There is big money in the business of settling refugees. Never mind the fact that jihadists and a range of criminals are coming to America unvetted. Robert Spencer wrote about the astronomical size of it HERE.
It is easy for refugee resettlement advocates to find the right, tender words while laughing all the way to the bank, but it isn’t a pretty picture: hardworking Americans donate their money in trust, while their children’s future security diminishes year after year.
We are privileged to be part of Operation Allies Welcome, the federal effort to resettle 83,000 Afghans.
Unvetted Afghans, that is, and generally not Christians. In Afghanistan, the most needy are Christians who are in hiding with no way to escape. According to Open Doors USA, Afghanistan is the number one worst place in the world for Christians to live.
Across the globe, Open Doors found that there has been a 24% increase in Christians killed because of their faith. The West is regarded as a haven for Christians, but it hasn’t proven to be such in the last few years. Unvetted Muslim migration has proven to be a disastrous project for the EU, bringing with it escalating violent crimes, threats of jihad, Muslim rape gang activity, no-go zones, Sharia patrols and the like.
Jihad Watch reported recently about a record-breaking 360 million Christians persecuted in 2021, and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, often called racist for guarding his borders, is among the very few who speak out.
So how are the “big-hearted” Catholic Charities and the US Conference of Catholic Bishops helping the world’s most needy: Christians? They aren’t.

Over 47 years, Catholic Charities has resettled more than 14,000 refugees from 60 countries into western North Carolina. It is our deep commitment to comfort and serve those we resettle.
In their first 90 days, we provide services to welcome and acclimate refugees to American culture and navigate our complex systems of healthcare, employment, housing, even grocery shopping.
We are privileged to be part of Operation Allies Welcome, the federal effort to resettle 83,000 Afghans. Although the sudden U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan meant our evacuees arrived in less than three months, not six as anticipated, we responded quickly by adding staff, working overtime, and collaborating with volunteers and partners.
Unfortunately, with so little affordable housing available, we were forced for the first time to place our clients in hotels as we search for permanent housing. We use suite-style hotels to help them feel at home, but the temporary nature understandably prolongs an unsettling transitory phase…

Meanwhile, they ignore needy Christians. Re-settling Muslims in American states is not charity … it is colonization. Islam is not benign towards Christians.

There are thousands if not millions of Christians in Moslem lands that face daily terror attacks, kidnapping ,rape, thief of land, and being murdered in the jihad performed on them by Moslems that is where Christian charities should spend its monies on. If Moslems refugees need to be resettled let Moslem charities spend and resettle them in Moslem majority lands. It seems most Moslem “charity ” groups are concerning themselves with trying to convert non-Moslem to Islam or help fund terrorist organizations ,or try to buy influence in western government officials with their money or threats of bad press on them calling them or anyone who speaks the truth on Islam a racist..

There are a few million Copts in Egypt and I guess a million Xians in Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Israel, Lebanon.
The best defenders of Christians aside from Israel, were Assad and Saddam.

The Federal government pays large grants to agencies for “re-settling” new arrivals. Craftily they choose religious organisations to do this for them, for it gives the process a worthy charitable appearance. The cash-strapped Roman Catholic Church is eager to participate. The funds cover the first six months of living, after which it is the local authority that picks up the tab. Either way the taxpayer foots the bill.
The choice of the title “Refugee Resettlement” is telling. It closes the options. In former times there were Refugee Assistance and Refugee Aid, both of which leave open the option of the refugees’ return to their homeland when the war is over. Not so with Resettlement. This seems to be part of the Great Replacement.

Seems that ever increasingly the Catholic Church has become an enemy of the preservation of Western Civilization. The Catholic Church has gone into foolish gooey mode whereby Islam is exculpated, man-made climate change is considered more of a dire threat than the slaughter of Christians by Muslims and capitalism is somehow looked upon as a negative—border walls too except at the Vatican.
In brief, the Catholic Church as exampled by the present Pope, Catholic Charities, US Conference of Catholic Bishops, et al. has pretty much become a stupid disgrace. I take no pleasure in stating this.

I have never respected Catholic Charities, since they seem to have a sanctimonious view about immigrants (particularly Catholic ones) vis a vis immigration law. Of course, now they’re going from that to beyond stupid, by wanting to service Afghan migrants as well. Maybe their board members should get into the trenches, instead of their volunteers, and find out how it is when those Afghan men start wanting to hump them

I have to wonder, GreekEmpress, if the rancid fool who is Pope Francis has, in sheer numbers, driven more people away from the Catholic Church than did Luther, Calvin and Zwingli combined. Yes, far more people now than half a millennium ago but still I pose this “matter.” Sometimes, you know, quantity counts.
As bad as the silly John XXIII was, trying to fix something that wasn’t broken in calling Vatican II, Francis is quite arguably far, far worse. I do have to wonder how many people have actually left the Catholic Church by now because of Francis or, at least, remain on the fence about leaving said church. And there is another factor too here, yet a further negative one, and that is all those who remain in the Catholic Church and think Francis terrific. They too serve as an enormous problem. Big time. For instance, that pathetic group of men known as the US Conference of Catholic Bishops.
The old Catholic Church is gone for a plethora of reasons, none of them good, and it’s never coming back. Never. What a waste and dispositive of just how far Western Civilization has fallen in not much more than half a century and proving again how fragile and ephemeral civilization truly is in the final analysis.

This paragraph says a heck of a lot. They should change the name of their “charities” because to leave it as Catholic, is misleading to others…infidels…who may have called in order to get some help and were told they have to be Catholic to get it. One only needs to be mozlum to get help from Catholic Charities.

Because there is no Christian values left in Catholic… nor are there any human values left because they have deviated so much from the Truth. For them anything tinged with Satan’s globalization, multiculturism is more welcome than following Christ. The word Catholic is not in the bible and I wonder when they dropped Christ or Christian from the name of the church. Imam pope John is doing a wonderful bidding for Satan.

I was thinking about *why* they are doing this,…money coming from the feds is why…at least it’s a big part of why.
It’s much like couples who sign up to foster kids…for the money. These people don’t give a care for the kids or their needs…it’s all for the money they’ll get each month. (And, of course, there are couples who do “care” and do it for love, not money.)
These “charities” don’t get money for taking care of their *own* in the U.S. or in foreign countries. But, the bucks are large for taking in these afghans and their terror ties.

And some of these charities consider Muslims to be just more “needy refugees” who understand nothing about Islam.

As for the “charities, “I don’t believe for one second that if the feds were not offering money for them to *resettle* these mozlums, that they would be so quick to volunteer to help them with places to live, food, etc.

I worked as a temp for a while for Catholic Charities in San Francisco in the 1990s–most of those being helped were Hispanic and South East Asians–Vietnamese, Cambodians, Laotians. Some were Christian, some not–but all were grateful and most went on to become good citizens. Muslims? Not so much…
