One would think that controlling the presidency, the Senate, and the House would make Leftists happy, but an article published Monday in The Atlantic and amplified Sunday on MSNBC shows that despite all their electoral success, they’re more mendacious, hateful, and paranoid than ever.
Ever since Old Joe Biden started pretending to be president of the United States, the Left has been working assiduously to demonize and destroy all opposition to his agenda and to portray Donald Trump and his supporters as enemies of democracy, of freedom, and of all that is good. First, there was the Jan. 6 “insurrection.” No one was killed except a Trump supporter and Trump himself called for peaceful protest, but in the Left’s febrile propaganda, this has become a more serious threat than anything since the British burned down the White House during the War of 1812.
Then there is the ongoing demonization of Trump supporters as “white supremacists” and Biden’s handlers’ repeated insistence, despite a complete lack of supporting evidence, that “white supremacists” constitute the greatest terror threat the nation faces today. And now comes The Atlantic portraying Trump’s supporters as ready to destroy our free society at a word from their master, with MSNBC gleefully echoing this nonsense.
The Atlantic’s farrago of half-truths, lies, and propaganda was called “Trump’s Next Coup Has Already Begun,” and it builds an incredible castle of sand upon the Left’s Jan. 6 mythology. “If the plot succeeds,” The Atlantic’s Barton Gellman wrote breathlessly, “the ballots cast by American voters will not decide the presidency in 2024. Thousands of votes will be thrown away, or millions, to produce the required effect. The winner will be declared the loser. The loser will be certified president-elect. The prospect of this democratic collapse is not remote. People with the motive to make it happen are manufacturing the means. Given the opportunity, they will act. They are acting already.”
Now there are plenty of Republicans who believe that the Democrats are plotting to do exactly that, but as far as Gellman is concerned, that’s exactly the problem: he claims that in their belief that Leftists are destroying democracy, conservatives will destroy democracy and that the leader of this nefarious endeavor is (who else?) none other than Donald J. Trump. Gellman quotes Richard L. Hasen, a professor of law and political science at UC Irvine: “The democratic emergency is already here. We face a serious risk that American democracy as we know it will come to an end in 2024, but urgent action is not happening.”

While I don’t know a single person who would “take up arms” on behalf of Trump, they are, and should be worried that there are tens of millions who will fight to defend the Constitution and our way of life.
They have been trying to setup this story line since the day Trump won in 2017. Any dissent from the leftist/globalist agenda was to be labeled as a “threat to democracy” or cult like dedication to Donald Trump. This is how they plan to subvert our Constitution and our Republic, by claiming that dedication to these ideals are actually dangerous white supremacist cult members.
The funny thing is that when you look at the tenets of leftist or globalism they look very similar to a cult, and more specifically, a doomsday cult.
They have their own subset of language, they all recite and chant the same slogans, they will ignore reality and science when in conflicts with their beliefs (transgenderism, covid lockdowns, forced vaccinations), there is a high penalty for going against the groupthink, and they insist we must follow their instructions in order to avoid an apocalypse caused by “climate change”. Their “leaders” (think Biden, Fauchi, Pelosi) simply cannot be wrong. They censor any information that conflicts with their dogma, and the biggest one is the belief that the end justifies the means. Most leftists would be perfectly happy if 1 billion humans died if it meant they could better carry out their insane agenda.

My former county in California (conservative since forever) is being nudged towards democrats and it is not because of illegals from south of the border. It is incoming Asians that have done that. Many of them have relocated there in the wake of the LA riots of the 20th century. But now, Asians are under attack by the very same democrats that they moved away from but still vote for. I have no sympathy for them.

When you say Asians, how do you split them? Chinese are usually pro Democrat, Vietnamese are heavily pro GOP and Indians are split down the middle. Dunno about South Koreans. So which Asians are the ones that have made a formerly GOP district communist?

I don’t split them but if I did I would split them along ideological lines before ethnicity.. I believe it is a combination of Asian ethnicities involved. I knew a guy that immigrated from Vietnam in the early 90s and he votes democrat even though the democrats there tried hard to keep the Vietnamese out. You are right, the post Vietnam war Vietnamese refugees are more conservative. I have found that Asians do well scholarly but when it comes to political choices in America some of them make a lot of mistakes. Asians don’t seem to embrace the looniness of the democrat party so why do they vote for democrats? I believe that many of them are easily misled by crafty misleading America politicians.
The county has always been White with a good amount of Hispanics but it still remained conservative. You really couldn’t tell the difference between the two. We were all Americans first. There has also always been a significant number of Japanese living there and they weren’t new comers. I don’t add Indians to that Asian mix. I think of Indians as a group unto themselves even though India is in Asia. I do know that the Chinese population has grown and it brought some things with it that really don’t fit in with the county. The problem is Asians left the chaos of LA for my county but didn’t change their voting habits. I really didn’t like the fact that it was I and others like me that had to move. There was always a major difference between my county and LA county. Stuff that people in my county preferred to avoid.
