This is rich in light of the fact that in the U.S., purveyors of “Islamophobia” propaganda routinely charge that it is “Islamophobic” not to see the words “God” and “Allah” as identical and interchangeable. On September 11, CNN published a lengthy propaganda piece entitled “9 tropes about Muslims that are a product of Islamophobia,” which claimed that one of these “Islamophobic tropes” was the idea that “Muslims worship Allah, their own special god.” The article explained: “Allah is the Arabic word for ‘God,’ not a special and specific god that Muslims worship. ‘Muslims worship the god of Abraham, the same god Christians and Jews worship,’ Mogahed said. ‘Christian Arabic speakers call God “Allah” as well.'”
Some Arabic-speaking Christians use “Allah.” Others, particularly Copts, carefully avoid doing so. This is because the word “Allah” is closely identified with Islam, and the deity of Islam is most decidedly not identical to the God of Judaism and Christianity. Many people use “Allah” solely to refer to the deity of Islam precisely to avoid the conflation of the two.
In this case in Nigeria, Muslims are enraged with Capt. Jamil Abubakar for using “God” for Allah. Are all his critics “Islamophobes”? No, they’re supremacist Muslims who believe it is a concession to Christianity to use the word “God.” Islamic apologists in the U.S. have a different agenda: they want to lull Americans into complacency regarding the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat. A big part of that initiative is to tell them that we all worship the same God, with minor variations, and that Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are all part of one great Abrahamic tradition.
“Dangote’s Son-In-Law Under ‘Attack’ For Using The Word ‘God’ Instead Of Allah,” by Richard Ogunsile, Naija News, September 16, 2021 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Capt. Jamil Abubakar, the son-in-law of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has come under social media attack for using the word ‘God’ in a post instead of Allah.
Abubakar is of Muslim background and so also his in-law’s side.
Naija News understands that Abubakar who is a son of former IG of Police, Mohammed Dikko Abubakar, had taken to Twitter on Wednesday, September 15, to curse those who swore by the Holy Bible and Quran to serve and protect Nigerian citizens but failed to do so.
He wrote: “Baba God pls anybody who have sworn by the Bible or Quran to uphold the Constitution, the law & serve the citizens but does otherwise. May their destruction start here on earth while still alive….
A Texas-based chemist from Kano state, Fahad Ibrahim Dandladi, believed Abubakar was wrong to have mentioned ‘God’ in his Twitter post instead of using ‘Allah’.
In Nigeria, some people believe whoever uses the word ‘God’ in a statement is of the Christian faith, Naija News observed….
Sharing the tweet on Thursday, Mr Danladi wrote: “This is one reason why we should make sure our children are attending Islamic schools, in addition to western edu.
“Can you imagine, a Muslim, from Zamfara state for that matter, married to Kano daughter, is calling God, Father. If the guy is Christian, I will totally understand. What Boko zalla, taxi cin chance da rashawa massive,” he stressed.

I coincidentally agree w/ the Mohammedans here: allah is not God any more than God is allah. allah is Mohammed’s sock puppet
These jihadists should be put in contact w/ Reza Aslan, and he should be made to change the name of his book ‘No god but God’ to ‘No allah but Allah’ or something along those lines

Who could disagree?

So much for the idea that these figures are one and the same…

Yet another standout example of Muslim hypocrisy that much if not all of the western media will bypass.
I don’t know how Robert keeps his equilibrium with the constant stream of insane rubbish emanating from all points of Islam; I know I’m getting dispirited with the response by our culture in dealing with it, I think as a general rule, institutionally speaking, we are out of our depth with it.
I still think there needs to be a reclassification of Islam from being classed as a religion to a dangerous cult before it can be dealt with adequately but what method can be employed to get it done, that’s the question.
gravenimage says
Robert Spencer is a measured and civilized man. It can’t always be easy.
As for Islam, it is indeed a religion by all definition–but it is an *evil* religion, and needs to be called out as such.
gregbeetham says
I don’t know if labelling Islam as ‘evil’ will achieve the result that is necessary, yes we know it’s evil but most people courtesy of the media still naively think Islam is just another benign Abrahamic faith when it is far more insidious than that.
Even getting Islam tagged as an evil religion officially would be an almost impossible task, maybe someone like Trumpty with the necessary congressional support could get it done.

Greg, by evil I just mean expose the savagery of Islam–and show that its barbarism is a core part of Islam itself, and not some sort of “extremism”.
That’s a big part of what Jihad Watch is all about.
gregbeetham says
Yes that’s perfectly true, but I was taking into account the reluctance of our media organizations to couple Jihad to Islam when we know they are one and the same, and in knowing that where does it leave us in dealing with it when we can’t get the media to speak the truth?
There needs to be some kind of institutional change before the media will be emboldened to start speaking up, I think so anyway.
gravenimage says
Grimly true, Greg–this is not just honest ignorance, but so often willful denial–much more dangerous.
gregbeetham says
I depend on FoxNews on TV here for honest straightforward news and opinion, and of course it is labelled as far right extremist news by the left here which shows how warped the left can be; they have no idea what ‘far right’ actually is and they better hope they never find out.
But even FoxNews is not totally up to speed when it comes to Islamic doctrine but at least they do mention Islam or Muslims by name in association with some horrible atrocity they’ve done.

Not FoxNews, DUH! I’ve been watching Tucker Carlson on Rumble and had FoxNews on the brain, I should have said Sky News.

I don’t like Allah being called God either. Allah may mean “the god” but humans have worshiped many different gods and Allah is one of them. My belief is that Allah (the god) is a false god. I know it’s not per the Bible but I always liked the response of Ramses to Nefertari toward the end of Cecil B. DeMille’s 1956 movie “The Ten Commandments.” After Nefertari asks to see the blood of Moses upon the sword of Ramses and there is none she says, “You couldn’t even kill him.” Then Ramses says, “His god is God.” That god, the god in the movie (and the Bible) who tells Moses to tell his people that ” I Am That I Am” has sent him is a far different god in character and personality than “the god” the Muslims call Allah. My belief is that if Muhammad had been sent by the god who is God Muhammad would have told everyone that he had been sent by “I Am That I Am” … but of course Muhammad did not and instead called his god Allah.

Arabic is NOT the language of the Copts. Coptic is our language. Arabi was FORCED on us by the Muslims when invaded Egypt in the 7th century. God in our language is “Patir”. The Coptic alphabets are completely and entirely different from Arabic and Latin. So, there is really no confusion or should not when it comes to the Copts.

On the other hand, in Malaysia, Christians do use ‘allah’ while referring to their deity, and are persecuted for doing that. I’ve often suggested that they use the term ‘Begawan’ to refer to him instead

Good point, Infidel. Here’s that grim story:
“Malaysia’s top court: Non-Muslims cannot refer to God as ‘Allah’”
https://jihadwatch.org/2014/06/malaysias-top-court-non-muslims-cannot-refer-to-god-as-allah
gregbeetham says
Now that could be regarded as progress for Christians anywhere not to associate Allah with our God because the real God had little to do with Islam, or Satan’s handbook.

I believe Islam is NOT a religion. The proof is in the Koran it self. The huge number of contradictions and violence deny Islam of their claim.

ronyvo, acknowledging that Islam is a religion by all definition is *not* the same thing as saying it is true or good.
ronyvo says
Our God and allah
Some people think that the Muslim’s god (allah) and our (the Christians) God are the same.
This is, definitely, NOT TRUE.
Muslim advocates in the West are trying very hard to justify the legitimateness of Islam as a peaceful ‘religion’, especially after 9/11/01.
Out of desperation they use lies (deception) and double talk, which is allowed in Islam, al taqiya.
They use money, sex, race and terror (fear) to lure Americans to Islam, or at least get their sympathy.
Their god (Allah) is a god of hate. He instructs and encourages them to instill terror in the heart of non-Muslims and kill them (Surah 8:13-17 & many others). The Koran is full with “fight” and ”kill”.
One must acknowledge that Allah is not in harmony with our God.
Before Mohammad ’cleansed’ the Kabba of many idols, it was in fact a pagan temple dedicated by Hindus (although they weren’t called Hindus yet). The tribe of Mohammad followed a primary idol known as Durga, the moon god Al-llat who was represented by the crescent moon to the Arabs and the Hindus. Even before Mohammad claimed prophetic visions he wanted to be a Hebrew (obviously people he admired for their intelligence and beauty) and so he began emulating the Hebrews and their monotheism, but the Jews could not accept him.
Mohammad became angry with the Jews and Christians and began having his visions of his own god in his own way.
God ceased to be called Ar-Rhaman and Mohammad began using the word
Al-Llah to describe his god. This was never the Christian or Hebrew Yahweh (Elohei Avraham the (God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob), but the pagan Arab-Hindu Al-Lat of the Qurashi tribe. (Al meant ‘the’ and ilah meant ‘goddess’, not God.
Jesus taught, “Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you and persecute you.” Math 5:44
Ironically, they call the Christians INFIDELS because they believe (ignorantly) that Christians worship 3 gods (the Holy Trinity). Mohammad fails to understand monotheism. However, it is not enough to say there is only one God if you point at the wrong God.
The Muslims however, give Mohammad an equal position as Allah if not more importance.
In order to be a Muslim you have to say the shehada “there is no god but Allah, and Mohammad is his messenger”. If one cite the first part only, he cannot be a Muslim, he must cite the second part pertaining Mohammad.
Christians’ God, the Lord Jesus Christ is a God of love, peace and mercy.
Jesus forbade his followers from using the sword (Mathew 26:52).
When He was on earth He cured the sick healed the blind. Mohammad didn’t.
Jesus came to save lives (Luke 9:56). Mohammed came to destroy lives (Surah 48:16….).
There is much more to be said to prove that our God has nothing to do with Allah.
No way those 2 Gods are the same. Allah, the crescent moon, is one of the 360 gods, al ellat (the most popular), used to be worshiped by the Arabs, which Mohammad chose to avoid the tribes resentment.
Besides; Jesus (Whom the Koran claims that He is a prophet) warned:
“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. BY THEIR FRUIT YOU WILL RECOGNISE THEM” Mat. 7:15-16.
“..and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people” Mat. 24:11
As for the claim that being of Abrahamatic part:
Even Abraham of the Bible is not Abraham of the Koran:
a) The Bible says that Abraham’s father’s name was Terah, but the Koran says Azar (Surah6:74).
b) Isaac was the one to be sacrificed not Ishmael (surah 37:100)
c) He had eight sons not just two as the Koran claims.
d) He had 3 wives and not 2.
e) He did not live and worshiped in the valley of Mecca (surah 14:37) but in Hebron.
f) He did not build the Kabah. The Kabah was not built by Adam and then rebuilt by Abraham. It was built by the pagans to worship a black rock which fell out of the sky.
g) Nimrod did not throw Abraham into fire (surah 21:68.69 & 9:69).Nimrod lived many centuries before Abraham.
Conclusion: Christianity and Islam are opposite to each other.
