Did the Democrats really think that they would be able to hide from the world the fact that the ostensible president of the United States is suffering from marked cognitive decline and often barely even coherent? Biden’s handlers certainly have gone to great pains to hide their Oval Office puppet’s condition, severely limiting his access to the press, giving him scripted answers to scripted questions when he does face the gaggle of sycophants known as the White House press corps, and ensuring that anyone who might actually dare to ask a genuine and pointed question is kept as far away from the so-called president as possible.
Even all that, however, is not enough. The Global Times, a Chinese Communist Party organ, on Wednesday published an extensive analysis of Biden’s position on Taiwan that came down to a simple principle: Old Joe is liable to say anything, so his words shouldn’t be taken seriously.
The latest confusion over Biden’s statements arose after his three-and-a-half-hour Zoom call on Monday with Xi Jinping, the president of the People’s Republic of China. The White House’s terse six-paragraph “Readout” of this marathon discussion made it clear that Biden was backing off from his Oct. 21 statement that the U.S. would defend Taiwan militarily if it was attacked by the People’s Republic. The “Readout” recorded Biden’s walk back in the tone of a student having to write “I will not talk in class” on the blackboard a hundred times: “On Taiwan,” it said, “President Biden underscored that the United States remains committed to the ‘one China’ policy, guided by the Taiwan Relations Act, the three Joint Communiques, and the Six Assurances, and that the United States strongly opposes unilateral efforts to change the status quo or undermine peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.”
In other words, the Taiwanese are on their own. That was that, except that Biden almost immediately muddied the waters again. The day after the Zoom call with Xi, Biden said: “We have made very clear we support the Taiwan Act, and that’s it. It’s independent. It makes its own decisions.”
The People’s Republic doesn’t consider Taiwan to be independent but regards it as a renegade province within their own domains. So Biden’s declaration that it was “independent” was seen as a significant policy statement. As the CCP’s Global Times put it, “Biden’s ambiguous statement on the Taiwan question triggered self-deceiving interpretations in the island that Washington may be sending pro-secession signals.” The alleged president complicated the situation even further when he attempted to clarify his earlier remarks by saying: “I said that they have to decide — Taiwan, not us. We are not encouraging independence.”

There are distinct parallels here with the Kyle Rittenhouse case….. closer examination of the high-definition drone footage withheld from the defence team reveals that – as in Aesop’s Fable – Beijing Biden has been given away by his unmistakable “asses ears” and has been instantly recognised by his masters for the imposter that he is….

Biden’s handlers may have dressed him in a Presidential “lion’s skin” to fool the weak and gullible, but his Chinese masters immediately recognised the cowardly ass they have fed and watered for so many years, and sent him packing.

Taiwan was the home-in-retreat of the Republic of China which was created by the Kuomintang Party.
TAIWAN WAS NEVER CONQUERED BY THE COMMUNISTS and so THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO CLAIM TAIWAN AS COMMUNIST TERRITORY.
If the CPC invades Taiwan, it is an act of aggressive war against an independent state.
The Kuomintang ( KMT ), also known as the Chinese Nationalist Party, is a political party in the Republic of China, initially on the Chinese mainland and in Taiwan after 1949. Originally the sole ruling party under the Dang Guo system, the KMT is currently the largest opposition party in the Legislative Yuan.
The government of Taiwan still claims to be the only legitimate government of all Chinese.

The people of Taiwan also have a say in all of this. They’re sick of pretending to be the ‘real China’, and have voted emphatically in 2 successive elections for a party that promised to make Taiwan Taiwan i.e. it would no longer claim to be the Republic of China. China has an issue w/ that as well, even though it would abolish the Republic of China for all practical purposes. They see Taiwan and China as one country, as does the KMT, which is why today’s KMT is not the KMT of Chiang Kai-Shek any more than today’s Dems being the Dems of JFK
Your last paragraph is false The government of Taiwan was perfectly happy to renounce its claims of being the government of all China, or indeed any China, but has not claimed it due to threats from Beijing. It certainly does not claim to be the government of all China

The Communist China government, after 3 hours with President Biden, now knows that a commitee, not so different from their own, is actually running the US government.
We can show some compassion for Biden. He didn’t choose to have old age failing abilities nor realized that he was being used as a trojan horse by his party.
People who voted for Biden thinking they were getting a calmer, safer, President are just discovering that he is now a reading machine who expresses the demands of a shadow government committee. The outward expression to the citizens has gone from, “We honor the Constitution”, to, “We are losing patience”, and the ordering of unconstitutional mandates that demand citizen compliance or lose their jobs.
“We’re from the government and we’re here to help you.”, has become, “We’re from the government and we’re here to fire you.”
With no functioning Executive in the Executive Branch of government, leadership has been replaced by the individual demands of the ad hoc committe members. We know how that worked out for Russia. A new strongman is created. Biden can’t last to the end of his term and Harris can’t laugh her way through a myriad of difficult decisions. Who will emerge as the “stongman”?
