You may recall, if you’re old enough, all the mainstream analysts after 9/11 assuring the world that the Taliban had nothing, nothing whatsoever, to do with Islam. The Taliban never listened.

The Taliban said Sunday they remain committed to peace talks but insisted that a “genuine Islamic system” in Afghanistan was the only way to end the war and ensure rights — including for women.
Talks between the militants and the Afghan government have been deadlocked for months and violence has surged across the country since May when the US military began its final withdrawal.
Fears are also growing that if the Taliban return to power, they will reimpose their harsh version of Islamic law, under which girls were banned from school and women accused of crimes such as adultery were stoned to death in stadiums. Despite the rise in violence, Taliban co-founder and deputy leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar said Sunday that the group was committed to the peace talks.
“Our very participation in the negotiations… indicates openly that we believe in resolving issues through (mutual) understanding,” Baradar said in a statement. He said the only way to end the conflict in Afghanistan was to establish an Islamic system after the departure of all foreign forces.
“A genuine Islamic system is the best mean for solution of all issues of the Afghans,” Baradar said. His statement acknowledged the fears in Afghanistan and abroad about the kind of system that would emerge — and its impact on women — saying that fell “within the ambit of the intra-Afghan negotiations”.
Baradar also assured that the rights of all Afghans including women will be accommodated in that system according to “the glorious religion of Islam” and Afghan traditions. But many fear that the Taliban’s interpretation of rights will clash with the changes that have happened in Afghan society since 2001….

I had a laugh, a laugh of disbelief, when I saw that photo of those women completely hidden away in their tents and the headline for this report about how Islam will protect women’s rights. What a juxtaposition. As for the “glorious religion of Islam.” Instant vomit. Islam is the most repulsive, evil and barbaric load of crap that is still stinking up this world. But then again, we do have many fools who do go along with this crap and keep telling us that Islam actually deserves respect. I suppose those idiots must also think that islam is “glorious”. And “Afghan traditions”. Those traditions mean living in the way 7th century primitives lived in Arabia. Places like Afghanistan, Pakistan and other Muslim countries are hopeless, unbelievably backward places of darkness. Imagine people still, in 2021, living in such a backward, primitive way.

What was telling is that in a country that is more open to women’s rights, there were NO women in the footage, anywhere! only men being treated

Note that Sabri S. considers women “whores” is they resist forced marriages, try to flee violent marriages, or try to marry for love. He also considers women “whores” if they dare resist being immured in Burqas.
