  1. Why did not Kirby use the proper verb to describe what happened to the Marines? The verb killed does not suffice as he should have said the Marines were slaughtered while performing their duties. Biden & Co. should be brought up on charges of treason by aiding and abetting the enemy. And I thought that the Georgia peanut farmer was disastrous to our nation.

  2. NATO should immediately begin ‘mopping up’ the Taliban and exterminating as many as possible. That will remove the Taliban for another generation. The Taliban cannot be trusted to build a state at peace with its neighbors. The situation must be returned as quickly as possible to the previous stable situation. At least it was peaceful and stable. The Taliban must be wiped out.

  3. I keep wondering about this: The US invades another sovereign country, with a rather flimsy cause: Originally, the Taliban were a US creation to fight the soviets in Afghanistan. Ousama Ibn Laden is a former ally of the United States.
    The US wages war for flimsy reasons, Ousama Ibn Laden does not even reside in Afghanistan, nor was he seen there .
    This hair-raising action is inevitably responded to by bellicose action.
    Then, on the side of the US: BIG SURPRISE! What a crime! They defend themselves!
    What did they expect? That the soldiers of these nations throw pink cotton balls and then submit?
    No souvereign nations wants to be invaded, subjugated, terrorized and have their civil population killed and mistreated.
    Take Russia: No troups abroad
    Take China: No armies abroad
    The world would be a more peaceful place if the US and all other aggressive nations would ressort to do the same.

    • Actually, no, the US had nothing to ever do w/ the Taliban. The parties that fought the Soviets in the 80s were the mujahideen, which consisted of several jihadist parties based on their ethnicity – Pashtun, Tajik, Hazara, Turkmen, Uzbek and so on. The Soviets left in 1989 and at that point, the US stopped taking any interest in Afghanistan, while the Taliban was founded in 1994

      So all those Leftist smarasses who claim that we the US supported the Taliban and al Qaeda are ignorant of history and have no idea what they’re talking about. US is not a drop-in substitute for Pakistan, which was the actual country guilty of propping up these groups

      The claim that Osama bin Laden was never seen is Afghanistan is quite false–he in flact planned 9/11 from there, allowed in by the Taliban.

      And the idea that the entirely Islamic Taliban was created by the ‘filthy Infidels’ is quite mistaken.

      Then the usual–Jihad terror is the fault of those attempting to defend against Jihad terror. Bad dhimmis!

      Then, the idea that offering the Afghans a chance to set up a democratic society–no matter how misguided–is “mistreatment” says it all.

      The idea that the world is not peaceful is the fault of the ‘filthy Infidels’ is ludoicrous–I note that Chrissie01 here has no trouble at all with Jihad terror–including the plotting of 9/11.

      Doesn’t she realize that the US was not in Afghanistan before 9/11? I’m sure this is–somehow–the fault of mean old America as well. Good grief…

        2) I am a filthy infidel, thank you. But these representative wars the US is conducting illegally all over the world do not help, either. Leave these countries alone, cut the ties. Confine to your own territory. It is big enough.
        3) Offering democracy is another term for illegally invading a country. They never asked to be “offered” anything. So – again – leave them alone, cut ties if you must.
        4) The US itself was not in Afghanistan, but as usual, it funded terror groups against the soviets.

          The US entered Afghanistan *after* 9/11–the idea that 9/11 was an Afhan response to US presence there makes no sense at all.

          As I have noted many times, it was never possible to civilized Afghanistan, which is statistically 100% Muslim. After taking out the Taliban and hunting down bin Laden, we should have left.

          You are right about one thing–Islam should indeed be isolated.

          The US was indeed foolish to consider Jihadists resisting the Soviets to be “freedom fighters”. Few knew much about Jihad terror at the time, but such ignorance is still inexcusable.

          Again, I have never supported an endless war in Afghanistan–just the opposite.

    The US Army invades yet another country on flimsy grounds (Ibn Laden was a former ally of the US, the Taliban were a US creation from the cold war to fight the soviets in Afghanistan, at the time the war was declare Ousama Ibn Laden was not even present in Afghanistan)
    Thus, the US Army proceeds to wage war on the soil of a souvereign nation.
    And then: BIG SURPRISE! This friendly gesture is returned likewise, by bellicose action!

    Well, no souvereign nation likes to be invaded, have its infrastructure and civil population attacked, the latter killed by the millions.
    Look at China: No troups abroad
    Look at Russia: No armies stationed outside her souvereign territory.
    I think the US cannot be trusted to live at peace with other nations.

    Ban Islalm in your country, send all these muzzles back to where they find a system according to their taste and secure your country. Also by alliances with other countries that want to stay free from this Muhammadian cult. .

    • I think you missed the part where Osama bin Laden was in Afghanistan for a meeting with Saudi bignobs and could have been wiped out because he was under surveillance at the time but Clinton refused to give permission to do so. Also it’s doubtful Osama was ever an ally of the USA, there were numerous attacks against American targets, embassy bombing, destroyer holed etc. over a long time attributable to him.
      Also the Taliban harboured Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda in Tora Bora which is in the mountainous tribal no-man’s land between Afghanistan and Pakistan, and remember they attacked the USA on American soil in the 9/11 attack BEFORE the USA went into Afghanistan.

  5. Ah, this kirby dude didn’t get the memo from chuckie schumer…”Enough with the thoughts and prayers.” When he was speaking of getting all of the guns away from the citizens of the U.S. who legally own them per the Constitution, Amendment .2.

    Perhaps they could all get together and tell the taliban, al queda, isisk and any other terror group there in afghanistan to hand over all of the weapons they may have recently gained…legally, illegally or by default.

    So much for mozlums and their “words” to allow Americans to leave, if they did so before the end of August.
    The lesson is: never, ever, trust a mozlum to tell the truth unless he is threatening what he will do that means bloodshed, terror, torture, death.
    Some are saying al queda did this, but the taliban have said they are the new sheriff in town, so all bombings and murder fall on them.

    I’m not saying this is never appropriate, but I have gotten *so* tired of “thoughts and prayers”–it is so often lazy and ignores the source of these Jihad terror attacks, let alone doing anything about it. Hearing this trope from a general is just dispiriting.

  8. isis has claimed to have gotten past two taliban checkpoints and U.S. security to set off the suicide bombs. Now, today, biden has threatened isis with retaliation…promising to “hunt” them down, when he chooses, at a place he chooses for the “harm” that has been done to Americans.

    And new explosions said to be the U.S. destroying equipment.

    If isis can get through whatever checkpoints the taliban set up, then isis can get their hands on some of those helicopters and other stuff that hasn’t been destroyed.

    This is like biden watched “Get Smart,” saw Max show up for a meeting with KAOS’s Siegfried, Max didn’t have all of the weapons that Siegfried had, so Siegfried shared with Max.

    biden must believe that someone will share weapons so he can “hunt down” isis members for his retaliation. Or all those producers of military equipment are already making more, so another 85 billion can be sent forthwith, via pelosi and her gang of big spenders.
