“Far right” generally means “anyone who is opposed to the Leftist elites.” In this case, the “far-right” were opposed to mass migration into Ireland. 30 candidates allegedly espoused this supposed “far right” position, and yet performed dismally, which doesn’t appear to suggest that Ireland has a huge problem with the “far right.” But any opposition, no matter how small, to the Left’s agenda of internationalism and mass Muslim migration into the West must be vilified, smeared, and destroyed. The State must take immediate action to address the “growing threat” from the far right in Ireland, according to a European report on Islamophobia.
The report highlights the linkages between prominent far-right activists in Ireland and counterparts in Europe.
The chapter on Ireland in the European Islamophobia Report was written by James Carr, a lecturer in the Department of Sociology at University of Limerick and author on the subject.
The chapter criticised the lack of data in Ireland on Islamophobia but did cite figures of “otherwise unavailable official data” released by Irish authorities via the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) ‘Hate Crime Reporting Database’.
It said these figures indicate there were nine reports of crimes with a “bias against Muslims” in 2019, while non-official figures published in the database showed there were 23 anti-Muslim crimes.
It said the reporting of data in Ireland needed to improve and that trust “must be built” with Muslim communities by State institutions to encourage reporting and assure people the reports will be taken seriously.
The report estimates that 30 candidates in the last general election, in February 2020, espoused “far-right positions”, including an anti-immigration stance.
These parties included candidates from the National Party and the Irish Freedom Party, with the latter running people in 21 locations.
The report noted they all “performed dismally”, receiving no more than 2% in any of the constituencies….

That’s really terrible. Some of my ancestors lived in Ireland and I have the coloring of those who called Ireland their birthplace.
I’ve watched people like Rick Steves film from there and listened to the native people speak and sing and learned about their favorite foods, etc. To see…from a distance, sure…that all of this is being destroyed, and this is on purpose, is sickening.

If there is a growth in criticism of Islam and hatred of islam, which is what certain people call islamophobia, then I would say that it merely indicates that more people are finally waking up to the vile nature of islam. All the endless terrorist attacks by Muslims, all the Muslim rape gangs, etc, have finally woken up more of the slow learners in our societies, and about bloody time. To me, it is complete bullshit to say that any increase in Islamophobia is because of far right people. It is about the average citizen finally waking up to islam’s rotten nature. This term Islamophobia is meant to shame people into staying silent about the evils of Islam. The more Islamophobia the better because, if any ideology deserves to be hated and criticised continually, it is Islam.

I agree with you that our mighty Western Civilisation, which has achieved so much, is under fire and the willpower just doesn’t seem to be there from most people in our western societies to resist. I hope there will be a turn around and people wake up and learn to value our way of life instead of seemingly always apologising for it and being ashamed of it. The left wing educators have marched through the institutions and have poisoned the minds of students (much of the media have done the same) and told them that our western nations have done appalling things and nothing good,etc, and so many people have been indoctrinated to have a negative attitude towards our societies and probably won’t fight to preserve our decent way of life. I live outside a city in Ireland and can say that on Fridays it’s like being in a Muslim majority country, And this is happening all over Ireland. Very few people are talking about the high level of anti-semitism going through Irish society and especially anti-Isreal sentiment.
