This is a real “Let Them Eat Cake” moment for Transportation Department top dog Pete Buttigieg, as most Americans can’t afford electric cars and the infrastructure isn’t there for them in all parts of the country, but Buttigieg here reveals the Biden agenda. He doesn’t care about skyrocketing gas prices because he wants to drive internal combustion engines out of existence anyway. It’s part of the Green New Deal plan. The suffering he will cause by doing so is of little moment to Biden and Buttigieg; they won’t experience it. Neither will EPA top dog Michael Regan, who makes the plan clear.

Infidel says
In fact, in addition to the war on coal and oil, Biden even ended mining of rare earths – the minerals needed for the batteries that power all these things. It’s beyond stupid. The Dems can’t think beyond ONE step of any given policy, which is why they come up w/ scatterbrained policies such as these
Honestly, every leftist in the world should be rounded up, put into one of Elon Musk’s rockets and sent on a one way trip to Uranus. They’ll never have to worry about
global warmingclimate change ever again!somehistory says
Evil can never see beyond the damage to be done to their enemies. It’s a mad, evil, rush to make life unbearable for those they don’t kill outright. They are too focused on doing damage to us to realize damage will be done to themselves, and things will not turn out the way they envision.
Cemetaries are full of those who thought they could outwit others by crafty, evil designs; taking the long dirt nap right alongside those they killed.
Wellington says
America is presently run by jokers and clowns. Fossil fuels, which the Left hates, have made life for untold millions much more convenient. Moreover, CO2 is not a poison. It’s food for plants. The world a thousand years ago was warmer than it is now, i.e., the medieval warming period which lasted from about 700-1300 AD, and as best as I can determine there weren’t many people, factories or SUVs back then (and the Mann “hockey stick” is as bogus as Biden being President, if you get my meaning). Solar activity, the oceans and seas of the world pumping out 190-230 gigatons of CO2 into the atmosphere annually compared to man putting out, from all his activities, some 20-30 gigatons of CO2, as well as ocean currents, have far more effect on climate than anything puny man does. Besides, CO2 in higher levels of the atmosphere actually has a cooling effect.
So-called clean energy (and America has the cleanest way of utilizing fossil fuels of any country on Earth, something ignored by the morons in the bogus Biden Administration) has many problems of its own, among them being what windmills dotted across the landscape does to wildlife and landscapes and the fact that electric batteries when they corrode (and they will) will produce a much more toxic effect than ANY fossil fuel.
The entire green energy rot is part of a larger problem, i.e., environmentalism becoming a substitute, secular religion, replete with the subliminal message that nature is good and civilization bad. I for one am very sick of this nonsense and the expense of green energy, never mind its own many inefficiencies, will be enormous, for instance the cost and maintenance of an electric car which Butthead keeps pushing.
The Age of Nonsense marches on. You bet it does. And it is led by the Left which gets everything wrong that it touches—education, patriotism, the flag, defense, sports, the Constitution, the law, bathrooms, gender, the Boy Scouts, marriage, religion and even pronouns.
Western Civilization is the greatest civilization in history. Easy call. But it is presently being destroyed from within far more than from without (e.g., tyrants like Putin and Xi, never mind the forever decrepit, destructive and parasitic Islamic world). Leftism is the enemy within and by now one knows this or should know it. Biden and his ilk can go to Hell. Wish they would. They’re slowly destroying us with all their idiotic ideas, including tying in a clean environment (which fossil fuels can produce) with faux social justice concepts, which just means more social engineering, which just means more government and a plethora of screwed-up policies.
Mankind is ordinarily an idiot. The Biden Administration reveals this overwhelmingly. Putin in power in Russia does so in another (and deadly) way. Ditto for Xi, the forever dysfunctional Latin America, and a craven country like Germany (N.B., Churchill was right, to wit, the Germans are either at your throat or at your feet), et al. Time for a beer.
Westman says
Well said, Wellington.
I’m always amazed at how agency heads are chosen among people who have no real knowledge of what they are administering. When it comes to technology, MBs, Law, etc, do not equate to knowledge.
Even Elon Musk succeeds by choosing people who actually know what they administer, from the ground up. He also fires those who can’t efficiently solve problems.
Though, not in his best profit interest, Elon Musk is calling for expanded oil and gas production because he actually cares about the US and the hardship Biden’s wrong-headed policies will inflict on Americans. If I had to choose who’s advice to follow between Biden and Musk it wouldn’t be Biden and his power-broker handlers. They are fully on the road to stupid.

Klaus Schwab’s next move, methinks will be cyberattack- – see what that will do to the economy and how fast it will happen.

I have to admire his idea about putting a bike in the back of your limo and then having your chauffeur drop you off a couple of blocks from work so you can then ride your bike the rest of the way. That’s simply brilliant.
Infidel says
What he should do is have a chain attached b/w the limo and the bike, putting the bike in front, the limo in neutral and then him towing the limo w/ the bicycle. Encourage ordinary people – especially the obese to do that. That will enable them to show Putin!
CogitoErgoSum says
That would work great (maybe) if his job was downhill from where he lives but it might be slow going on the way back home (if he made it to work). So I would suggest he keep in mind the word “elevation” when choosing where to work and where to live. But I’m sure his main concern would always be for the greater good of Mother Earth and he would suck it up if he lived somewhere with a lot of hills. I’d sure love to see him move out of D.C. and give it a try someplace like, oh, let’s say San Francisco.
somehistory says
Keep in mind temperature too. How about riding a bike during the summer in some southern state or in winter living in the Rockies…all the way to work and home again and to wherever else one must go.
And without electricity…no coal, etc., then he’d need one of those manual pumps to keep up his tire pressure.
Infidel says
Somehistory, while one is panting while biking uphill, have the mouth connected to a tube connected to the tires, so that the pressures are maintained at 1 atmosphere. That done, everything is balanced! See, eco-friendly sustainable living. On top of everything, if a white person or a ‘white-adjacent’ person is doing it, then environmental justice too is achieved

It’s all part of the global warming cult and the green new deal scam.
somehistory says
It’s the long-awaited (by them) Agenda 21 which became Agenda 2030, where they take all means of transportation, all food, all energy, all water sources, make everyone live in “smart cities,” etc., and they are now calling the Great Reset as they are about to have it all come crashing down on those they wish to enslave or kill.
gregbeetham says
It’s the ‘take’ part that might be problematic for them.
somehistory says
that’s why they’ve been trying to “take” the guns first. and now to silence everyone who finds a problem with what they are doing, so the masses are unprepared.
and, we’ve seen so many just give in and go along with the way they have been doing things for the past couple of years…shutting businesses, masking, testing,, taking shots that they now say will never end…boosters every few months …many everyday citizens even making the arguments for them as if all that they were doing was really for the ‘good’ of their citizens.
I get texts just about every week about seeing mental health experts to endure the “social distancing,” and other rules they made to see if everyone would fall in line.
I know many who comment here took the jabs…and that is their choice that I would not take away from them….but it was all a part of a larger agenda….21 and 30.
More shootings just this week at schools and on the street and the word continues about “guns” being the problem.
gregbeetham says
You guys at least have the 2nd whereas we in Oz don’t so owning a couple of guns is perhaps more tenuous here than there and we have the loony anti gun greens to contend with as well. But despite the nutters gun ownership has gone up and I saw the other day that as gun ownership went up in NSW the gun crime rate went down, funny that.
When it came to vaxxes and my age bracket I thought the prudent thing to do was get them when I was notified by my local clinic they were available, two Astrazeneca last year and then more recently a Moderna booster and I noticed no complications, well, none so far, maybe I killed any complications with alcohol.
When you get old-ish you get used to being more ‘alone’ so being alone didn’t bother me, not that we had extended lockdowns where I live just the same, that happened in a crazy foreign country down south called Victoria.
You have noticed like me I guess that shootings happen in places where guns are banned, homicidal nutters like to conduct their obscenities where it is safe for them to do so, hmm there’s a message in there somewhere.
somehistory says
Yes, it is true that where the average citizen has a gun, and it’s common knowledge that most do, the criminals are less likely to do their criminal activities because they don’t want to be looking down a barrel while they steal or ….
In some places, like Texas for instance, most guys and many women own guns and know how to use them. Snakes in animal form are one reason, but they are useful in deterring human snakes too.
Growing up. there were multiple guns in our family and my father insisted on teaching us all how to use them. We were a law-abiding family like most of our family and neighbors. My father used them to hunt for food, and to scare the birds from our crops. reports were a regular part of daily life when berries were ripening in the field.
If the politicians weren’t trying to gain points with the loons, there would not be the constant refrain of guns making the problems. Being tough on crime is no longer the refrain, but that guns are the criminals. They absolutely know they are lying.
I have medical and religious reasons for not getting the shots; and since finding out so much of what is in them and the problems being caused to so very many, I’m just glad I didn’t submit. I hope you and the others here escape the adverse effects many are experiencing.
Infidel says
Greg
You guys made a real mistake letting go of your guns. I doubt that even a ‘conservative’ government will restore you those rights
gregbeetham says
Yeah they seized their opportunity when public sentiment was boiling over against guns and anyone who owned guns right after the Port Arthur massacre. Anyone who owned a gun was a potential mass murderer kind of thing, but anyway whatever when you are in a minority and the majority would rather be helpless victims, or just as bad, depend on the police for protection, what can you do? All the cops are good for is to try to figure out what happened afterward, which doesn’t help the victims much.
I have some guns of various calibres, in a gun safe of course, they have to be secure when I leave the house to go to the supermarket or such, but I can have them lying around, if I want, as long as I’m there (I live alone) because I’m the licensed owner (weapons licence) they are registered too.

There is something weird going on,it seems the US will actually give Ukraine Mig-29 fighter planes to battle
the Russians.
Jacques Guillemain ,the French analyst, who has really seen through most of the fog, says:
1. Ukraine’s plane landing areas have been destroyed.
2. The Mig 29s will HAVE to TAKE off and LAND outside of Ukraine: in Poland,or another neighboring country.
3. If,for example, ,POLAND, decides to let Ukrainian Mig 29s take off and land in its territory on war missions, it would in effect be becoming a war partner of Ukraine, declaring war on Russia.
I doubt ANY East European government (Serbia,Bulgaria,Hungary,Poland,Slovakia,Romania, etc) would be so stupid as to risk war with Russia that way.
Wellington says
Query, Doomer. Are you certain that all Ukraine’s plane landing areas have been destroyed, especially in western Ukraine which still remains largely in tact?
Ukraine is the size of all six New England states combined, along with New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. For West Coast comparisons, it is larger than two Californias, and if California was on the East coast of America, it would stretch from the New York/Pennsylvania border to central Georgia. As I learned long ago, geography is the handmaiden of history. No one can really understand history (or military strategy and tactics) without geography.
Methinks that Ukraine still has many landing places. Your turn if you wish.
Infidel says
Yeah, I don’t think Lviv is anywhere near being taken. So far, all the carnage has been east of a straight line from Chernobyl to Odessa

With this new Robert Spencer article which exposes the skyrocketing gas prices because of Joe Biden with his horribly flawed fool economics which is really nothing more the his meddling and interfering with the American free enterprise system a total disgrace to sound ans rational economic .
It’s therefore appropriate to reiterate that the high prices for fuel and the gas station are not only terrible but the price for gas will still grow higher. Things will get worse – “thanks” to Biden.
All because of that awful Biden with his socialist economics, he is a disaster for both America and the American people.
Walter Sieruk says
The sharp rise in the price of gas is the result of Joe Biden with his continue terrible and fool interference in the business of free enterprise because of his socialism which, especially for Biden is his Federal government meddling in capitalism is an economic disaster.
Where are all the people who rightly recognize the sold, firm economic precepts of Adam Smith with his great and grand book THE WEALTH OF NATIONS in America when this country needs them so much ?
Nevertheless, the villainy of Joe Biden has no limits, as seen in many American workers losing their much need jobs seen in the oil pipeline business.
High prices for fuel and the gas station and at the grocery store, the supermarket empty shelves are becoming more and empty. Likewise, prices are growing higher. Things will get worse.
All because of that awful Biden with his socialist economics, he is a disaster for both America and the American people.
Joe Biden is mindlessly or viciously continuing the same old flawed socialist policies of former boss, Obama, maybe Obama is still Biden’s real boss ?
Nevertheless the harm done to the United States economy as seen by all the Americans who have lose the jobs because of Biden is awful.
Furthermore, the high prices for fuel and the gas station and at the grocery store, the supermarket empty shelves are becoming more and empty. Likewise, prices are growing higher. Things will get worse.
All because of that Joe Biden with his socialist economics along with the power elate who hold him up. – Damn them.

CogitoErgoSum says
I have an idea. Why not put the horse in front of a wagon and have him pull it? You might even be able to cover the wagon with some canvas in case of rain. When it’s a windy day you might even be able to use the canvas as a sail and give the horse a rest by putting some roller skates on him and tying him to the back of the wagon.
Infidel says
You are being speciesist! Why would Pete be the passenger? He should be in front of the wagon pulling it, while the horse should be allowed to stand/sit on the wagon. Maybe even give him roller blades so that he can move more smoothly

Buttigieg, has been confused all his life, Hell he thinks he’s a women, I’m surprised us tax payers haven’t all ready paid for his conversion. I know it may seem like OBiden’s agenda but the fact is that inflation and war and disease (and more) are all part of Bible prophecy before the return of the Christ. Of course, there is no authority that G-d *doesn’t* appoint (Romans 13:1), so G-d puts in power those who will enable His divine plan to unfold.
Re, inflation:
Revelation 6:6 (AMP)
6 “And I heard something like a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius (a day’s wages), and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not [a]damage the oil and the wine.””
Footnotes
[a] This may be a warning to be very careful handling olive oil and wine, which ordinarily are basic commodities, because famine will make them very expensive. The vision indicates that famine and inflation will take such a toll that a laborer will earn only enough to feed himself with wheat, or to provide barley for a small family. He will have almost nothing left for clothing, shelter, and incidentals.
