Any sane person realizes that the Virginia gubernatorial election was in effect a referendum on the gallop toward socialism that Old Joe Biden and his handlers have taken the country on since Jan. 20 and knows that race-baiting and the repudiation of parental authority are not a winning formula. But when we’re talking about rational and reality-based assessments, that leaves out Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Trotsky), who has her own analysis of why the socialist, authoritarian Democrats crashed and burned in Virginia on Tuesday: they weren’t Leftist enough.
With a straight face, the erudite Congresswoman explained: “I know that Virginia was a huge bummer. And honestly, if anything, I think that the results show the limits of trying to run a fully 100% super-moderated campaign that does not excite, speak to, or energize a progressive base. And frankly, we weren’t even really invited to contribute on that race.”
Wait a minute. If McAuliffe didn’t “speak to or energize a progressive base,” it certainly wasn’t for want of trying. He called for teachers to be hired not on merit, but to satisfy the requirements of “diversity.” As parents in Virginia and elsewhere are rightfully outraged over Critical Race Theory and all of today’s fashionable sexual madness being taught in public schools, McAuliffe argued against a parental role in education and declared that only “experts,” not parents, should approve textbooks. McAuliffe claimed last Sunday that Youngkin was “ending his campaign on a racist dog whistle.” Meanwhile, his supporters worked hard to smear supporters of his opponent Glenn Youngkin as white supremacists.
Even as he conceded defeat, McAuliffe sounded what are standard contemporary Leftist talking points: “While last night we came up short, I am proud that we spent this campaign fighting for the values we so deeply believe in. We must protect Virginia’s great public schools and invest in our students. We must protect affordable health care coverage, raise the minimum wage faster and expand paid leave so working families have a fighting shot. We must protect voting rights, protect a woman’s right to choose, and, above all else, we must protect our democracy. While there will be setbacks along the way, I am confident that the long-term path of Virginia is toward inclusion, openness, and tolerance for all.”
The implication was clear: Virginia voted on Tuesday against “inclusion, openness, and tolerance for all,” as well as against “voting rights,” and “a woman’s right to choose,” and even against “our democracy.” Even his clichés were Leftist, as pious faux-concern about “our democracy,” and sometimes even “our sacred democracy,” has become a commonplace of Leftist rhetoric ever since Donald Trump first entered politics.

What you are trying to pinpoint is the ‘stupid wokism’ that even leading Dems are now condemning. They are condemning it now, because it is unbelievable to most Americans.
A so-called ‘trans-woman’ will never be a real woman. A little child knows it and it is morally wrong to try to brainwash children to believe mental illness is normative.

The Dem Party has adopted a thorough-going culture based on the sin of CALUMNY and they take great relish in committing this sin against their political opponents. Whomever they cannot refute in debate, they calumniate and they do so with moral abandon and vigor and unceasing repetitiveness.
Eventually, however, even slow-witted people see that a calumny is being committed. But the Dems are still playing on the race card even though voters rejected it in Virginia.
One of the things I have observed about calumny is the ADDICTIVE POWER of it. Even people who should know better, use it constantly as a drug. They need it every day. The Dem Party is as addicted to calumniating their opponents as heroin addicts are addicted to shooting up every day.

As Andrew Wilkow pointed out, socialism is for the pleebs, not for the socialists. The bulk of those parents in Fairfax and Loudoun county probably voted for Clinton and Biden in the last 2 elections, which is the only reason Virginia went blue. But the moment their own kids were taught CRT, they suddenly got less enthusiastic about the Dems, and probably either switched, or sat out the elections
I do think that the victory of Ed Duff in NJ, where he beat the longstanding Senate President Sweeney, was a watershed in NJ politics. Just like AOC represents the grassroots in terms of going from a bartender to a leading voice in the party, I’d like to see this truck operator rise to a similar profile in the GOP. It would be more like a JD Vance move. Incidentally, NJ’s election has still not been certified by the Secretary of State, and it’s not a given that mail-in votes will necessarily be for Murphy. I’d rather wait until that happens
I do hope the Dems lose 60 seats in the House next year, but that Kevin McCarthy is ousted by Jim Jordan. Also, in the Senate, I’m not holding much hope, given how mediocre McConnell has been, agreeing to back the watered down version of the infrastructure bill. I really think the Senate GOP should be led by Tom Cotton or Rand Paul

Here in Australia, on Sky News, this election result was seen as a clear rejection by the average, sensible citizens of the leftist agenda, particularly the poisonous critical race theory and other such bullshit that the lefties were trying to brainwash school children with. The commentators were saying it was a great result and that, here in Australia, it is time that the same attack was mounted on the same leftist bullshit in the schools out here. If this AOC thinks that the left needs to go further off to the left, then that’s great, because I’d say people are fed up with the left wingers’ lunacy and are waiting with baseball bats, or cricket bats out here, to smash the left and their idiotic, self loathing agenda. And it is about time. People have commented on that demented look in the photo. Just now I thought that her expression resembles that scene where Jack Nicholson looked so demented in a film, I think it might have been “The Shining”.
