The Real Terrorist Attack Trudeau Ignored While Cracking Down on the Freedom Convoy

In justifying his invocation of the Emergencies Act and turning Canada into a police state, Justin Trudeau falsely claimed that the Freedom Convoy was “not a peaceful protest” and asserted that “the blockades are harming our economy and endangering public safety.” Unsurprisingly, however, Trudeau’s outrage was selective: on Thursday, Canada suffered a genuine terror attack that was not a peaceful protest and that undeniably hurt the Canadian economy and endangered public safety, yet Trudeau didn’t say a word. The terrorists in question were Leftists, so they got a pass.

The UK’s Daily Mail reported Thursday that “ax-wielding eco-terrorists attacked a British Columbia gas pipeline Thursday, shooting flare guns at frightened workers and causing millions in damage…About 20 attackers, wearing camouflage and masks, surrounded Costal [sic] Gaslink [sic] workers in the early morning hours of February 17 in what the company called a ‘highly planned and dangerous unprovoked assault.’”

Reportedly, only one person was hurt, but that was sheer serendipity. Coastal GasLink added: “In one of the most concerning acts, an attempt was made to set a vehicle on fire while workers were inside. The attackers also wielded axes, swinging them at vehicles and through a truck’s window. Flare guns were also fired at workers. Workers fled the site for their own safety and remain shaken by this violent incident.”

Photos of the attack showed “smashed windows and overturned heavy earth-moving equipment. Trees were downed to block roads and a gaping hole was hacked into the side of a mobile office trailer.” Even worse, “smoke bombs and torches were thrown at police as they tried to make their way past fires set in the road way.” One police officer was injured.

The pipeline is controversial because it runs through the territory of the Wet’suwet’en people, “who never ceded the land to the Canadian government.” Chief Madeek of the Wet’suwet’en explained: “Our people never ever surrendered or ceded any portion of this territory. We are the rightful titleholders of the territory, we are the caretakers of this land and that’s what we are going to do, take care of this land.”

Despite the fact that doing so could land them in hot water with the woke crowd, Canadian officials were quick to condemn the incident, albeit in decidedly tepid language. Canadian Industry Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne declared: “This is truly disturbing. Violence and illegal acts are not the way forward on any matter.” RCMP Chief Superintendent Warren Brown said: “This was a calculated and organized violent attack that left its victims shaken and a multimillion dollar path of destruction.”

Being a Canadian and staying sharp with the lies and propoganda this country allows to let it’s citizens see,I,not once,saw any story about this.I do see all the lies spouted about the Freedom Convoy and Tucker Carlson though.They leave those stories on for weeks.Yahoo News is one of their propogangists.Their stories and bias sicken me.Im 54 and I’ve never known Canada to ever be this sad and pathetic.The USA. and Canada are in deep trouble.There is only one way this is gonna go.

    • One mistake the trucker leaders made was NOT anticipating ( maybe they were naive and innocent ) the LIES that would be told about them.

      a. They should have EVERY day uploaded short videos on BITCHUTE and RUMBLE,etc ( never youtube) saying:

      our movement is anti-fascism, anti-racism, anti-Nazi, anti-Confederacy,etc.Play the Leftist game.

      b. AND if somebody in our protest appears who waves the swastika,etc, we condemn the person today and forever.

      c. AND if you read in the Canadian newspapers and hear via CNN,BBC,NBC etc that we are racists, Nazis,etc, it is a lie of the Left. If any of you read Vox,Daily Beast and Salon ,the Leftist websites, and read that we are FAR right,Extreme right, then no,

      d. The ones who are far and extreme right are NEO-Nazis and other anti-human rights groups like the Islamist political parties that favor killing ex-Muslims. We are pro-human rights: freedom of speech,of assembly,etc.

If only we had in countries like Canada and America a ruthlessly objective media this alone would take care of so much crap.

  2. I presume this gas pipeline is the one over the Rocky mountains to the Pacific coast that Canada is building to take their natural gas to the Peoples Republic of China, now that the Biden administration has killed off the Keystone XL pipeline project.

    I have seen this story elsewhere, I think originally from the Daily Mail, but it’s unclear who these ‘axe-wielding eco-terrorists’, throwing molotov cocktails s and shooting flare guns, actually are. The Mounties and the Canadian government seem unwilling to come to grips with them.

    I’ve asked who they are, and haven’t gotten a straight answer. Can anyone tell me? Are these Wet’suwet’en radicals, violently defending tribal territorial claims?

  3. As a first nations man I can fully understand the people wanting to defend their land.
    Chief Madeek made the point that they are the caretakers of the land and this is so, not for big business, not for the Canadian government and not for themselves but for their children and grandchildren.
    We do not own our “country” as we call it, “country” owns us and we are looking after it for future generations.
    For me the defence is justified, however, the violence is only to be used as a last resort.
    And at no time should a human be targeted.

    • I understand your point, but let’s not fool ourselves into thinking that the tribe has any sovereignty over “their” land.

      Our world is and has always been formed by conflict and conquest. The tribes that occupied the land when Europeans arrived had conquered their portion of Canada. Europeans then conquered Canada, turning it into the country that it is today.

      If a tribe want sovereignty, then they shouldn’t also have government support, taxpayer $$$, or Canadian citizenship. It can’t be a one way street.

      I mean what if people in the UK started saying “we should kick out all the Anglo-Saxons and Viking ancestors because this land once belonged to the Beaker people or the Celts”

      Or if people in Northern Africa said “all Arabs should leave because they are not originally from here”

      I know you’re not advocating for anything like this, but the “it’s our land and we decide what happens here” attitude is similar.

      We need to stop living in the past. The tribes of Canada have never been more prosperous, yet they never stop complaining. I’m tired of people only looking at this issue from one angle.

      What about all the benefits that have come to the Indigenous Canadians thanks to the European conquest? Would they really want to still live in the pre-European stone age? No electricity, no indoor heating, no supermarkets, no internet? I doubt it.

  4. The Canadian Civil Liberties Association and the Province of Alberta are planning to sue the Trudeau government in the Supreme Court of Canada. Their argument is that the peaceful truckers’ protest did not meet the criteria required in the Emergency Act. The Act was put into effect without sufficient cause and results in an overreach that crushes the freedom of speech and the freedom of assemble.

    Many believe the Supreme Court of Canada will affirm the contentions of the plaintiffs that the government acted improperly.

    It’s fascism and that’s how Mussolini and Hitler took over … by using the laws on the books improperly to crush protest and the voices of opposition.

    The Trudeau government has been introducing bill after bill seeking to impose more censorship and government control of the citizens.

      The deep state always seems to get what they want, even if it’s “temporary”.

      Look at Biden’s unconstitutional mandates, or the rent moratorium. They did it despite knowing it was illegal and got away with it for months.

      Even if they win the case, the damage is already done. They already stole millions, arrested hundreds, and ruined countless lives.

  5. If BLM and Antifa rioted in Ottawa and engaged in much destruction of property and even caused death, Trudeau would have done nothing other than perhaps grovel before these two left-wing thug groups.

    Huge double standards exist in Canada, the US, the UK and in most of the West. Nothing could be clearer. Muslims and Leftists can get away with most anything but mainstream conservatives are reprehensible and deserve to be punished. How disgusting. How stupid. But this is the way of things in this nonsensical era in which we live. And how very destructive of liberty is all of this.

    • Hi Somehistory, going back to our conversation yesterday. This morning I got the result of that lesion I had removed from my elbow it said,”your right elbow has only shown some light induced skin damage called actinic keratosis” it sounds worse than what it is, but thankfully It’s benign. It went on to say, “no further treatment is necessary”. So I’m quite happy with that. I thought Id let you Know.

        I’ve had those spots come up and then go away all on their own. Thank you for letting me know that it’s nothing about which to be worried.

      • John, years ago I was waiting for a doctor to take some skin cancer off my face. He did not know I was in the room when he entered. He was telling a nurse how annoying an old lady’s family was, always questioning why he could not do more for their mother. He said she was slowly rotting and they should learn to deal with it.

        When he turned around and saw me, I said I hope you will be that honest with me if that time comes. LOL He never said another word, but his face was really red. After that I started adding apple cider vinegar to my daily diet and saturating my spots with it. Now I am older than dirt but not rotting.

        • ET, I bet that doctor didn’t know were to look when he realized that you had heard the conversation. I’m so glad everything worked out well with your skin cancer.
          A really good and close friend of mine had some skin cancer removed about a year ago, unfortunately it’s returned again on another part of her body. I am going to explain your story, and pass this information on to her. So thank you very much for sharing this with us.

          Many, many years ago, there was a doctor who treated young people and they all had been dx’d with cancer of varying kinds. chemo, rad and surgery had failed.

          all had become cancer free under his “treatment.’ His treatment was: imagine the cancer is a head of lettuce and that tiny rabbits are eating it. Concentrate on the “lettuce” and direct your t-cells, b-cells, macrophages, to eat the tumor. If I recall correctly, he had about 20 patients with him at the time and they all confirmed that they no longer had cancers.

          I had a bad tooth infection…ialso n my sinuses, and couldn’t see the dentist right away. when we were talking in his office afterward, he told me, “The body has an amazing capacity to heal itself.”
          He is right. And a good diet as E.T. recommends will help a lot.(

          On a personal note: about 20 years ago, I had to see an oncologist due to a dx from another doctor. I have what is called mgus (said “mug us”) which is something that can develop into a blood cancer. The longer I live, the more likely it is to become cancer with a short life-span afterward.

          I refuse to live as though that will happen and if it does, then lettuce and rabbits and a whole lot of prayer will be my weapons against it.
          Tell your friend to keep a positive attitude. Cancer can be beaten.

        • Somehistory, I’d not heard of this condition mgus before, but I did have a quick look at it and as it’s usually benign, I’m sure you’ll be okay especially if you’re sticking to a healthy diet.
          Unfortunately there are still so many people that just don’t realize how important a healthy lifestyle and a proper diet is. I’ve never been overweight but when I was in my mid twenties I did start to put a few pounds on, so I decided to go on a diet. I cut right down on the carbs and started to eat plenty of salads and fresh fruit. In no time at all I felt better in myself and was back to the weight I wanted. So I decided to stick to my new found diet and that’s when the complements started coming my way. I don’t mean to sound arrogant here, but all of a sudden people started to tell me such things as how well I looked, how my hair had a sheen to it, I instantly knew what the reason was for this, it was the food that I ate. I’m older now so obviously I don’t get the same complements, that’s unless I go to the dentist. The dentists are always telling me how healthy and pink my gums are and what a good job I’m doing of cleaning my teeth. I know the real reason for this, it’s the food that I eat, and that’s the reason I’ve not had a filling for decades.
          However I know my diet isn’t perfect as I do enjoy a few beers, I’m not a drunkard but I do like to chill out from time to time, but never during daylight hours.
