You have heard the Left’s talking points: despite the complete discrediting of their Russian collusion propaganda, they continue to insist, without a shred of supporting evidence, that Donald Trump was in Vladimir Putin’s hip pocket and that if Trump had still been president when Putin invaded Ukraine, Trump would have been applauding. Several polls, however, show that the majority of Americans aren’t buying this nonsense and are placing the blame for the invasion squarely on one man who is busy pointing fingers at Trump and a host of others to try to cover for his failures: Old Joe Biden.
Newsweek reported Monday that according to a new poll, “to the extent that American foreign policy encouraged Russian President Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine, more registered voters blame President Joe Biden than they do his predecessor, Donald Trump — and they’re ready to punish Democrats for it in November.”
Well, sure. We all learned in fifth grade that weakness invites aggression, but Old Joe and his feckless handlers seem determined to prove it again and again and again by being more weak and bumbling on the global stage than anyone ever thought possible. And so the HarrisX poll shows that 58% of Americans blame Biden for Putin’s invasion. While 42% of voters say that Trump’s policies are “more to blame about the Russian invasion of Ukraine,” 58% blame Biden. Even worse for Biden’s handlers, 66% of independent voters blame Biden.
According to Newsweek, this could have a big impact on the 2022 election: “When asked whether ‘Russia’s attack on Ukraine makes you more or less likely to vote for one party or another in the 2022 mid-term elections,’ 36 percent say they’re more likely to vote Republican and 24 percent say they’re more likely to vote Democrat, while 31 percent say it will not impact their vote. Among independents, 31 percent say they are more likely to vote Republican because of Biden’s handling of Ukraine while 13 percent say they’re now more likely to vote Democrat.”
There is abundant reason for all this. Dritan Nesho, the chief pollster and CEO of HarrisX, explained: “Voters believe that Biden has projected weakness to Putin with the slow rollout of economic sanctions. If the Ukraine crisis drags on and is top of mind leading to the midterms, it looks like voters — especially independents — will punish Democratic leaders for slow and tepid actions.”

Trump further threatened to bomb Moscow. ‘Do you see those golden Domes? You won’t see them anymore.’
Apparently, Putin was not ready to ‘test’ the resolve of Trump.
But the Beijing Bribed-man (who got money from the wife of the Moscow mayor) was on the Russian payroll.

Pelosi in on some planet that’s not Earth, did you see her at the State of the Union speech? She was completely off her face. The simple fact is Putin would not have dared to invade Ukraine with Trump as President, whereas Biden is weak & actually told him America would do nothing if Putin attacked Ukraine. Biden is weak & feeble, the other world leaders don’t even talk to him anymore.

If America had an MSM dedicated to truth rather than Democratic propaganda, those blaming Biden for his pathetic weakness, stupidity (Oh God, is he stupid—even pre-dementia) and fecklessness would be at least twice what it is.
If true polls existed as well as an impartial media, Biden wouldn’t even reach 20% approval, maybe not even 10% (OK, yes I know, the 10% figure is indeed too optimistic because at least 17.8% of adult Americans are complete idiots—I made the 17.8% up but I think as a rough gauge it is at least this but hopefully not more than this).

Why not back the Israel/Cypress/Greece pipeline? ! Why not? Too bad Israel doesn’t have large oil reserves–one of the few nations in the Middle East that does not. They’ve done well even without it–but if they could be energy independent–or, better, an exporter–it would be a very good thing.

He hated communism but was clever enough.not to get us involved in Vietnam. Thatcher was a Tory blip but Blair was the biggest criminal as he lied and manufactured the doggy dossier against Iraq. There were no WMDs. The American inspectors verified that.

I blame Putin first and foremost; then Xi Jinping for having given the nod (“just do it after the Olympics”). Putin is driven by a powerful Russian nationalism that sees at least Russia, Ukraine, and Belorus as the core of a Russian Empire that need rebuilding. My guess is that Xi gave the nod because he thinks that maybe he can take over the Russian economy after Western sanctions have done their work; maybe gain acquiescence to the reabsorbtion of Mongolia (possibly with Tuva attached) and Kazakhstan east of Balkhash just in case the “liberation” of Taiwan gets sunk in the Taiwan Strait.

Kepha, with all respect, I don’t believe that Putin’s thinking he has the right to conquer his neighbors in order to rebuild the Russian empire is a mitigating factor–rather, it is the problem.
And who knows where he will stop if successful in Ukraine? Will he threaten Poland–which he has already aggressively sent hordes of Muslims to their border–the Baltic States, other parts of Eastern Europe, Finland?
Re China, I don’t know how much danger Mongolia is in–but certainly Taiwan is threatened. Other possibly emboldened thugs include Turkey, North Korea, and Iran.
