They do what they do because of Islamic teachings, as they make clear whenever they explain their actions. Those who insist that they are not Muslims should go to Nigeria and explain to them the true Islam.

The Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), formerly known as Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād, has claimed that its fighters killed 10 people including Nigerian soldiers and children during an attack on Buni Yadi community, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.
SaharaReporters had reported that the insurgents on Sunday engaged troops of the Nigerian Army in the community in a gun battle.
Sources said the gunmen invaded the community around 5pm shooting sporadically as residents fled into the forest for safety.
Buni Yadi came into the limelight in 2014 after Boko Haram insurgents killed 58 male students of the town’s Federal Government College.
ISWAP in a notice seen by SaharaReporters on Monday said “10 people were killed including soldiers and children during the attack.”
The terror group added that it razed many military operational vehicles….
The terror group has caused over 50,000 deaths and displaced millions of individuals mainly in Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe states.

The previous name of ISWAP was Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād … meaning the ‘Gathereing of the People of the Sunna for Dawah (proselytism) and Jihad’.
We see from their name that they consider themselves strict followers of Mohammed’s authentic traditions and that their purpose is to convert people to Islam BY FORCE.
Conversion and FORCE go hand in hand in their thinking.
A suitable motto for this group would be one word from Koran 8.60 ‘TURHIBUNNA’ (terrorize them).

Yes–pretending that non-Muslims are waging Jihad in the name of Islam is just absurd–yet I’ve seen apologists here try to make that ludicrous argument.

A couple of good snipers a safe distance away could eliminate this threat. If done regularly could slow this jihad.

After reading 177 pages of the Nigerian Constitution, which allows federal and local “Shariah Appeal Courts” to handle all “personal” legal matters of Muslims, the conclusion is that Nigeria has already sold itself to Islam.
“Appeal” does not mean another court to consider a former conviction, it is part of the name of all Nigerian Courts.

Grimly true–Shari’ah law has already been imposed thoughout much of the north of Nigeria–almosty half the country is in this state. Here is a map:
