Ilhan Omar’s notorious “Islamophobia” bill doesn’t ever get around to defining what “Islamophobia” actually is, and there is a reason for that: the word is used not just to refer to vigilante attacks against innocent Muslims, which are never justified, but to any and all criticism of Islam, including honest discussion of the motives and goals of jihad terrorists. The insidious aspect of her bill is that it could be used to shut down such discussion and leave us unable to speak publicly about a real threat. An indication of how this can happen has just come from last month’s Sundance Film Festival, which featured a documentary about jihadis getting rehabilitated and has had two staffers resign so far over its unpardonable “Islamophobia.”
The film, which The Wrap called a “hot-button documentary,” is called Jihad Rehab. The 2022 Sundance program says that it “film focuses on several men — detained in Guantanamo for years without charge by the United States — after they are placed in what’s billed as the world’s first rehabilitation center for extremists.” The reminder that they were “detained without charge,” with no mention of 9/11 or the global jihad, is the first tipoff that this is not exactly a “right-wing” presentation, which is how it got to Sundance in the first place. But that didn’t stop it from running afoul of the Thought Police.
The film description continues: “There, they undergo the center’s ‘deradicalization’ program, which includes therapy sessions and life skills classes, before they are permitted to be released into an unfamiliar society where they will face new challenges.” Director Meg Smaker explained that the whole idea was to make the audience sympathetic to these Guantanamo terrorists: “What we intended in the film was that these three guys’ personal journeys are going to challenge audiences’ stereotypes about who these men actually are. Hopefully it takes away the simplistic stereotyping and gives their lives value that they haven’t seemed to have before in our national narrative.”
Smaker added: “The film was crafted so that it’s not just a journey for these men. It was intended as a journey for the audiences who see it.” A journey to Leftism and anti-Americanism: “I knew that the alt-right in the U.S. were probably going to come after us, and I’m sure they still will.” She explained that the “horror” of Guantanamo was “essentially what the film is about.” The film uses the word “terrorist” of its subjects, but only in order to “invert its meaning.”

Meg Smaker has made a series of illogical excursions because she has no idea about Islam’s canonical teachings. She is shallow, superficial and unstudied. This examination of a problem never goes to the roots. She more or less admits she is making a propaganda film … Leni Riefenstahl also made pure propaganda films and later grew a conscience to regret it.
I doubt Meg Smaker will ever delve into Islam, because she is an obscurantist. Islam is obscurantism.
What Leftist-Globalists like Meg Smaker do not suspect is that Muslims DO NOT WANT OUR FRIENDSHIP or the friendship of Lefitst like Smaker. They hate all non-Muslim kafirs ‘for the sake of Allah’.
Without understanding the basic MOTIVE of Islam (hatred of the kafir) Leftists like Smaker will always get anything about Islam WRONG.

Mortimer, Meg Smaker is sympathetic to Jihadists. I doubt that she *wants* to know more about Islam.
As for Leni Riefenstahl, she never actually apologized for creating Nazi propaganda, basically saying that her work was separate from politics. And she had plenty of time to reconsider–she did not die until 2003 at the age of 101.

The New York Times article says, ‘Whether out of vanity or naïveté, Ms. Riefenstahl may well have believed that her artistic independence was never compromised, that she did not “sell” her talents to the Nazis.”
Years ago, I saw Riefenstahl in a documentary that was somewhat sympathetic, but I can now agree with you: Riefenstahl was perhaps not a Nazi but merely a narcissist living in her own artistic dream world. Her intentions were pure or so she thought. She only regretted meeting Hitler. Contact with Hitler compromised the ‘purety’ of her art, we are to believe. That is what she regretted. A nice point that most people will be appalled by. Thanks again for your accurate observation.

Today’s lesson is about the true meaning of ‘Islamophobia’. It isn’t what you think or what they say. It’s downright confusing when people are NOT stating their real motive up front, isn’t it? They’re kind of lying to us when they say ‘Islamophobia’. Every time.
Well, here goes. ‘Islamophobia’ has nothing to do with phobia or disliking Islam. You see, it’s actually just a way to stop non-Muslims saying ANYTHING AT ALL about Islam. It’s a program to make sure that the only people who talk about Islam will be MULLAHS, who are trained in all the tricks and TAQIYYA that defend the HONOR, IMAGE and PRESTIGE of Islam. They and only they know how to swing it and sometimes, they swing the old, farm-fresh TAQIYYA pretty good. Their plan is to make everyone LIKE ISLAM … which is something a reasonable person could never do.
You see, kids, if you tell things about Islam that bring the least bit of embarrassment to Muslims, then it doesn’t matter if those things are true or false. Truth, factuality, accuracy or honesty are NOT ISSUES.
You want to know the real ISSUE behind ISLAMOPHOBIA? Well, here it is. The ISSUE they’re hiding behind ISLAMOPHOBIA is the issue of HONOR! Yes. ‘HONOR’, at least what they call honor.
Islam is an HONOR/SHAME CULTURE and Muslims value HONOR MORE THAN THEY VALUE TRUTH, ACCURACY or FACTUALITY or HONESTY … or life itself! Yes.
They would rather you tell an outright LIE about Islam, if it makes Islam sound good, rather than an ACCURATE TRUTH that brings SHAME to Islam. That’s it in a nutshell.

Don’t even mention the word JIHAD! Muslims HATE THAT WORD when a KAFIR says it. It means the jig is up for Islam. The world ‘JIHAD’ means the Muslims are not tricking the kafirs. When the kafirs say ‘Jihad’ it means the core teaching of Islam is being held up in public! They don’t want jihad held up. They want it to remain HIDDEN. It’s as simple as that.
So never mention any of the problems in Islam … problems like JIHAD, WOMEN’S RIGHTS, INEQUALITY, CENSORSHIP, CRUEL PUNISHMENTS, CALIPHATE DICTATORSHIP, DISCRIMINATORY LEGAL CODE of SHARIA, GENOCIDES of 270 million NON-MUSLIMS … all that is ‘ISLAMOPHOBIA’. Even though it’s all 100% true, authentic, historical, factual, and accurate.
Just keep shovelling the pungent, hot-steaming, farm-fresh TAQIYYA and keep the Muslims smiling. Muslims won’t give you any problems if you tell flattering falsehoods about Islam or if you say NOTHING AT ALL and keep your trap shut about Islam so they can do all the talking.
It’s just that simple, kids.

This teaching pinpoints the HONOR/SHAME-CULTURE of Islam as the real MEANING of Islamophobia … this is practically unknown, because few have read the actual words of Sharia law in Reliance of the Traveller’ Chapter ‘O’ 11.10.05:
“The (DHIMMI) agreement is also violated if the state has stipulated that any of the following things break it, and one of the subjects does so anyway, though if the state has not stipulated that these break the agreement, then they do not; namely, if one of the subject people:
-5- mentions something IMPERMISSIBLE about Allah, the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), or Islam.”
This RoT passage doesn’t even MENTION ‘blasphemy’ … it is worded so general, that it includes EVERYTHING a kafir might possibly say about Islam. In effect, the kafir is not even allowed to speak about Islam whether positively or critically. This preserves Islam’s ‘honor’. A dhimmi should sit down and shut up.
Meg Smaker is making propaganda, so she can make friends for Muslims. She doesn’t even understand that MUSLIMS DO NOT WANT OUR FRIENDSHIP. They are happy WITHOUT our friendship. Muslims want our COMPLIANCE … personal relationships with the dirty KUFAAR are all HARAM.
Muslims don’t want Meg Smaker’s help because she is not promoting the ‘HONOR’ of Islam … she is suggesting that something is WRONG with JIHAD.
The whole matter is COMPLEX, because ‘Islamophobia’ is a complex package of logical errors covered by a mask, and even Islam experts are not getting the aspect of HONOR CULTURE … which I believe is the KEY to understanding the ‘Islamophobia’ smear campaign.

The term ‘innocent Muslim’ is an oxymoron, it isn’t possible to be both Muslim and innocent at the same time because the Islamic doctrine directs a host of laws be transgressed, accordingly any Muslim older than about 3 years living in a Western country is guaranteed to have participated or assisted in breaking criminal, social and human rights laws and thus can’t be assumed to be ‘innocent’.
Actually, the word Muslim and criminal should convey a similar meaning because to profess to being a Muslim is an admission of participating in criminal activities.
Stop with the ‘innocent Muslim’ junk, there isn’t any such thing.

addendum: about 15% of Muslims self-declare as supporters of a terrorist group. Less than 1% of Muslims are actual jihadists. Most Muslims in the West are well-educated, have good jobs and want to send their children to college, NOT to jihad.
Muslims in the West are giving lip service to Islam while behaving as kafirs the rest of the time. They don’t actually want to act like Mohammed, because they already see he is not a decent or good role model.

With those surveys it depends how truthful the respondents are so there could be a margin of error involved. Yes it looks like Islam is on the decline internally but it really hinges on how much the parents in the West decide to brainwash their children or are aware of how much brainwashing they are receiving at the Islamic primary schools they often send their children too. If the children get a severe dose of Islam it could perpetuate the problem for yet another generation.

Of course it’s the ideology but there’s more, there was a test conducted about the ability of people to follow orders even if it were orders to harm others, it was very revealing.
People can cause harm to others just by following orders and they weren’t suffering delusions of racial superiority or any noticeable religious dementia as contributing factors, possibly there was fear for themselves maybe, like a suspicion of what would happen to them if they didn’t do as ordered.
