Chicago under the misrule of its woke mayor Lori Lightfoot is already a sinkhole of gang violence, drug abuse, and vaccine tyranny, and it’s even worse than you think. On Monday, the Justice Department announced that “an Illinois man pleaded guilty today to attempting to provide material support to designated foreign terrorist organizations, the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) and Al-Nusra Front (ANF).” On the same day, another Chicago man was convicted of providing support to ISIS. If this sort of thing keeps up, the skyrocketing crime rate in the Windy City may be the least of Lightfoot’s troubles.
Chicago’s Dilshod Khusanov, 36, according to the DOJ, will be deported after he serves a prison term. He “encouraged individuals to travel to Syria to wage violent jihad, or holy war, in 2014 and 2015. For example, on Sept. 28, 2014, Khusanov urged co-conspirator Akmal Zakirov to engage in jihad: ‘I hope that the only [reason] that is preventing you from jihad is some mistakes and flaws that are occurring among the other fighters.’ Khusanov explained that it would be better to help those fighters, rather than criticize them.”
Khusanov was part of a group of jihad plotters inside the United States who raised money to help get ISIS jihadis to the front lines: “Later in 2014, two Brooklyn residents, Abdurasul Juraboev and Akhror Saidakhmetov began planning to travel to Syria to fight for ISIS.” To further this goal, “a group of individuals in a domestic network based in New York and elsewhere, including Khusanov, worked together to raise and contribute money to help fund that trip to Syria.”
This group began discussing ways to finance Saidakhmetov’s trip to Syria; two members of the group “also agreed to solicit money from others to fund Saidakhmetov’s travel.” They were the ones who contacted Khusanov, who then “arranged for money to be deposited in Zakirov’s bank account before Saidakhmetov’s scheduled departure.”
All of this came to naught, however, when Saidakhmetov was “arrested in February 2015 at John F. Kennedy International Airport, as he boarded a plane bound for Istanbul, Turkey, a transit point for foreign fighters bound for Syria.”
Osadzinski, meanwhile, a former student at Chicago’s DePaul University, was also at work aiding ISIS, apparently independently of Khusanov’s cell. According to the Voice of America, he “wrote a computer code to help IS bypass programs designed to block the group’s propaganda.” He exclaimed that he couldn’t just “sit in the chair while Muslims are dying”; he began studying how to make bombs, and spoke about the massacres he would perpetrate “once I get my gun and explosive belt.”

CAIR claims that the Muslim population of Chicago is between 300,000 and 500,000, oir betweem 11 and 18% of the population. There are 52 Mosques there. Even if it is less than CAIR claims, the numbers must still be appalling.

A sink hole is a natural event. What is happening in Chicago is by no means natural. I think the words cesspit or sheet hole are more accurate descriptions of Chicago

I’m pretty sure the main issue Chicago has aren’t bearded middle eastern muslim jihadis waging war on infidels in the name of allah, it’s the feral black gangs shooting each other on a daily basis. Just this last weekend, there was a massive shootout where 1 child got killed and several others injured. The cops made the arrests of the black men responsible, but the judge let them all go on the account of–I kid you not–“the killing was a part of ‘mutual combat'” (direct quote from the judge). Here’s a thought experiment: do you think the same verdict would be passed down if the perps were white? Me neither.
I’m not saying muslims are not a threat, but they are nowhere near as represented in crime statistics as the blacks are, not just in Chicago but across all of USA. It’s a matter of priorities.

There’s yet another problem with Chicago and it is this: Lori Lightfoot, the Mayor, is almost certainly mentally ill. As awful as Bill de Blasio, Mayor of New York City, truly is, I would not claim he is mentally ill.

Gangsters who are nothing other than lawless vicious street hooligans as well as a haven for scheming malicious jihadists. This must be twenty -first century Chicago . Who would even want to visit that citiy as it is now.
I did twice visit that once interesting city in the during the 1990’s . No more travels to that city more me. It has become and place of fear and mayhem.

My husband grew up there and we did visit in the 1990s. A lot to love there–the vitality, the museums, the Cubs. But the weather was terrible–even in May–and we had to be *very* careful about what neighborhood we visited or went through, especially at night. And yes–it is in many ways even worse now.

All those Chicago thugs – can we have them all join ISIS or al Nusra and leave for Syria or Iraq or Afghanistan – ONE WAY – and hope that they all get killed there? As it is, they have a bloodlust, so instead of endangering Chicago, why not let them do their business in Raqqa or Mosul or Gaziantep or Ghazni?

I worked in Chicago in the 90s and the inner city had not yet degenerated to consistent violence. I have good memories of that time.
The Nation Of Islam was centered there but, despite the anti-white rhetoric, encouraged lawfulness. There were neighborhoods where you didn’t belong at night but it was not today’s city, the yardstick for measuring the relative violence of other cities.
Let’s hope it doesn’t become the yardstick for Islamic violence.

The “mayor” is worse than useless.
She has a mask on, but attended a sports even without…even though she demands other wear them.
She won’t take questions form White reporters.
She is demanding that everyone get the shot….but cares nothing for all of the young kids getting shot with bullets.
She is too busy blaming White people for all of her incompetence and mismanagement.
So, this was a foregone conclusion….mozlums taking advantage of her stupidity, arrogance and her blindness for what is actually happening her “her” city to fund, promote, and commit terror acts.
How in the world did she ever get enough people to vote her into office is the question of the century. We all know that biden didn’t get voted in, so was her “election” also rigged?
Where there is one mozlum terrorist, there are others. They are never alone in their thoughts, intents and actions.

She’s firing the police who refuse her mandates and is demanding that the sheriff of Kane County come in and help her out.
“Kane County Sheriff roasted Lightfoot, saying he would not put his own police in danger over her “slanted agenda.” He even pointed out that sending his cops into crime-torn Chicago would open them up to prosecution since the city’s radical attorneys would sue them at the drop of that hat”
The citizens there have no protection at all from the ordinary criminal gang, and none from mozlums intent on making the city over in satan’s image.

I Have attended a major medical conference in Chicago every year for many years now.
Prior to 2020:
Right down at the Magnificent Mile. Great shopping, great restaurants, and generally safe. I would even walk down to Lake Michigan and jump in for a swim.
But now:
No live gatherings for 2020 / 2021 due to Covid restrictions.
And the crime has spiked there so much since Covid / George Floyd riots – even in the upscale and trendy Magnificent Mile – I’m not sure that it’s safe to go back there again.

Never been to Chicago…”chicken in the car and the car won’t go,”…and had no reason to wish to visit. However, I did enjoy watching the intro to the Bob Newhart Show showing him walking along, the trains, etc. Mostly, though, I just liked the show.
Crime spoils things.

Very depressing about the crime in Chicago, but it does not surprise. Almost identical situation here in San Francisco’s upscale Union Square shopping district.
After the riots and lotting of BLM crime in general has skyrocketed, especially in “blue” cities. After having gone down for decades here, crime–especially violent crime–has gone through the roof here in Oakland.
