There is obviously considerable difference of opinion about this, as we can see from the entry of Chechen jihadis into Ukraine. The case here is based on Qur’an 42:14-15, quoted in the article with illuminating textual glosses added by the Salafi Centre. The main point here is that Muslims should not trust the establishment media, which is good advice for everyone, and that they should wait for judgment from Muslims who have no ulterior motives and aren’t allied with anyone who is vying for geopolitical dominance. The Qur’an’s imperatives for Muslims to seek geopolitical dominance aren’t mentioned.

Oh, how I wish Western governments would adopt the same attitude towards the ummah, across the board. Just let them kick seven bells of poop out of each other away from the West, don’t get involved and let their fellow travelers take care of all “refugees”.
Why do Westerners think it’s their job to “get involved” every single time when it results in astronomical costs and “bring home with you” “refugees”?
It’s funny how all those begging-bowl nations joust to be the first in the queue for handouts. I’m yet to hear of one falling over itself to offer any concrete help, even if it’s a few doctors.

Yeah, just like we see internecine muslim wars as Alien vs Predator, they see our conflicts the same way. Which is why it’s a tad surprising that most of them have taken Russia’s side in this: probably b’cos the West is siding w/ Ukraine
