Biden Meets Pope, Rambles On About…Satchel Paige

The fact-checkers, that is, the disingenuous Leftist hall monitors who make sure that no one is straying too far from the establishment narrative, were out in force Friday after the faux-Catholic faux-President Joe Biden had a cordial and somewhat bizarre meeting with the faux-Catholic Pope Francis.

Reuters intoned that “after U.S. President Joe Biden met with Pope Francis on Oct. 29, social media users pointed to a short clip of their exchange and claimed Biden referred to the Pope as a ‘famous African-American baseball player.’ The posts, however, are missing context: Biden was telling Francis the story of Satchel Paige.” Oh, well, then! That’s different! Reuters doesn’t seem interested in the question of why Biden went to Rome to inform the Pope about the career of a ballplayer from the 1940s in the first place. It was just one strange aspect of an extremely odd meeting.

Apparently, Biden was trying to tell the Pontiff that they were both young at heart, much younger than their chronological ages. He said to Francis: “You’re the famous African-American baseball player in America.” In response, the pope bowed and smiled and said “I know,” which may be his default mode when people tell him weird and incomprehensible things. Then they had the good sense to call over the translator, and Biden was able to get in a shot at evil racist America, albeit the real racist America of the 1940s, not the faux-racist “systemic” contemporary variety.

Paige, he tells the pope, “didn’t get to play in the Major League Baseball until he was forty-five years old because he was black. He was a pitcher. Threw the ball. Usually, pitchers lose their arms when they’re 35. He pitched a win on his 47th birthday. The press walked into the locker room and said — his name was Satchel Paige — they came in and said, ‘Satch, no one’s ever pitched a win at age 47. How do you feel about pitching a win on your birthday?’ He looked at them and said, ‘Boys, that’s not how I look at age. I look at it this way: How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you were?’”

Then Old Joe delivered the punchline: “You’re sixty-five and I’m sixty,” and he and Francis shared a laugh. That’s heartwarming, but it’s also absurd. The doddering, addled Biden, perpetually protected from any tough questions or situation in which he might have to speak extemporaneously on a substantive issue, is just about the worst possible advertisement for being younger than one’s actual age, and Pope Francis hasn’t been the picture of health lately himself. The Satchel Paige story was yet another Biden attempt to get us to believe what he tells us, not what we see with our lying eyes, as when he claimed that he had no involvement in his son Hunter’s business dealings, which were completely on the up and up and of course, not influence-peddling at all.

    • Another gaffe? No, another sign that this doddering old fool is delusional and suffering from dementia. The story about Satchel Paige is meant to convince himself that he is not becoming decrepit by the day … as everyone can see he is.

      Did anyone see the pictures of Jill holding his outstretched hand and pushing it up to support his weight as he climbed a long staircase? Very subtle, but the doddering old wreck cannot be counted on now NOT to stumble. It’s only a short time before his deterioration becomes international common knowledge. America’s enemies are waiting for that signal of total incompetence and they will strike against American interests in several places at once if they are smart about it.

      Soon the doddering old fool will squander the vast oil reserves that President Trump laid aside at a very low cost for use in a national emergency. Then the US will have no oil for the coming international emergencies. Jihad is coming whether the Bribed-man is aware or not.

  4. Illegal Pres. Biden and Jill are both such hypocrites and their faux catholic performance in Rome this week was a total embarrassment to the world! And…… Pope Francis is a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”, that should never be Pope. He came from no where and all of a sudden becomes Pope ? Especially in view of the fact existing Pope Benedict was still alive (?) and forced into retirement ? That never happens! Pope Francis has a lot of communism in his upbringing and is not what he appears to be. And let us not forget that Jill Biden was divorced before she married dementia Joe! All these facts seem to be buried by the liberal lying press! It was very disturbing to see these two lying corrupt people representing the USA meeting with an illegitimate Pope! Just my humble opinion!

  5. Supposedly he went with jilly to meet the pope and tell him all about his being a ‘good’ Catholic even though he is very, very pro-unborn baby murders.

    As I was commenting a day or two ago about Gideon and the parable of the Trees who wanted a king, lastly choosing the Bramble to rule over them, these two came to mind.

    Fires are kept burning in many fireplaces and campgrounds by trees. Brambles don’t make good fire starters or for keeping them burning long-time. Brambles just make a lot of noise as they burn without putting out any heat.

    These two fools…both pretenders to their “thrones,” are just two noisy brambles, putting out a lot of annoying, lying noise, while not making any valuable contributions…no heat, no substance. Just useless lies and pretense.

    They will have to answer for all they are not doing and for all of the lies they are telling and the damage they are doing.

      • They have the same “mind” on things. The pope told those over whom he rules not to keep biden or pelosi from participating, but they are just to counsel or something or that effect. Evidently, it isn’t that important….not like climate change or bringing mozlums into the country and giving them all they want.

If someone brings together all of Joe Biden’s imbecilic comments of things together in a book it would provide quite a few laughs, but it is really sad and an embarrassment to have such a demented fool as President of the USA. As for this nonsense here about how he and the Pope are so much younger than their chronological ages, this just shows more evidence of what a fantasy land Biden inhabits. His mind is like that of the average 95 year old, but, I recall that ludicrous thing where he used to run along the stage like an athlete during the election campaign, apparently trying to show everyone how fit and vigorous he is. Even a left wing guy I know said to me that that running onto the stage by Biden was an absolute joke.

      On Biden specifically, I think you’ll like to know that contempt for this professional political hack, liar, creep and overall mean and stupid SOB, is growing exponentially here in America with every passing week. Chants of “Fuck Joe Biden” or its wonderful, though at the time unintentional, “Let’s Go Brandon” are everywhere anymore.

      He and his ridiculous handlers so deserve it. No one in the bogus Biden Administration is of any worth—Blinken, Austin, Garland, Harris, Psaki, et al. They’re all fuck-ups and huge numbers of Americans know this, though the decrepit MSM in America, effectively an arm of the Democratic Party, keeps covering for this imbecile and his cronies.

      • Thanks for the comment, Wellington. I may have read about that “Let’s Go Brandon’ chant here at Jihad watch, but I had forgotten exactly what it was about. On the “Outsiders” program yesterday morning (Sunday morning here) they did a good summary of that. They showed the racing car driver and all the people who were apparently chanting “Fuck Joe Biden” (of course, that sound had to be muted) and how “Let’s Go Brandon” has the meaning, “Fuck Joe Biden”. On that program, they have shown many of Biden’s ramblings. In fact, yesterday, they showed again Biden sort of sniffing some woman and a young girl’s hair and the girl being clearly very discomforted. It was bizarre and creepy behaviour. That business where Biden used to jog onto the stage used to amuse me. I have never seen another politician jog onto the stage like that. Usually they’ll walk briskly (to show they are reasonably vigorous) onto a stage. I thought it was pathetic. It is embarrassing to watch Biden and, from what you say, the rest of his team are pretty hopeless as well. As you say, the left wing media try to cover up for the demented fool Biden. I believe that Biden and his handlers must have known that he was in major mental decline, and not up to the job of President, so, for the country’s sake, he should have withdrawn from the race to become President. Totally ego driven that he kept trying to become President. Maybe Biden is reasonably lucid at times, but I have often seen clips of him where he is actually so confused that he would be unemployable for even the most menial of jobs. It is a huge worry for the whole free world. Everyone down here is going OK. Hope you and yours are going well.

        • When ‘o’ was pretending to be a senator in Illinois, and introduced as the “young senator from Kenya,” he was to give a speech, and jogged onto the stage, kind of bouncing along and looking stupid.

          Perhaps biden has been told to try looking more like his boss.

        • Oh, that’s where Biden’s jogging onto the stage came from, somehistory. I didn’t know that. I probably wasn’t watching Obama at all back then. As I said, even this guy I know, who is very left wing and hated Trump, thought that Biden jogging onto the stage was pathetic. A pathetic attempt by Biden, so obviously an old man, to fool people into thinking that he is full of energy. Of course, the problem is that his mind is shot to pieces. Jogging anywhere is not going to fix what ails his mind. To have such a person in the position of President of the USA is unbelievable and incredibly worrying.

        • When I first saw ‘o’ it was when he went on stage to give the speech…I have no idea what he said…and the woman introduced him as the “young senator from Kenya,” I wondered what a guy from Kenya would be doing giving a speech in the U.S. for an election here.

          I didn’t like what I saw, the beginning of his speech…couldn’t take hearing his voice, so turned to something I could stomach.

          Now, he’s still pretending to be an American, a Christian and president of a country he hates while he eats high on the hamburgers…still prancing about.

        • somehistory, Obama has never impressed me at all. He always seemed like a slimy used car salesman or some such thing. Always seemed a very smooth talker with no real substance to him at all. I guess Obama is having a lot of influence on Biden these days. Anyway, what you wrote has cleared up where Biden’s jogging onto the stage came from. I found it a really bizarre and ridiculous thing for Biden, or any politician, to do.

    I’m actually a big fan of Satchel Paige–but it seems pretty darn off-topic here. And if this was about American racism in the 1940s it makes even less sense.

    But of course if he really did say that the *Pope* was a “famous African-American baseball player”, then this is far more that just off-topic, but very concerning. Hope it was just lost in translation–but usually English to Italian is not much of a challenge these days.

    And it this was largely about age and competency it is especially odd. Yes, Paige is famous for his great pitching at an advanced age–although I must say that the line “usually, pitchers lose their arms when they’re 35” might sound a *lot* more alarming if they are having trouble with translation–this might sound as though pitchers have to have their arms amputated at the age of 35–a rather worse fate than a lessening earned run average…

    Then, remaining a great pitcher when middle aged is not exactly analogous to sharpness in old age–a subject you would suppose that Biden would want to scrupulously avoid.

    “You’re sixty-five and I’m sixty”–actually, the pontiff is twenty years older than this, and Biden is eighteen years older…

  11. That’s almost what I’ve done, since Biden has come into this office. I save every video, document, articles, audio, etc….that I find. I then keep them all on a USB. I feel like I need to keep all these things, for history’s sake, and to show others.

    You should see what I’ve collected just on Obummer….tons! If I start going through it all, I get too depressed, and angry, and have to stop.

    By the time Biden FINALLY leaves that post, I’ll be wondering who I got more “stuff” on, him or Obummer! lol
    It’s so sad that we have an Obummer 02, in office now, ruining what’s left of this country.
