmour et quite reliable), is not impressed.
First he pointed out Zelensky has a video where he plays the Ukrainian NATIONAL ANTHEM on the piano using his PENIS.
That is not the action of somebody who loves Ukraine.
Zelensky WON a election despite such an insult to Ukrainians,or did he really win it? Was it not more probable there was FRAUD?
In another video Zelensky appears dancing wearing High-Heels,like a woman.
Second, Guillemain, who is a serious writer, says it is TRUE that there is a regiment called the AZOV regiment, and it is a real NEO-NAZI group, paramilitary. That has carried out kidnappings and torture.
Guillemain affirms it is part of the Ukrainian MINISTRY of the INTERIOR, a part of Zelensky’s government. Zelensky is Jewish but there many cases of people Jewish by birth who care nothing about Jewishness.
The best examples are today’s American progressives of Jewish descent: people like CHOMSKY who justify HAMAS and HIZBULLAH murders of Jews and want the destruction of Israel.
Guillemain says the Azov regiment has been trained by Americans for special operation actions.

I watched one of the Redpill videos. In it, the Russia based American – John Mark Dugan – was pretty much in love w/ his new home, and pretty much feeding the Russian line. Yeah, it’s true that Ukraine has had corrupt leaders, like the one who fired the judge looking into Burisma at the behest of VP Biden. But these talking heads then extrapolate it to imply that every Ukrainian leader is corrupt. But Zelenskyy came to power on an anti-corruption platform, accompanied by a promise to be a one term president, in May 2019. The corruption label is conveniently passed on to him using a theory that all Ukrainians are corrupt
Also, it’s well known that his previous job was a comedian, just like President Trump was a businessman or President Reagan was an actor. Yesterday, I posted a video of Zelenskyy playing the piano w/ his genitals. Disgusting maybe, but it doesn’t disqualify him from becoming the president of Ukraine, if that’s what his people voted for
Finally, this invasion has united all Ukrainians – including Russian speaking ones – behind Zelenskyy. Yeah, there are some reports of some Russkie Ukrainians being neutralized either for being or suspected of being saboteurs/traitors. Obviously, one doesn’t justify vigilante behavior, but during a time of war, these sort of things fall by the wayside
Finally, Zelenskyy has nothing in common w/ the likes of Chomsky, Soros, Jeffrey Epstein, Harvey Weinstein, Chuck Schumer, Alexander Vindman and so on. Unlike the Right Sektor or the Azov regiment, he’s reached out to Israel. Although Israel diplomatically condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine, they hesitated to go beyond that at first b’cos both Ukraine and Russia have a Jewish population, and also Russia controls the airspace over Syria and Israel is in constant contact w/ that air force whenever they conduct anti-Iran or anti-Hizbullah operations in Syria. So while Jerusalem and Moscow are by no means even friends, it doesn’t make sense for Israel to become even more of an enemy to Russia than it already is

Time will tell if Zelensky is sincere or just an opportunist. I incline to the latter. He should have and still can do the following:
Agree to a NEUTRALITY treaty with Russia, saying Ukraine will not become involved in a future European war,but remain neutral, ,including becoming a member of NATO,
for a period of 10 YEARS,to be renewed for another 5 years if necessary.
Otherwise Ukraine will become like the US,a PUPPET.Why?
1. The Chinese communists have bought tons of Democrat and Republican politicians and judges and journalists over the years. Including BIDEN, the US government in power has to do what China says.
2. The Chinese communist government is a MAFIA group.
3. If the US government does not do as China says, China will begin leaking documents and videos and photos and recordings showing how it bought A and B and C,etc. That is Classic Mafia Technique.
4. Putin saw all that and saw that for Russia’s interest, he had to come to an agreement with China, because the US has become a Chinese puppet.
5. IRAN and VENEZUELA and AFGHANISTAN are also allies of China. That is why Russia has had to come to terms with them.

When I wrote “,including becoming a member of NATO” I meant to say “,including NOT becoming a member of NATO”

At this point, w/ all the unprovoked attacks from Russia, there is no reason for Ukraine not to want to join NATO. It’s another thing whether NATO would be willing to risk a potential war w/ Russia by admitting Ukraine, At this point, by invading Ukraine and all the war crimes that they’ve done, Russia has lost the moral right to demand that Ukraine refrain from having NATO troops in deference to Moscow’s security
Yeah, 2 years ago, it might have been possible for the US and Russia to come to an understanding about mutual security, NATO and even splitting the Russo-Chinese alliance. That’s out of the question now given what Putin has done

“…by invading Ukraine and all the war crimes that they’ve done, Russia has lost the moral right to demand that Ukraine refrain from having NATO troops in deference to Moscow’s security”
Exactly!

Also, I pointed this out yesterday, and this is what Zelenskyy and a partner played w/ their penis. Listen to the Ukraine national anthem tune on Wiki, and let me know if those 2 are remotely alike

That was mildly humorous for about 30 seconds and then I gave up watching …. but it keeps going for 5 minutes? Yes, so Zelensky has endurance and now I also understand Putin’s determination to get rid of him a little better. But so far Zelensky has the most memorable quote – “I don’t need an exit; I need more ammo.” Maybe he’s learned something over time – and maybe Putin is about to learn something. Meanwhile the rest of us are in a state of confusion.

Doomer, the claim that the brave president of Ukraine actually hates Ukraine makes no sense. Were this true, he would have just welcomed the Russian invasion. Try again.
Then, the idea that if Ukraine doesn’t submit to Russia’s demands that they cut ties with the West that tney are a “puppet” is very strange. Surely supinely submitting to Russia’s demands is hardly independent.
Besides, Russia has now *invaded* Ukraine. The idea–which you have flogged here several times now–that Ukraine can just somehow turn back time if they agree to previous Russian demands is entirely unrealistic. And this kowtowing would not have necessarily protected her, in any case–craven appeasement rarely works.
Westman says
Ukraine’s Zelensky has addressed a 90% empty EU Parliament followed by speakers calling for EU aggressive defense, which means the US spearheading NATO. It’s an interesting back door approach to making demands on NATO, asking for immediate Ukraine EU membership thereby having claim to the “protection of Europe”.
If Biden’s handlers succumb to pressure, it won’t be the EU smoldering. It seems the US is the underpaid EU bodyguard. Now Germany wants to pay its full NATO tab – what a coincidence…..
Infidel says
I was intrigued by Zelenskyy wanting to join the EU, some years after Britain left. Once all these end, he’ll be in for a shock when the EU starts demanding that he take in muslim rapefugees, or do all sorts of things w/ his economy
Also, if it’s a backdoor way of joining NATO, it’s unneeded. Since Ukraine is already at a fight to the death war w/ Russia, they might as well formally apply to join: what worse could happen? The question is for NATO: do they risk a war w/ Russia by establishing a no-fly zone over Ukraine?

Also, yesterday in an interview, Andrei Illarionov, a former advisor to Putin, said that the only way that Vladimir Putin could be removed would be by the West being involved, and that there were no residual forces in Russia, including the military, strong enough to topple him

Putin is an ipso facto dictator. His seesawing between being president and prime minister–as Erdogan does–doesn’t change where the power lies.

My guess is the sanctions only cover certain things. We are still in space on the Russian/American space station. Russian citizens still own property and hold stock in America. Kick them out and take their property and cash if you really want to hurt them. And don’t fly plane loads of cash back to them later on. Oh wait I see the problem, that might effect the American wealthy and companies that have money invested in Russia. Oh well business is a risk, and we the American tax payer shouldn’t have to bail you out for your mistake.
