Islam mandates death for non-Muslim subjects of the Islamic state who mention “something impermissible about Allah, the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), or Islam” (‘Umdat al-Salik, o11.10), and such laws are based upon passages in the Hadith and Sira in which Muhammad orders the murders of people who have insulted him.
These include Abu Afak, who was over one hundred years old, and the poetess Asma bint Marwan. Abu Afak was killed in his sleep, in response to Muhammad’s question, “Who will avenge me on this scoundrel?” Similarly, Muhammad on another occasion cried out, “Will no one rid me of this daughter of Marwan?” One of his followers, Umayr ibn Adi, went to her house that night, where he found her sleeping next to her children. The youngest, a nursing babe, was in her arms. But that didn’t stop Umayr from murdering her and the baby as well. Muhammad commended him: “You have done a great service to Allah and His Messenger, Umayr!” (Ibn Ishaq, 674-676)
Then there was Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf. Muhammad asked: “Who is willing to kill Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?” One of the Muslims, Muhammad bin Maslama answered, “O Allah’s Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?” When Muhammad said that he would, Muhammad bin Maslama said, “Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab).” Muhammad responded: “You may say it.” Muhammad bin Maslama duly lied to Ka’b, luring him into his trap, and murdered him. (Sahih Bukhari, volume 5, book 59, number 369)
Likewise the popular online fatwa site Islam QA called for death for blasphemers on a page it later took down. It used both Qur’an and Hadith to make its argument. “The scholars are unanimously agreed,” the site explains, “that a Muslim who insults the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) becomes a kaafir [unbeliever] and an apostate who is to be executed. This consensus was narrated by more than one of the scholars, such as Imaam Ishaaq ibn Raahawayh, Ibn al-Mundhir, al-Qaadi ‘Iyaad, al-Khattaabi and others.”
“Kill Him When He Leaves Police Custody – Islamic Cleric Incites Sokoto Residents Against Youth Alleged To Insult Prophet Muhammad,” Sahara Reporters, July 16, 2021:
An Islamic cleric, Sheikh Bello Yabo, has urged residents of Sokoto State to kill one Isma’ila Sani Isah who is currently in police detention for allegedly posting a blasphemous comment against Prophet Muhammad (SAW) via his social media handle.
Isah had reportedly made the comments upon failing to secure a local government job to register his grievances against the Islamic religion….
In a video trending online, Yabo said Isah must be killed anytime the police release him.
According to the cleric, a Muslim who blasphemes ‘must be killed’
He said, “Someone insulted the Apostle of Allah in Sokoto. He wrote on Facebook and made a lot of statements that are very unpleasant to the Prophet of Mercy; inside Sokoto. And I said he has made a grave mistake. It is not in Sokoto that this level of stupidity is done. We just kill. For us, as far as it concerns the Apostle of Allah, ours is to kill. This is not Kano. People of Kano are business people.
“That is why someone would refer to the Apostle of Allah gay and they waste time debating; they refer to the Apostle of Allah as an adulterer and they waste time debating. Here, we just kill. Whoever touches the Apostle of Allah, our responsibility to him is to kill,” he said in Hausa.
The cleric added, “May God bless you Sokoto citizens of Shehu (The Sheikh). Whoever follows Facebook and other social media and sees the way you came out en masse and went to the Palace of the Sultan, shows that the People of Sokoto are standing on the precepts laid down for them by Usman Dan Fodio. Therefore, may Allah bless you.
“The very moment he is released, kill him. The issue of him being insane is irrelevant. If he was insane, does he have no one to blaspheme against apart from the Apostle of Allah? We are also insane because they have touched the Prophet. So, he is insane, we too are insane. The moment he is released, kill him. Not just him alone, whoever touches the Apostle of Allah, kill him. He has no other judgment; even if it’s Bello Yabo (himself) that touches the Apostle of Allah has no judgment other than being killed.”…

If Muhammed existed and could read and edit his holy scriptures, perhaps he would have changed some things. Probably a lot of the text. Whoever wrote the Koran and other texts may have had authentic sayings by the Prophet plus mythical ones. Perhaps the authors invented stories to embed these sayings in so that we do not really have the true story but a mixture of myths and inventions embellished with the author’s imagination. Perhaps the real Prophet was even worse than depicted, or at least different.

The character of Mohammed, who may or may not have lived, is evidence of a brutal, narcissistic psychopath who was as well often times delusional. And even assuming Mohammed existed and even assuming that he was not as bad as depicted in the Islamic texts, the fact that Muslims consider Mohammed the Model Man BASED on the Islamic texts serves as ipso facto evidence of how twisted the collective Muslim mind truly is.

Agreed–the character of Mohammed–historical or not–is that of a murderous psychopath.
mortimer says
The caliphs who commanded the collection and the recording of the circulating legends about Mohammed were nearly all of them ‘MURDEROUS PSYCHOPATHS’.
The sadistic, cruel ideology of Islam encourages ordinary people to become sadistic and cruel.
Mohammed was a much more sadistic, Arabian version of Robin Hood, taking from the rich and giving to the poor Muslim thugs who followed him.
The amoral character of Mohammed is one of the reasons why this founder of a religion is not credible. The narratives about Mohammed are stupid and vicious that they must be fabricated.
I believe many hadiths were written in order to justify the savage conduct of the caliphs and their armies.

Likely so, Mortimer.

Muslim cleric on accused blasphemer: ‘We just kill. For us, as it concerns the Apostle of Allah, ours is to kill.’
………………….
God help us, that pretty much sums up Islam.
Is Sheikh Bello Yabo free to incite murder in Nigeria? In a place that arrests “blasphemers”, likely so. Between the Shari’ah state and the Muslim mob, I fear for Isma’ila Sani Isah.
Walter Sieruk says
Regarding the accused ” blasphemer ” when that Muslim cleric said “We just kill.” That rather sums up that bloody, ,horrific and horrendous aspect of Islam. As found in the Qu ‘ran in Surah 2:191.4 ;48, 5;33. 9;5, 111.112,123. 47:4.
Nevertheless . in spite of all the obvious facts still say that Islam is a non-violent religion.” That fool statement is complete and total balderdash .
mortimer says
Sheikh Bello Yabo is encouraging a Muslim mob to murder a blasphemer. The man’s life cannot be protected by police in Nigeria. The ‘blasphemer’ will have to leave his home and move abroad. This is typical of the intolerance that is systemic in Sharia law.
“We have already discussed killing the person who, with intent, curses the Prophet, belittles him or slights him in any way. The judgement in this case is clear.” (i.e. death) – Qadhi Iyaadh in ash-Shifa, Volume No.2, Page No. 27
“There is no indemnity obligatory for killing a non-Muslim (harbi) at war with Muslims.” -Reliance of the Traveller, o4.17, p.593
Explanation: Sharia permits anyone to kill those who verbally oppose Islam, since they are at war with Islam.

Mortimer, I don’t think the police in this Shari’ah state *want* to protect the victim. They already arrested him while ignoring the threats on his life.
And says
Nice peaceful religion Islam has huh ?
