Anyway, AP refers to Farhia Hassan as a “Dutch woman,” indifferent to the likelihood that she doesn’t consider herself Dutch at all, and has nothing but contempt for Dutch cultures and mores. It is much more likely that Farhia Hassan considers herself a citizen of the global umma. But AP will never tell you that.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) – A Dutch woman charged seven years ago with raising money for the Somali terrorist group al-Shabab has been extradited to the U.S. to face trial.
Farhia Hassan, 38, made an initial appearance Friday in U.S. District Court in Alexandria after being brought to the U.S. on Thursday on charges of conspiring to provide material support to a terrorist organization. She was ordered held pending her next hearing.
Prosecutors say Hassan helped raise money by telling donors it would fund schools and orphans when it was actually going to terrorists. The indictment alleges that al-Shabab cells in Nairobi, Kenya, and Hargeisa, Somalia received payments over a period from 2011 through 2014….
While Hassan was in the Netherlands fighting extradition over the last seven years, her lawyers in the U.S. were working to get the charges against her tossed out. The defense lawyers argued that the U.S. lacked jurisdiction to charge a Dutch woman with giving money to a Somali terrorist group. And they said the long delays in bringing her to trial amounted to a denial of her speedy trial rights.
But Judge Anthony Trenga ruled last year that the case could move forward. He said that several of Hassan’s co-conspirators were based in the U.S., and that the U.S. has a legitimate interest in prosecuting supporters of a group designated as a terrorist organization.
He also ruled that Hassan’s own efforts to fight extradition were responsible for the trial delays. Hassan’s lawyer Jessica Carmichael declined comment after Friday’s hearing.
Two of Hassan’s co-defendants, Muna Osman Jama of Reston, Virginia, and Hinda Osman Dhirane of Kent, Washington, were convicted back in 2016 and received prison sentences of 12 and 11 years, respectively.
At trial, defense lawyers argued that the amounts contributed by the women were negligible, amounting to a few thousand dollars in total from a group of about 15 women. They also said the money was intended to care for injured al-Shabab soldiers and that providing funds for medicine in an armed conflict cannot be considered a criminal act under international treaties.
The defense also raised First Amendment issues, saying their advocacy for al-Shabab should not be fodder for a criminal conviction.

Robert Spencer’s point is on target: This Somali supporter of al-Shabab surely doesn’t think of herself as ‘Dutch’. Most Muslims identify primarily with their own clan, and only after that with their tribe and race.
If Muslims have any Arab DNA at all (as the Somalis claim to have), then they consider Muslims of their own race (e.g. Africans) to be their racial inferiors.
Only after all those categories … and for political/legal reasons and with reluctance … would Farhia Hassan consider herself to be ‘Dutch’.

Muslims might be in America and, unfortunately, even have American citizenship (would say the same about a Marxist or Neo-Nazi) but you cannot adhere to an ideology which is inimical to basic American constitutional principles such as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, substantive and procedural due process, and equality under the law, which Islam surely is hostile to (ditto for Marxism and Nazism) and be a true American.
Technically and legally sometimes yes, but respecting what it means to be an American in spirit, hell no. Ditto for the Dutch—and so many others in Western nations because Islam and Western Civilization are completely incompatible and one knows this or should know it.

They knew what they were doing was wrong….shown by the fact that they didn’t tell donors the money would go to al shabab, but claiming it was for “orphans.” and “schools.”
Had they been up-front (honesty is something mozlums avoid like ti’s pork in disguise), people who recognize that al shabab is a mozlum terror group intent on killing as many infidels as possible and running many countries in Africa, would not likely have contributed…unless those donors are also mozlums.
And claiming the money was very much. it has to be asked…as h. clinton made the phrase infamous…’what difference does it make”?
A dime is a dime and pennies add up to dimes and dimes to dollars and dollars to large amounts, so saying it wasn’t very much money should make absolutely no difference.
It’s rather funny too when the lawyers for mozlum psychopaths try to use the First Amendment to say whatever they do, not just what they say, should be protected, but when the shoe is on the other foot, and people want to protest mozlums, their building of barracks, or their awful speech against Jews and Christians that take place week after week, then those non-mozlums lose that First Amendment protection and are accused of “hate speech” and “racism” and anti-mozlum descrimination.
It’s about time that the slime go behind bars for aiding terror. If these women had a hospital in somalia, kenya, etc. and injured terrorists went for treatment of their injuries and were treated as other patients, they might have a case for assisting without being punished by law, but they lied…committed fraud in accepting donations for “schools and orphans,” while actually giving it to terrorists… and they don’t have a hospital where patients **might** be terrorists.

I think that it is definitely correct that this Muslim would not consider herself to be Dutch. I think Muslims always identify as Muslims and work for islam to dominate the world. They seldom have any loyalty to any non-Muslim country or society at all, which is why they shouldn’t be allowed into non-Muslim countries. Muslims are bound to be all about undermining non-Muslim, civilised societies and imposing barbaric Islam on all of us. Quit often, I see advertisements for Muslim charities, aimed at the local Muslim community I guess, and I always think that some of that money, maybe most of it, is bound to be sent to support Muslim terrorist organisations. I’m sure that the Muslims who give money to these Muslim charities would know that that is the case and are happy to give to the charities anyway.

Farhia Hassan isn’t Dutch, any more than she is Virginian. She has just used the Netherlands and the Commonwealth of Virginia as bases from which to wage Jihad terror.
Glad she is being prosecuted here.
