“ICC Rescues a Christian Driver in Pakistan,” International Christian Concern, September 13, 2021:
09/13/2021 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – In 2020, a Christian auto-rickshaw driver named Nasir was beaten and falsely accused of terrorism after he was told he could not pick up passengers from a local medical clinic. Although he enjoyed his driving business, Nasir explained that he “was often teased, discriminated against, and abused by Muslim drivers at the pickup point in front of a medical clinic.”
According to Nasir, the owner of the clinic called him a “choora,” a derogatory term used to denote Christians as untouchable, and told him to leave the clinic without any passengers. When Nasir refused to leave, the owner called upon other Muslims to attack Nasir, saying that they needed to “teach a lesson to the choora.”
Thankfully, following the arrest, the judge granted Nasir bail until his next court hearing. However, in addition to the beating and false accusation, Nasir’s assailants also stole his vehicle. As the primary source of income for his family, the loss of the auto-rickshaw was devastating….

ETYMOLOGY OF the Arabic Word ‘ASHIDDAA’
The Arabic (aSHiddaa3u) word covers a very broad semantic field and the specific meaning depends on the context in which the word is used. Its usual meanings include powerful, sharp, ardent, extreme, strong, intensive, rigorous, severe, vehement, quick, violent, and vigorous. The above adjectives make the ayat even more severe and discriminatory. If the verse in question is to be understood in the context of self-defense against physical attacks by unbelievers, then words like harsh, terrible, implacable are probably correct.
A recurring theme in the Qur’an is opposition to disbelievers and mutual support within the community of Muslim believers. There may be, however, a problem with the translation of this verse. The key word is rendered as “harsh” in some versions. Other translators use other words. Yusuf ‘Ali uses “strong”. Rodwell uses “vehement”. Dawood uses “ruthless”. Palmer uses “vehement”. Pickthall uses “hard”. In French, Grosjean uses “dur” (harsh or hard) and Kasimirski uses “terrible”. Ben Mahmoud uses “implacable”.
But in any context, the ayat implies the application of a double standard whenever one is wronged by a non-believer as opposed to a believer. Moreover, the Koran’s many verses commanding warfare against the disbelievers BECAUSE they are disbelievers (K.9.5) give the context of ‘ashidaa’, as does Sharia law: Quote … “Duty to fight disbelievers. “The caliph (o-25) makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians” from Book O: Justice, Chapter O-9.0: Jihad, Reliance of the Traveller (Sharia law manual).

Instead of giving Nasir a new auto-rickshaw, ICC should have worked to get him out of Pakistan altogether. There is no reason that this new vehicle won’t be snatched from him as well
Honestly, there ain’t a qualitative difference b/w Pakistan and Afghanistan, aside from the fact that in the latter, virtually all non-muslims have fled, and so the Taliban is stuck w/ persecuting only those muslims who oppose their rule. Hopefully, TTP comes to power in Pakistan so that all Paki muslims opposed to it experience what Nasir experienced, and worse

None of this sort of behaviour comes as any surprise.
Mudslimes worldwide try to get away with this type of discrimination. But in hell holes like Pakistan it’s normative and encouraged by their government.

This poor Christian. I hope he and his family can flee to India. They have no future in Pakistan.
And note the absurdity of calling this persecuted man a “terrorist”. This shows how absurd it is to take Muslims saying they “oppose terrorism”at face value.

It strikes me as supremist jealousy, similar to communists snitching on each other to be certain no one gets away with more freedom or in the case of India, the caste system which attempts to make superiors and inferiors by class of birth.
The Quran appears to be generated for a people who felt left behind by the world, making the claim that they were morally superior if obeying a set of “moral” rules which then gave them justification to take, through conquest, what they could not produce.
In this instance the successful Hindu auto-rickshaw driver flies in the face of Muslim superiority and must be, “corrected”. Groups of people have always behaved this way yet Islam is the only religion which promotes superiority and discredits, with predudice, the validity of unbelievers and their accomplishments.
