It April last year, it emerged that Canada’s Supreme Court wouldn’t hear a challenge to Quebec’s secularism law (Bill C-21), which restricts religious symbols at work. In 2019, Quebec Premier François Legault “shrugged off” complaints that the anti-religious symbols law encouraged “Islamophobia,” and he was right to do so. At that time, the National Council of Canadian Muslims (formerly CAIR-CAN, an offshoot of CAIR) vowed to continue the fight in court. They are living up to this promise, with help from CAIR.
CAIR “offered the American Muslim community’s support” for the Muslim teacher in Canada who was removed from her classroom for wearing the hijab. The NCCM is also “gathering signatures on a petition to have Prime Minister Justin Trudeau intervene.” The NCCM and the Trudeau government collaborate together against “Islamophobia.”
According to a Leger poll, “anti-islam sentiment” was the main reason behind support for the Quebec secularism bill, but no one is simply “anti-Islam.” They are anti-Islamic supremacist, that is, against the political, supremacist, aggressive, and violent aspects of Islam, but not against all Muslim individuals, some of whom reject this political system. Considering what Islam teaches and what the NCCM, helped to formulate as a definition of “Islamophobia” at Canada’s largest district school board, the Toronto District School Board, it is no wonder that suspicion arises; the bill is unfair in its current form to all people of faith. The definition of “Islamophobia” that the NCCM helped formulate labeled “fear, prejudice, hatred or dislike directed against Islam or Muslims, or towards Islamic politics or culture” as “Islamophobia.”
While Christians and Jews bemoan the eradication of their religious symbols under Bill C-21, no one has been noisier about this than Islamic lobbies.
Should the court eventually declare Bill 21 a violation of constitutional rights and freedoms, then specifically niqabs and burqas (which are very different from the hijab) should be banned on security grounds, as they should have been in the first place, instead of having all religious symbols banned. In addition, full female coverings are a violation of the principle of equal rights and freedoms under the law, since under the Sharia, women have inferior status. They are commanded to wear full coverings or risk being abused (Quran 24:31, 33:59).

That grade 3 teacher, Fatemeh Anvari, was told she would no longer be allowed to teach at Chelsea Elementary School because of Bill 21, Quebec’s law that bans the wearing of religious symbols by certain government employees in positions of authority while at work. The controversial bill is widely regarded as targeting Muslim women.
In a statement, CAIR National Deputy Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell said:

The National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) said Monday that it is gathering signatures on a petition to have Prime Minister Justin Trudeau intervene after a Muslim teacher in Quebec province was removed for wearing a hijab in the classroom.
Quebec’s Bill 21, passed in 2019, outlaws the wearing of religious symbols — the hijab, kippah, turban and cross — by most public servants while on the job.
The NCCM along with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association is fighting to have the bill nullified by the courts because it violates fundamental human rights. The NCCM also said the bill unfairly targets Muslim women.
The battle over the bill intensified after the teacher was removed last week. Mustafa Farooq, NCCM’s chief executive officer, said in a statement to Anadolu Agency that Fatemeh Anvari is “a brave Quebec Muslim woman who was removed from her position as a teacher because she had the courage to wear her hijab to school.”
“The disgraceful truth is she is not the first, nor will she be the last — as long as Bill 21 is in place.”
The court battle has shifted to the Quebec Court of Appeal in the fight to have this “heinous law” struck down, Farooq said.
While Trudeau is on record as saying the province has no business telling people what to wear, the NCCM wants him to act more forcefully and is now calling on people to put their signatures on a petition to aid the fight to get the government and members of parliament (MPs) on their side.

Bill 21–passed two years ago–prohibits all persons in positions of authority from wearing religious symbols on the job.
She cleverly claims hijab (which she calls “her article of clothing”) is for identity, resistance, and resilience which “empowers” her: not a religious symbol. No doubt in my mind the school board hired her–knowing that would violate the law–to make a political point.

You’re likely aware of the “Fight Bill 21 – Ottawa City Council Must Stand Up for Religious Freedom in Canada” petition (linked) also on FB that was created by a local resident calling on you to pass a resolution to join the fight against ‘so-called’ Quebec’s discriminatory Bill 21.
The creator expects you to emulate Toronto, Brampton, Calgary, Winnipeg, and possibly others at all political levels in their dhimmitude to politically, legally, and financially challenge Quebec secular laws.
First of all, it’s a known fact in Islam that the veil has nothing to do with religion. However, what another great opportunity for Islamists to advance their Jihad using naive and cowardly politicians as ’useful idiots’ again! One wonders how many bribes Mayor Brown has been collecting to cooperate with such efforts to conspire for the Islamization of our institutions, this time as a public leading mouthpiece in this hypocritical campaign! Brown should be more concerned about his personal malfeasances in his own yard!
The current controversy which features a veiled teacher suspended in Chelsea should remind us that Islamists are specialists at provocation, e.g. M-101, Islamophobia propaganda, any other destructive activities infinitely. They use the language of minority rights to impose their agenda. They advance their farcical claims while seeking to victimize themselves; rights and claims they won’t afford anyone else. Odious hypocrisy and disrespect!

In the case of this teacher, how can we not understand that we are faced with another planned communication coup! The substitute teacher was hired after the adoption of Bill 21. She therefore openly defies Quebec laws, with the complicity of her employer, who is ideologically aligned with multiculturalism. She excludes herself and wants to be seen as a great persecuted person. Militant Islam and Wokism go hand in hand.
We are obviously talking about young Muslims, often more radical than their parents, and who do not hide, when we ask them, and even when we do not ask them, their little love for Canada, and often even their aversion. No wonder. For decades, our education systems among others have been poisoned by radical ideologies at the expense of depleting academic studies.
In fact, La Presse reported this teacher’s words about the veil, “It is important for me to continue to wear it, because I know that certain ideologies do not want me to wear it. This is my resistance, and my resilience.” No compromise… no turning back… ever, essentially.
At least, it’s clear. We can no longer afford to submit to such ploys.
So, Council Members, let’s not get trapped in this evil propaganda assaulting our natural values and may God enlighten those malefactors who just don’t get it!

Well it’s never a good idea to break a law when you know there is a law and you are aware of the consequences. Unless one has the best of reasons for breaking a law.
Since she claims it isn’t “religious”….and she says this as a way of skirting obedience…then she has no real reason to wear it. If it isn’t religious for her, then she is not being deprived of her “rights” to practice.
