French poll finds 85% of Jews believe antisemitism is widespread; Muslims most influenced by it

In 2018, the President of the Confederation of Jews in France, Ricard Abitbol, stated that “in a few decades, there will be no Jews in France.” Due the high levels of violent antisemitism, correlated to mass Muslim migration, Jews were moving to Israel. Violent antisemitic incidents reportedly spiked when Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. 

It hasn’t gotten any better for Jews in France since then. If anything, it’s worse.

The survey, by French Institute of Public Opinion (IFOP), a French international polling and market research firm, also “found that the Muslim population in France was the most influenced by the dissemination of antisemitic propaganda.”

This should come as no surprise. Islamic antisemitism is ingrained in mainstream Islam, and further provoked by the Palestinian “resistance.”

For example, in 2017, Saudi schools were teaching students about Muhammad’s statements that Jews and Christians are accursed and Muslims must kill Jews, while fifth-grade textbooks were also teaching kids that the “hour” will come after Muslims “kill the Jews.” Last October, a media channel in Saudi Arabia broadcast an animated video for children on YouTube, depicting a Quranic story about Allah turning Jews into apes. And Shia Iran has always aimed to destroy the Jewish state, funding proxies including Hamas and Hizballah. With the new Iran nuke deal that frees up over $100 billion to flow into the coffers of Iran, there will be an inevitable escalation against Israel, which will serve to fuel further anti-Semitism, not only in France, but globally.

A recent French survey on antisemitism found that 85 percent of French Jews believe that antisemitism and antisemitic sentiments are widespread in France, CNews reported.

The survey, published by IFOP, a French international polling and market research firm, found that 64 percent of the general population in the country and 85 percent of the Jewish community feel that antisemitism is ever-present in French society, and that 68 percent of French Jews reported that they had faced harassment and abuse for being Jewish. Twenty percent also said they were the victims of anti-Jewish physical assaults at east once.

According to the survey, antisemitic stereotypes are held by a large majority of the country.

The poll found that 30 percent of participants thought that “Jews are richer than the average French person” and 37% thought that Jews had too much influence in the French economy and financial system.

Those who were over 65-years old were found to more likely harbor antisemitic beliefs than younger participants in the survey.

Attacks against Jews were found to increase sharply when the individual was wearing a religious symbol, the study also noted.
