Although the Islamic State was dismantled in Iraq and the Levant region, it dispersed and has proliferated elsewhere, particularly in Africa, where it is rapidly expanding via jihad, but also in Afghanistan. The Islamic State — known as ISIS-K (Khorasan Province, which covers parts of both Afghanistan and Pakistan) — has now expanded to the point that “no-go zones” now exist for the Taliban. This is ironic in light of the fact that the entire concept of violent ‘no-go-zones‘ has been repeatedly dismissed by Leftists in the West.
Although the Taliban has taken control of Afghanistan, “there are areas that are a no-go zone for them, especially Nangarhar province, which is an Islamic State- Khorasan (ISIS-K) stronghold.”
The rise of ISIS-K has many worried, including China. The East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) is the terror group that China fears the most. The group now has a golden opportunity to proliferate. Based in China’s Xinjiang province, the ETIM are former Uighur separatists who are seeking an independent Islamic state. Many of them have now joined ISIS-K.
The Islamic State managed to rake in over $1.2 billion per year during the height of its expansion in Iraq and the Levant. Although there is no accurate accounting of how much is left of that money today, the group’s loyalists and affiliates continue to expand and adapt, employing the same strategies of plunder and exploitation that it used in Iraq and Syria in Africa and Afghanistan.
Everywhere jihadists go to spread the Sharia, throughout 1400 years of Islamic history, the manifestations are the same: murder, terror, human rights abuses, the persecution of religious minorities and the oppression of women. And even murder of their fellow jihadists. But anyone who notes this fact in the Western world, now dominated by woke globalists, is deemed to be “Islamophobic.”

Chaparhar [Afghanistan], November 20 (ANI): Though the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in mid-August, there are areas that are a no-go zone for them, especially Nangarhar province, which is an Islamic State- Khorasan (ISIS-K) stronghold.
Hollie McKay, an Australian born journalist, who covers news from Afghanistan, writing in knewz said that Chaparhar district of Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar province, with a population of around 55,000, has long been the base for the terrorist organization (ISIS-K) for brutal attacks nationwide. These have risen to a steady state almost daily, ever since the August 15 Taliban takeover.
It has long been the territorial and operational bastion for Afghanistan’s ISIS affiliate known as ISIS-K, or colloquially as Daesh.
“There have been more than 20 dead bodies here since the Taliban came,” one villager tells me from outside the gas station. “Just two days ago, a person was shot dead – we don’t know by who.”
Down a nearby dirt track – where men dig into the earth, and covered women roam with babies in their arms – villagers claim that the number of slaughtered is actually more than 45. Several people vow that almost every day a man is “taken out of his house and killed,” reported McKay.
“ISIS has been there since the beginning, since 2015,” says Samiullah, a house guard who is around 23. “But the Taliban is only there during the day. At night, they gather at a base and don’t go out. Even the previous government soldiers would only go in the day. So this area has always been theirs.”
Meanwhile, the Taliban Governor of Chaparhar reluctantly admitted that there are some ISIS terrorists in the area.
“ISIS are there, a few ISIS,” the Chaparhar District Governor, whose name is Ainudin but who is famous as Badrudin, reluctantly admits. “They might be hidden somewhere, but the Taliban has taken over, and we are fully in control.”
But the further you drive along the narrow Chaparhar Road away from Jalalabad city, the quieter and more sinister it becomes. The Taliban checkpoints disappear, as there is next to no traffic, reported knewz.
Some stores are decorated with a plain black cloth, and others show the black flag printed with the white Shahada, making it impossible to know if it is just a coincidence, or meant the signify the US-designated terrorist faction.
Some point out that years ago, before the ISIS-K rise, Arabs and Chechens started drifting into homes, and it was made clear that the Taliban – then an insurgency – “did not have permission to enter,” said McKay.
“ISIS acts as an insurgency. They stay off the main road, but if they have a specific target in mind, they come out from their houses and target that person,” one driver explains. “That is how they operate.”
Hekmatullah, a baker, swears that the Emirate “has control day and night,” and general store owner Haji Khan, 48, cautiously concurs that “nothing is here.”
Since ISIS-K’s inception into Afghanistan in 2015 – as the outfit gained momentum in its flagship of Iraq and Syria – loyalists have swarmed into the otherwise quiet, picturesque rural parcel….

This story is hilarious: a no-go zone existing in Jalalalalalalalalalalalalalabad where the Taliban can’t go! Christians and Hindus could take a page out of IS-K, and create islam-free zones based on the same model as IS-K has done for the Taliban ? ?
On another note, there is one jihad I’d support – the Uyghur jihad against China (but limited only to Xinjiang). I do hope that IS-K supports ETIM and starts an insurrection in Xinjiang, and gets President Xi to send his troops into Afghanistan. It will be fun seeing the PLA get bogged down in the same sort of warfare that the Soviets and US were bogged down in over the last 40 years. Note that I don’t support the ETIM actually winning: I just want them to devour enough of the PLA until it’s too weak to even hold on to Tibet, much less threaten Taiwan

Actually, Khorasan province is historically north east Iran, west Afghanistan and parts of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. During the Samanid Empire, it included cities like Nishabour and Maashed in Iran, Herat and Balkh in Afghanistan, Merw and Nisa in Turkmenistan and Buqhara and Samarqand in Uzbekistan. No part of Pakistan fell under it, and even eastern or southern parts of Afghanistan, such as Kabul, Kandahar, Ghazni, Jalalabad didn’t either
IS-K has a bizarre definition of ‘Khorasan’ that starts from Kazakhstan and ends in Sri Lanka. That was an empire that even the Parthian rulers of pre-Islamic Persia never even dreamt of

This is similar to the bloods and the crips. Each is a criminal gang with its own territory into which the other gang members dare not enter. Like the Italian mafiz and the Russian gangs which have put down deep roots in the U.S. and avoid each other’s territory unless they are invited in for a joint take-down of LE.
