Erdogan asks EU to relaunch membership talks for Turkey

If Turkey becomes a member of the EU, Europe as we have known it will be definitively over. But everyone in the EU leadership who knows anything about Turkey’s historic relationship to Europe, or about the political and cultural implications of even more mass Muslim migration into Europe, has already been silenced as an “Islamophobe.” Expect Turkey to get in. And then watch what happens.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Tuesday asked the European Union to relaunch talks for Turkey to eventually become an EU member, on the eve of a summit focused on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Agence France-Presse reported.

The Turkish president’s comments come as the war in Ukraine allows Ankara to return to the international stage by offering its services as a mediator in the conflict.

“We expect the EU to open quickly the chapters of the membership negotiations and to start negotiations on a customs union without yielding to cynical calculations,” Erdoğan said after talks with visiting Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

Negotiations for Turkey’s accession one day to the 27-nation EU, which began in 2005, have stalled in recent years over tensions between the two sides, with the EU accusing Turkey of moving away from the rule-of-law and other values on which the bloc is founded.

Relations between Turkey and the EU worsened sharply after the July 2016 attempted coup.

The EU has often criticized the crackdown and the attacks on freedom of speech which followed the failed putsch, in which tens of thousands of people have been arrested including journalists.

The EU and Turkey had agreed a deal in March 2016 worth billions of euros in which Turkey would take back migrants in exchange for visa liberalization, which has yet to be introduced for Turks….

    • Quite. As I understand, he is only asking for a customs union. Do you see that as the thin end of the wedge?
      I am equally interested in Erdogan’s refugee racket: the damming if the Tigris and Euphrates driving a mass exodus of Syrians and Iraqis and the protection money paid by the EU. If you know details of this please say.

      • Michael, it says in the article above that Erdogan’s goal is full EU membership.

        As for the dams, I think that Erdogan wants to control water to Arabs–he is a Turkish supremacist, and controlling water gives him a political edge. It might also cause a rush of Muslims to the West, which Erdogan would likely consider gravy.

The Turkish state must first uphold the separation of church and state, promote religious freedom, reform its civic code according the UN Human rights standards, remove the crescent from its flag, return Hagia Sophia to the Greek Orthodox Church- its rightful owners, pay retribution for the Armenian genocide and finally, dissociate itself From the muslim border hood.

  5. It’s a mistake for Turkey to be apart of such alliance. The disbelievers will never leave Muslims alone. They are all from the same cloth of filth who only want Muslims to surrender their religion and their dignity. Turkey should remind the Europeans that the size of their is that of cats and dogs who till yesterday destroyed all of the middle east with the US.

      I asked Muslims straight up if they think Islam is so great, why don’t they stay in their own countries? And they replied to turn our countries into Islamic states.

      If it was up to people like me, you’d all be shipped back pronto-except those who leave Islam and pose no threat to us.

      What “Tony”–really, Abdul–means by this is that Infidels won’t stop defending against Jihad terror, and would prefer it if Muslims would stop trying to conquor, rape, and murder us. Bad dhimmis!

      That Abdul considers this to be theri “religion” and “dignity” is grotesquely telling.

      Then, he has said many times that the US and the rest of the West have “destroyed” the Middle East. I can only assume he means that they dared take down the Islamic State.

      After all, what is more Islamic than a state that fills trash bins with its victims heads, uses underaged unbelievers as sex slaves, and crucifies children who snack during Ramadan?

        Many Muslims don’t seem to realize their fellow Muslims will kill them for breaking Islamic rules/laws as they would non-Muslims. It’s as much a danger to us as it is to them.

        Islam is Barbarism posing as some sort of ‘enlightened religion.’ It is nothing more than a cult of death, anti-intellectualism, destruction, fascism, and criminality that makes mafia crime syndicates green with envy.

        The worst thing about Muslims though is that they’ve managed to convince people to not speak out against their evil ideology even to the point of trying to make it a crime.

        Of course they couldn’t have done it without traitors and cowards mostly on the Left who’ve gone along with this dirty tactic. They know if the masses truly understand what Islam is about 90% of non-Muslims will turn against them.

        So really educating our fellow non-Muslim should be our highest goal. Once enough people understand the threat, esp. amongst our elites and assuming they have a backbone, then the real fight back for the defense of our freedom and way of life will begin.

        I don’t think we’re there yet, but given that there are leaders like Geert Wilders, Zemmour and Le Pen, it’s a good sign that people are starting to wake up.

  8. Turkey cannot join the EU unless they abolish the death penalty.
    Turkey is nowhere near the North Atlantic and so why are they in the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance.
    Turkey is not in Europe, so why would they be allowed in Europe.
    Some say that parts of Turkey are in Europe, therefore thats enough, BUT, less than a quarter of 1% of Turkey is in Europe and the Capital of Turkey is about 1000 Miles / 1600Klms, away from the Straits that somewhat connect Turkey to Europe.
    This Turkish madman is playing Europeans for the fools he thinks they all are.
    The EU is now a pretty fascist-communist stupid organization and so one more idiot like Erdogan will make Europe islamic as that is the plan as he has stated more than once.
    My beautiful European cultures are being destroyed by moronic Far Left Europeans and helped along by crazy islamic morons that think god is into destroying what they say he created…

  9. With its appalling human rights record Turkey has no place in EU. Apart from that Turks are even European. The access of 60 million Muslims into Europe would be the end of us all. Of course his main card is threatening to send all his refugees into Europe.
    Erdogan sees his attempt to be the new leader of Islam has failed so now he is back asking to be let into EU.

    • This is true, bill. Erdogan has said he will send hordes of Turks into Europe if they do not accede to his demands–but if Turkey *was* granted EU mambership, Muslim Turks could flood in legally.

      Of course, this has nothing to do with race–this is about the savagery of Islam, which “Falsafa” (philosophy) regularly lauds. Most Turks are Anatolians who converted to the barbarism of Islam at some point over the centuries. Many of them are no different ethnically from Greeks and Armenians.

      Note that “Falsafa” doesn’t want Turkey to become a civilized European nation, but to supposedly expose Europeans for being “racist” for balking at the unregulated flood of Muslim invaders that EU membership would lead to, with its attendant welfare grasping, piracy, rape, and Jihad terror.

    • I’d love to see it. This was always a foolish idea, and with Turkey’s increasing Islamization under Erdogan it is especially insane.
