The Taliban views Turkey as an ally, and wants to build close ties, while Turkish President Erdogan has referenced Islam as the common ground between Turkey and the Taliban. Erdogan stated:
For Turkey has nothing that contradicts their [the Taliban’s] faith. And because Turkey has nothing that contradicts their faith, I think that we will be able to discuss and agree on these issues better. And there is a process flowing from Doha to there. I think we will evaluate this process well.
Turkey’s next likely step:
Turkish private military contractor Sadat, a paramilitary unit loyal to the Islamist president of Turkey, has advocated the idea of Turkey supporting and helping the Taliban, a group it has called a resistance movement, establish a Sharia state in Afghanistan.
Ali Coşar, a board member of Turkey’s Sadat paramilitary group, called the Taliban “members of a resistance movement that fought against colonial America for 20 years to take over the government and establish a state that practices Sharia. …” He pointed out that the Seljuk and Ottoman Turks had also ruled under Sharia when they governed states in the past.”
Now Erdogan is visiting the US “amid disagreements with President Biden,” according to Al Jazeera, “in hopes relations with the US – for years blighted by a litany of disputes – can be salvaged as President Erdogan attends the UN General Assembly.”
This load of propaganda will easily be lapped up by “progressives,” who continue to be useful idiots to Islamic supremacists, taking them at their word while overseeing the erosion of American influence and values everywhere.
Jihadists are experiencing a boom under the Biden Administration. Erdogan’s real reason for reaching out to America is to propagate his “Islamophobia” agenda, and he referenced “Islamophobia” as a worse virus than Covid.
“Turkish paramilitary contractor Sadat praises Taliban for asymmetrical warfare, cheers Sharia rule in Afghanistan,” by Abdullah Bozkurt, Nordic Monitor, September 16, 2021:
Turkish private military contractor Sadat, a paramilitary unit loyal to the Islamist president of Turkey, has advocated the idea of Turkey supporting and helping the Taliban, a group it has called a resistance movement, establish a Sharia state in Afghanistan.
A research piece published on September 13, 2021 by Ali Coşar, a retired colonel and board member of Sadat, advocated that Turkey help the new Afghanistan run by the Taliban in cooperation with Pakistan, Qatar and Malaysia.
Dismissing the description that the Taliban is a terrorist organization, Coşar said, “They [the Taliban] are members of a resistance movement that fought against colonial America for 20 years to take over the government and establish a state that practices Sharia. …” He pointed out that the Seljuk and Ottoman Turks had also ruled under Sharia when they governed states in the past.
Recalling that Sadat has been advocating the Islamic Union, with a joint military force, Coşar disclosed that ASSAM, the Association of Justice Defenders Strategic Studies Center, an organization affiliated with Sadat, was about to complete a roadmap for realizing the Islamic Union.
“In the 21st century, religious warriors who once again prioritized asymmetrical warfare and embraced martyrdom and becoming veterans for their homeland prevailed over the conventional superpowers backed by special forces in the mountainous Central Asian terrain,” he wrote…..

…………………………
Disgusting, but no surprise. So much for the idea that Turkey is “moderate”.
