Not only do some Islamic traditions say that Muhammad was originally named Qutham, but others assert that it was not the angel Gabriel, but the angel Saraphel, who first appeared to the messenger and began giving him the Qur’an.

Tell me, if you were directing operations at an organization and you have someone w/ a proven track record for success, and you had a new major project on your lap, would you bypass him and assign it instead to someone w/ no track record for doing anything like it?
That’s precisely what allah plans to do during end times. He ostensibly wants crosses to be destroyed and Christians to either be forcibly converted to islam or slaughtered. Mohammed had a good track record in doing that. Instead of resurrecting him to do this job, allah assigns it to Isa – the muslim ‘Jesus’ – who had no record of doing anything like it. Isa’s sole talents were giving life to clay models of birds and other creatures, and conning someone else to die on the cross in his stead. If you were allah and had that requirement, why would you assign this job to Isa instead of Mohammed?

Logic and philosophy were mostly rejected by al-Ghazali (c. 1058 – 1111) who rejected ‘causality’, namely, that ‘if A, then B, then C’.
Al-Ghazali published his book ,The Incoherence of Philosophers’, marking a turning point in Islamic epistemology. The encounter al-Ghazali had with skepticism led him to form a belief that all events and interactions are not the product of material conjunctions but instead are the present and immediate Will of God.
The year 1111 AD is widely held by Sunnis to be the year that Islam was codified finally, after which no new conclusions could be added.
Islam is frozen in the year 1111, the year al-Ghazali died.

Thanks for citing Qur’an 5:101, Michael–Islam is a creed that demands no one question it. Also, “disapoint” is also translated as “disturb” and “distress”, which pretty much sums up Islam. The more I learn about Islam, the more distressing it is.

I have to disagree with you Mortimer regarding Brando’s historical review.
Although he didn’t tie things to Robert’s
piece specifically, I believe his points are well taken in that the efforts to insure the health of others not related oneself springs uniquely from the Judeo-Christian beliefs and traditions. Contrast that with the violent creed of Islam and his points are well taken. Besides, I don’t recall anyone appointing you the gatekeeper of this site. The beauty of this site is that is truly a welcoming and open forum. If you would like to exercise your proclivities for such, I’m sure the Trust and Safety team at YouTube could find a place for you. Check with David Wood. He could probably direct you to the right people.
