Biden’s handlers continue their bizarre efforts to try to paint this chaotic and catastrophic recent events in Afghanistan as some kind of logistical success.

During an interview with Fox News National Security Correspondent Jennifer Griffin aired on Saturday’s “Fox Report,” Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley said that the speed of the collapse of Afghanistan’s military and government was a surprise, and “what you saw unfold with this noncombatant evacuation operation was one of the contingency plans.” And “There was an extensive amount of planning in this.”
Milley said, [relevant remarks begin around 2:20] “I think a couple of things. One, is the collapse of the Afghan Army happened at a much faster rate and very unexpected, by pretty much everybody, and then with that is the collapse of the Afghan government. So, that was definitely a surprise. But I will say that there was an awful lot of planning done, ROC drills, rehearsals, etc. And what you saw unfold with this noncombatant evacuation operation was one of the contingency plans. And the speed at which it was executed, the flow of the aircraft, we had planes taking off every 30 to 45 minutes or so. We had — we brought in 7,000 — or 6,000 U.S. troops, and then there [were] about a thousand or more or so Afghan troops that secured HKIA. The first day, it was clearly chaotic, no question about it. You saw that on video, etc. But within about 24 hours, that settled down and it became a much more orderly process. The security of HKIA was challenging to say the least, and we saw the bombing. But that would have happened no matter where it was. People talk about Bagram, wherever there’s a perimeter, if there’s no outside force, if there’s no Afghan force securing it, and there wasn’t any, then there’s going to be U.S. forces on the perimeter, on the edge. And they were doing what they were asked to do, which is go out and screen and process people.”
He continued, “So, were there — there’s a lot of lessons learned. And I think we’re going to go through that in a very systematic way. I know we are on the Joint Staff. I know Central Command will. And I’m sure the other departmental agencies will. From a military standing point though — military planning standpoint…those plans were done in detail. … There was an extensive amount of planning in this.”…

Milley could not organize a wedding ceremony. By not evacuating the Americans and SIV Afghans with their families before removing the military presence and preventing the Taliban from taking control of Baghdad, it was like the bride and groom seeking a divorce before the honeymoon. His excuse for not utilizing Bagram Air Base with its many weapons is the most desperate ever.
For this idiot to say that it was well planned and thought out is insane. Maybe the inmates at the mental asylum run the show as Milley and Co. are the most incompetent miss-leaders in the history of the US military. He should be court martialed for not obeying the first oath he accepted as a cadet which is to the US Constitution rather than some old feeble excuse for a president. His assistance with leaving even one American behind, much less thousands, is certainly a breach of that oath and as the NATSI leaders and military learned during the Nuremburg trials, using the “I was just following orders” is no excuse for maleficence such as murder and plunder. Milley has blood all over his hands as has Biden and his entire staff.

I’m starting to understand it was indeed planned. Planned in the same way room was made for chaos, upheaval, Muslim Brotherhood, etc during Obama admin. Planning that favours Islamic jihad. Biden admin. has done everything in its power to give the Taliban the best advantage they’ve never even dreamt of!
But…why? Someone explain the rationale? Besides ultimately, cultural suicide. Is George Soros in charge after all? This upheaval is what his foundation funds, and de-stabilization and cultural destruction is what he aims at, by giving cash to destructive, anarchic groups. Says so on his website. At least it did last time I looked.

Yes, it all went “according to plan.” He maybe doesn’t realize that many of us have already guessed, figured out, discerned, that this entire “pull-out” with the leaving of so much war materials….night-vision goggles, helicopters, guns, ammo…bundles of cash…and the leaving of many Americans who would really have liked to be saved from the terror and death that is coming upon them, was all “planned.”
He is making a stupid attempt to justify the chaos and confusion by claiming that so much “planning” went into the pull-out, but they “didn’t realize” that the afghan army would collapse in a short period of time and this is the “reason” things went awry. and that is why the “chaos” happened.
One report I read this morning early was all about the “terrorists” who are flooding into the country…al queda, isis, etc. and some in the U.S. government are worried that the taliban will have a lot of difficulty establishing a “government.”
They seem no longer to consider the taliban a terrorist organization…but is a “security partner,” and hence, a setting up of a government by them is desirable.
Which goes to show, this whole thing did, indeed, have a lot of “planning” involved. They didn’t want just any run-of-the-mill terror org in charge.

Mendacity, as bad as it is, would still be preferable to delusion, though neither should exist in a man of Milley’s rank.

It seems almost unbelievable that the top brass is still unaware of the ability of Muslims to carry out deception as an art form which is why the entire so called Afghan national army was a figment of their deluded imagination and nothing like they force they thought it was.
After learning the same lesson once again one wonders if even now the lesson will sink in after the internal reviews and the investigations are completed.

It was a plan to humiliate the USA before our allies and the rest of the world, to strand as many American’s as possible in Afghanistan, to leave as many weapons as we did, and to bring as many Afghanis into the US to make sure the swing states are blue and not red in the next election. The plan worked beautifully.

Yes and Russia won a succession of 5 wars with the Persian Empire beginning in 1651 and drawing to a close in 1828 with each side having various treaties with the Ottoman Empire on and off and the Afghans were heavily involved sporadically, so the history between Russia and Afghanistan goes back a long way which probably escaped the attention of those who wanted to jump in and meddle in something in more recent times that was essentially none of their beeswax i.e. after the USSR invaded Afghanistan in 1979.
