  1. The biggest FAKE in history. Shabir Ali has admitted there is no point in believing if Mohammed did not exist. Indeed, there is not. That is the point of Spencer’s new book.

    It is worthwhile listening to this discussion of the new edition of ‘DID MUHAMMAD EXIST’. The new book contains 25% new material which recent scholarship has discovered regarding the ALTERNATIVE HISTORY of early Islam … or more accurately, the history of the ARAB IMPERIAL ‘MOVEMENT’ of the 7th century. This movement was different from the STANDARD ISLAMIC NARRATIVE (SIN).

    Robert Spencer is one of the best-informed commenters alive on foundational Islam and its principle doctrine of JIHADISM. Robert Spencer is popularizing the work of the world’s TOP scholars.

    By translating the Arabic term ‘jahada’ (to struggle, to wrestle) as ‘JIHAD’ in English, Robert Spencer is using the term as a term of WARFARE … the exact, warlike meaning that the original term ‘jahada’ was meant to convey.

    Shabir Ali has admitted that the CONVENTIONAL NARRATIVE of foundational Islam is NOT CORRECT. Shabir Ali has admitted that FOUNDATIONAL ISLAM has serious problems that can only be addressed by BLIND FAITH, rather than proper scholarship based on early historic documents and archeology.

    Belief in Islam is going down, because Muslims cannot find Mohammed’s existence. Oops … Islam is the biggest fake in history.

    • The whole of Islam & Qur’an is just a warlords manual for conquest and complete control of its members to do all the dirty work to build their Empire. 57+ countries at present. The prosecutor of the UN Court in de Hague is even Muslim and so is her replacement to be. I do not understand how this can be happening Again!

  3. Mohammedan apologists cannot find evidence of the existence of Mohammed, so they will have to ignore this book, because they cannot refute it. ‘Name-calling’ doesn’t count as a scholarly refutation.

    Shabir Ally (and now the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia) have admitted that the large numbers of hadiths are fabricated.

    No ‘original’ Koran exists with which Muslim apologists may compare all the different versions with many thousands of variants.

    Shabir Ally asks his audiences to believe the Koran is authentic without any evidence … and to believe Mohammed existed even when so many hadiths are fabricated.

    Shabir Ally can only appeal to blind faith. Namely, believe this, because ‘we the mullahs’ say so and command you based on our authority alone.

  4. Fascinating interview and dispositive once again of how weak the arguments for Mohammed and Islam really are and how strong the arguments against them are. Thank you, Robert Spencer.

    If one thinks the world is nuts, which I do about three days a week, the continued existence of Islam makes for a fine example, maybe the best of all, of just how loopy mankind can be so many times—though the continued revival of that monumental stupidity which is Marxism by way of crap like critical race theory is definitely a “contender” here for “top prize” in our time.

    Man advances and retreats. Long term it better be more advances than retreats. Doesn’t appear like that right now when looking at the sad sacks now leading many Western nations but things can change very fast. Hopefully they will for the better. Better.

    Again, a wonderful interview. Islam is so full of it—all totalitarian ideologies are.

    • Shabir Ally presents no evidence for Mohammed, but rather, he insults Robert Spencer and others with ad hominem name-calling, then he appeals to his own authority and that of unnamed ‘European’ scholars, then finely all he presents is a circular argument linked to an appeal to the mullahs’ authority, namely, that ‘we all know’ that Mohammed existed.

      Shabir Ally after much talk has no evidence for Mohammed. Tricky.

  5. Great interview. One thing I noted at 12:00 – when RS said that he wished it could have been translated into Arabic, I think that it’s better to translate it into languages like Farsi, Turkish, Urdu, Bahasa Indonesia, Bangladeshi and so on. At least start convincing non-Arabs that islam is a fraud

    • I’ve often wondered why more non-Arab Muslims don’t realize that Islam was an excuse for Arab supremacism.

      • Wellington, I think because when non-Arabs convert to Islam they become invested in positioning themselves as being Arabs themselves. This is why Pakistanis call themselves “Quereshi” as though they were all descended from Muhammed, and Turkey became so enraged when a genetics site noted that most Muslim Turks have Greek and Armenian DNA. This is also why sub-Saharan African Muslims in places like Sudan and Nigeria refer to themselves as “Arab”, even when they are clearly the same ethnicity as local Christians. V.S. Naipal talks about this in his books “Among the Believers” and “Beyond Belief”.

        • Thanks for that, gravenimage. Yes, I have come across before what you brought up but it simply makes no sense to me but then Islam makes no sense to me. Well, if one believes in Islam, I guess any belief is possible. What a world.

The FACTS being uncovered by researchers show that classical, canonical Islam did not come into existence fully formed in 632AD, but developed over a period of centuries with succeeding generations REDACTING their re-writes of the foundational myths BACK in time to the early 7th century. This led to competing myths about Mohammed which are nevertheless claimed by classical Islam to be ‘accurate’ (sahih).

          ‘Mohammed’ is thus mythology similar in development to the mythologies of Robin Hood, Beowulf and King Arthur. Shabir Ally fails to produce a single piece of evidence to affirm the historicity of Mohammed.

          Shabir makes uses several fallacies to dismiss the claim that the evidence points away from the canonical biography of Mohammed.

          Some of his fallacies (in addition to the ones already identified) are:

          – Appeal to Misleading Authority (experts in the field substantially disagree)

          – Argumentum ad Populum or Bandwagon Fallacy (‘we all know that …’ however, popularity of a claim doesn’t make it true)

          – Appeal to Ridicule (laughing at a claim doesn’t make it false).

      • One reason is punishment or death & they have seen public exhibitions of this. Another is because it becomes an Identity and the only purpose in their lives. Another is because once in, it is always in the back of their minds that Allah will get them if they do not Believe. The guilt and fear gets to them.

  8. If you are quick-fingered, you can stop the video at 2:52 and see what seems to be the translation of a hadith. Why is its English so crummy? What does it say about HE WHO SAYS? Christ is the son of whose slave-girl, and who is the slave-girl? Why is there no closing parenthesis for “(he who affirms these truths”? Why does it say Allah will “make” (not “let” or “allow” such a person to) “enter Paradise through any of its eight doors which he [the truth affirmer] would like”? In English, there is a distinction between “letting”, “having”, and “making” someone do something. Did the translator not know about this distinction?

    • Reply to M. Spahn: many ‘translations’ from original Islamic texts are actually ‘interpretations’ that downplay or whitewash away the horrors of the original passage. Since 20% of the Koran’s passages are opaque to modern understanding, the ‘translators’ of the Koran simply make their own guesses while supplementing the impenetrable text with their own guesses.

      You will find that most translations of the Koran into English are LOADED with bracketed words to explain the defective and opaque original Arabic text.

  9. People criticize Islam to degrade it before others not knowing that ‘the more you criticize Islam the more people will begin to explore how genuine is it’ and they’ll finally embrace it. You can’t make mockery of Islam and made it look stupid before other faiths. People have their own criteria to ensure how truthful something is!!

      • Yes, Otis–the largest number of male converts to Islam in the west are violent felons in prisons. Muslims must be so proud!

    • Note that Ulama’u does not say why we should want to embrace a vicious creed that calls for the robbery, rape, enslavement, and slaughter of anyone who has not submitted to it. But then, this should not surprise. Pious Muslims do not believe they have to present rational arguments.

    Biog: Safiyyah Ally is known for hosting the Canadian TV show Let the Quran Speak from 2006-2014. Before this however, Ally graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and Near and Middle Eastern Studies (2005) and a Ph.D. in Political Science (2013) from the University of Toronto. It appears that Ally held the associate editor position of the online news website, altmuslim.com (“Global Perspectives on Muslim life, politics & culture”), at some point, though it is unclear when exactly she occupied the position. In addition she began working as a teaching assistant for the University of Toronto in 2008 and as of 2015 still holds this position (according to her LinkedIn).   11. There’s a revert from Islam to Christianity, he’s well known and has a weekly or nightly half hour series on television who boldly states that, ‘Mohummed,’ is Satan.’
    I invited him to speak at one of our meeting’s to educate Christians on ‘why Islam is evil.’

  13. Islam is a load of crap,and yet it has somehow got over a billion followers. It definitely ranks as the all time greatest scam ever inflicted on humanity (as I notice that Otis mentions up above). I suspect that islam can only have prospered because it is a thuggish, murderous ideology which has slaughtered so many people and continually threatens people with death and manages to enslave them. Muslims are all deluded. Muhammad didn’t exist, allah does not exist, so the Muslims spend their lives believing total rubbish. They should all wake up and leave Islam behind. They should join the more civilised members of the human race and either believe in no god at all or in a more gentle, peaceful version of what god is like. Robert Spencer does an excellent job of exposing the truth about islam.

    • Timo,I wonder what a world ? we can have should Muslims denounce Islam.The luckiest people will be their women who will have the freedom to choose who to fall in love with.Freedom to choose what to wear and freedom of association.By the way there’s a lot of beautiful hard-working women with high potential in various fields of work that Islam is wasting.These women can eventually, find their joy by having the freedom to have a full time work.I curse Islam and it’s demonic teachings.

I’m with you in cursing Islam and its demonic teachings and, if islam does die out (what a happy time that will be for humanity), as you say, women will be the biggest winners of all. Islam treats them like crap, so they will be able to have the type of lives that all human beings should be able to have if Islam can be gotten rid of. 1400 years of Islam fouling up the world is far too long, that’s for sure. It has brought so much misery to the human race.

  15. I have read scholars on Christianity and the earliest account which is considered authentic was written 60 years after the death of JHC. It is also considered by these scholars that it was not written by a person who knew him, despite the name applied by the church as author

    • Fact is if Jesus did not exist then it further disproves Islam. As the korant is full of Issa stories.
      If Mo did not exist it hasn’t any impact on Christianity at all.
      Lastly many theological scholars would disagree on your dating of the Gospels.
