The number of niqab-wearing hiking enthusiasts in Germany and elsewhere is likely to be vanishingly small. In fact, all of them may be depicted in this Jack Wolfskin video. But Jack Wolfskin is not really appealing to niqabis to buy outdoor clothing. This is virtue-signaling to German Leftists who will buy Jack Wolfskin products while congratulating themselves that they’re not like those evil right-wingers who oppose mass Muslim migration into Germany and the slow Islamization of German society.
“When bondage is sold as self-determination,” translated from “Wenn Unfreiheit als Selbstbestimmung verkauft wird,” by Laila Mirzo, Junge Freiheit, March 9, 2022 (thanks to Medforth):
Tuesday was International Women’s Day. In Berlin, this has even been a public holiday since 2019. Whether you have to close the schools and paralyze the economy, I will leave out for a moment. However, in view of the blatant human rights violations against women in many, predominantly Islamic, countries, it is important and necessary to remember the long road to equality.
Especially since the erosion of the safety of women and girls has been steadily progressing for years. Even in Germany, the reality of their lives is increasingly characterized by sexual assault, rape, physical harm and murder. Unforgotten is New Year’s Eve in Cologne in 2015, when hundreds of women were victims of sexual assault.
By this night at the latest, women have learned the lesson that they are no longer masters of their personal freedom and security. Anyone who goes out has to consider what clothing is “appropriate”. Because showing too much skin or wearing loose hair can even be understood by men from the Muslim culture as an “invitation” to cross borders.
No headscarf, no security
In Islam, family honor depends to a large extent on the behavior and reputation of the female family members. Wearing a headscarf is a religious obligation for women and girls from puberty onwards in Islam. The Koran commands them in suras 33 and 59 to “cover themselves in their cloak”, because in this way they are “more likely to be recognized” and “would not be hurt”.A woman who is visually recognizable as a Muslim through the headscarf is virtually safe from attacks. An “unbelieving” woman therefore not. So the Muslim headscarf is not a harmless piece of cloth, it is the calling card of the inhuman Sharia and the symbol for the oppression of women.
The outdoor outfitter Jack Wolfskin has probably never heard of the struggle of Muslim women for freedom and self-determination. The company is currently advertising with a fully veiled model. A sponsored video clip has been running on social media featuring “Amira,” a hiking-loving British Muslim woman wearing a niqab. Jack Wolfskin praises the concealment, which only leaves out the eyes, as a desirable diversity with the following slogan: “Amira is the founder of the “Wanderlust Women,” a community that advocates more diversity in the outdoor area!”
Concealment is the end of self-determination
Cheers to the marketers who have managed to square the circle in selling a sign of inequality as a symbol of freedom. The headscarf is the end of all diversity, it is the uniform of a misogynist religion. In countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran, women are jailed and physically punished if they don’t cover themselves properly. Under Taliban rule in Afghanistan, it sometimes even costs them their lives. What message does Jack Wolfskin want to send to women and girls in the Islamic world? The veiling of women is the end of self-determination and individual development. Muslim “influencers” and romantic nature shots cannot change that. It remains to be hoped that the customers will penalize the company accordingly for this unsuccessful advertising campaign.
Andrew Blackadder says
muslim men openly state that they want women covered from head to toe in order that they will not be raped by muslim men, therefore muslim men are themselves admitting they are in fact rapists.
Who knew?.

Where’s that “Casablanca” video with “I am shocked, SHOCKED…”?
Amazing how easy it is to totally negate women’s rights to their own bodies for “religious” reasons and to guarantee they won’t be “having their fun” under any by the holy approved conditions. Even on the hunting trail, it appears. Or in the cool water of a mountain lake, weighed down by a heavy, waterlogged garment so that her lord and master and her imaginary god and child-abusing “prophet” might not be “offended”. Just watching those poor women makes me cringe and want to kick their “guardians” where it would hurt the most and make them postpone “going to their tilth” for a few days.
On the other hand, should she want to “accidentally” shoot that s.o.b. her father sold her to in “marriage”, she can always plead compromised visibility or having tripped over the hem of her waterlogged burka.
Shame on Wolfskin, but then I don’t imagine the knows the meaning of the word.

Whenever I see this kind of thing, it gives me the feeling that mozlums have a whole lot to hide.
It would be great if more companies ceo’s, marketers, etc. could open their eyes to the Truth and stop enabling mozlum terrorists.
There isn’t much hope for that.

I do what I can to avoid these companies even if it’s getting harder and harder. The worst thing about it is they pretend to stand for something when in fact they don’t stand for anything. We all know they’re primarily concerned with lining their own pockets. But we will see how well these companies will do in the future as the left and Islam becomes even more dominant and gets to determine policy making in Europe and America. If companies think that those groups will look favorably upon profit-maximization and property-rights they have another thing coming…

What a sick joke. I believe that Germany, just like all other countries with Muslims, is having all the usual problems, such as rape gangs, etc, and yet these clowns think that sucking up to Muslims with an ugly ad campaign is the way to go. What pathetic sellout merchants. Hopefully, lots of people will boycott any product made by this mob. And this niqab is surely the ugliest garment around. 7th century arab shit in our modern world.
Michael Copeland says
Where is the woman’s male guardian?
She seems to be out of her house on her own – haram, forbidden.
The muslim woman is not permitted to Wander, still less to Lust. Merely the suggestion of it is an insult to muslim males’ dignity.

He’s taking the photo.. just before he punishes her for her “wandering” and invading the male’s domain of lusting. Drowning or slicing and dicing are his choices way up there. Or strangling her with the long scarf she displays.

Good question, Michael. One of the whole points of Purdah is that a woman should not leave her house unless with a male guardian, and only then if it is *absolutely necessary*. I don’t think that going hiking counts…

Years ago, here and elsewhere, I used to describe the burqa/jilbab costumes as a muslim version of klanswear. The Klan had their white hoods and were head to toe in White, and the only difference here was that the white hoods were worn by men, and here, the black hoods are worn by women. And then there’s that the latter wearers are muslim, while the former were not. Yet, while the white hood is a cancel-able offense, the black hood is not
It’ll be a miracle if islam gets defeated in the end, w/ this level of collaboration and collusion from its perceived enemies

Yep–hard to maintain Purdah while hiking, even if you do it in a Niqab…

Yes–that is *exactly* what this is all about. dhimmi tools.

Yes, gravenimage, that’s who this sickening advertisement would be aimed at. Maybe a lot of people who might have purchased things from this company will decide that they won’t buy any of their products from now on. I’m not sure if it is true, but I often hear the commentators on Sky News say, “Go woke, go broke”.

I hope so, Tim.

Yes … ‘virtue-signalling’, rather than real, actual virtue.
Promoting misogyny and suppression of women’s human rights and civil liberties is not ‘virtuous’.
