Although China has slammed Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan as “ill planned,” China has embraced the Taliban, saying it “is ready to deepen “friendly and cooperative” relations. China’s hostile castigation of America (and more broadly the West) fliers in the face of its own gross human rights abuses against the Uighur Muslim community.
Of course Afghanistan is anything but peaceful under the Taliban as they violently impose Sharia law via killing so-called violators of it–and taking disbelieving women as sex slaves in the process(Qur’an 33:50) and murdering women who are without the niqab (Quran 24:31, 33:59).
The alliance between China and the Taliban is one of mutual convenience since Afghanistan’s economy is fragile at best, while China is forever looking for business and political expansion.
The red-green axis (Communism and normative Islam respectively) has reached new heights in the common goal to destroy America and Western democracy, while the woke remain useful idiots.
“China Says Afghanistan Has “Turned New Page” After US Withdrawal,” Agence France-Presse, August 31, 2021:
Beijing: China on Tuesday said the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan after a 20-year conflict signalled the country has “turned a new page”, after Beijing criticised Washington’s chaotic exit.
China has repeatedly slammed what it sees as a hasty and ill-planned US withdrawal and has said it is ready to deepen “friendly and cooperative” relations with the Taliban following their takeover.
The United States completed its military retreat from Afghanistan on Monday, ending its longest war to cries of shame at home and celebratory gunfire in Kabul from the Taliban.
“Afghanistan has been able to free itself of foreign military occupation,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said at a regular briefing.
“The Afghan people have ushered in a new beginning for national peace and reconstruction, and Afghanistan has turned a new page.”
China’s embassy in Kabul remains operational, although Beijing began evacuating Chinese citizens from the country months ago as security deteriorated.
But Beijing has not yet recognised the Taliban as the de facto government, and is wary of the terrorist group providing support to Muslim-minority Uyghur separatists looking to infiltrate its sensitive border region of Xinjiang.
“We hope that Afghanistan will form an open, inclusive and broadly representative government… and resolutely crack down on all kinds of terrorist forces,” Wang said.
A top-level Taliban delegation met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Tianjin last month and promised Afghanistan would not be used as a base for terrorists.
For Beijing, a stable and cooperative administration in Kabul would pave the way for an expansion of its overseas infrastructure drive, analysts say.
The Taliban meanwhile may consider China a crucial source of investment and economic support…..

China would like to open a mine for the large amount of rare earth mineral that is in Northern Afghanistan. China already has got a contract and started work on Ports in Pakistan for shipping and trading goods .I am sure China, Pakistan, Iran ,Turkey would gladly work together to enrich the warlords in power in Afghanistan spread terrorism to the western world, keep the west off balance. They all could make a good buck off it in the deal. Iran already said they could sell them oil opening a market that was closed to them before. The Taliban could crank up the heron trade ,terrorist for hire , China would gladly like to expand their reach in the world ,why not take advantage as America is being lead by a senile stupid idiot aka Biden. Also China does not care what the world thinks killing everyone once the get a good foot hold in a place if they run into any trouble killing millions of their own people never mind Jihadist in far off lands .They would wipe out whole villages in Afghanistan with a second though.

Could be. But Muslim hatred of all Infidels–even those enabling them–might win out, as it recently did in the Jihad terror attack on Chinese in neighboring Pakistan.

China is not stealing the world, the USA is giving it to them.
What a bunch of traitors we have among us.

True I sometimes wonder if old mumbling bumbling Joe Biden is not on China payroll ,with his son Hunter as one of his handlers ?
roberta says
It cant be any other way.
Joe is helping them to destroy (completely) the dollar. Chinese yen will then become the international standard.
Dont hear much talk of this on the ”news” so it must be true.
Kepha says
This underscores the wisdom of John Q. Adams’ adage that the USA should be the well-wisher of liberty everywhere, but the champion of only its own. Because of WOrld War II, we had an elite that concluded Communists can’t be all bad, and we should try to work with at least some. The result? After our failure to contain Soviet expansion, we allied with Beijing, and ended up giving away our economy and influence to a PRC that remained clearly hostile (a brief perusal of Renmin Ribao and Xinhua would show that). After showing the Soviet’s we could piss in their Afghan back yard, we concluded that Islamicists can’t be all bad, and started working with the Syrian destabilizers. Now that Afghanistan has ended badly, it might just be time to conclude that the Islamic world should be left to stew in its own juice.
We’ve already seen Pakistani Islamicists murdering Chinese contractors in their country; we can expect similar things to happen in Afghanistan. There are already signs that a lot of Africa is starting to turn anti-Chinese. Let them attract the world’s resentments and hatred for a while. We can learn from China to rebuild our strength quietly (a good start would be overturning a Leftist establishment) and maintain the good we have for a better day.

Sadly true, Kepha. Growing up I had thought that the west allying with the Soviet Union during WWII was just a desperate, temporary measure–and in many ways it was. But the west was often equivocal about Communism, and this was especially the case when Nixon–a Republican president–threw Taiwan under the bus in favor of Mao’s China in 1972. Just despicable.

Interestingly, the “distraction” of the Watergate scandal had – luckily – prevented the United States from *completely* severing relations with Taiwan.

Yes, James–one good thing. At the time–I was just eleven and twelve, I followed the news but given my age and access still missed a lot–I hadn’t realized that part of the deal with China was throwing Taiwan out of the UN. Glad that we–the US–didn’t sever ties completely with the Republic of China.

China ‘to deepen friendly and cooperative relations’ with the Taliban
………………
China has the greatest hatred of freedom of any Infidel nation. Their allying with the bloody Jihadist Taliban should not surprise.
Of course, this attempt to ally with the devil has not always worked out so well for them.

There’s is now a new form of the Red/Green alliance in the Taliban, which has no regard of respect for human life has made a political friendship with a tyranny that also has no regard of respect for human life. It’s Communist China that the Taliban are now comrades with each other.
As a Taliban official declared the “Taliban considers China a friend.” [1] Other thing that the Muslim heads of the Taliban and the dictators of Red China have in common is that they both have nothing but spiteful contempt for the United States of America.
This Taliban camaraderie with Communist China does reflect the ancient Middle Eastern and Asian idea of “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” That’s a rather shallow philosophy to have but that’s how they are.

Vladimir says
The ”Red Green Alliance” is such that the ”Reds” will find themselves beaten by the ”Greens” eventually. ”Reds” don’t think too far ahead, being Atheists, and don’t have much in the way of families for the same reason; this one life alone is what is important to them. But the Muslims look ahead past this generation.

Often true, Vladimir. Just look at Iran–the Communist Tudeh Party was savagely liquidated by the Mullahs after they had consolidated their power. They didn’t care that the Commuists had been their allies. Many of these poor fools went to their deaths screaming that they had always been loyal to the revolution, not understanding what that revolution meant to the Islamists.

This is what happens when you have treasonous cruds running a nation into the ground.

They don’t even see their hypocrisy. The way Thought the Taliban would disagree the way the CCP treats their indigenous Muslims. Imagine if a Western Country did that, instead of feting them with housing & substantial Welfare Payments.
OLD GUY says
The Taliban and China, that should be interesting. I’ll put my money one China, they have way more bodies to throw at the Taliban and won’t have their hands tied in the fight like America did.

OLD GUY, I don’t see China actually fighting against Jihad in Afghanistan.
