“All the world’s a stage”, said Shakespeare, but little did the English literary genius know that the dramas staged in India can be enacted in no other place in the world.
Story Time:
A 72-year-old Muslim man was cornered and battered by a group of unidentified men on June 5, in Ghaziabad’s Loni in the state of Uttar Pradesh. On June 7, a local Muslim politician, Ummed Pahalwan Idrisi, conducted a “Facebook Live” session with the victim, Abdul Samad Sufi, in which he claimed that he was forced to chant “Jai Shri Ram” by the attackers. Ummed Pahalwan Idrisi belongs to a local political party from Uttar Pradesh which also forms the opposition to the reigning nationalists.
Based on this claim and a doctored video of the assault that surfaced on Twitter a week later, popular Muslim “intellectuals,” journalists, columnists at big media houses, fact-checkers, and Islamic propaganda websites in the guise of “neutral news sites” took to Twitter to share this video and accuse the Hindus of this assault. These include Mohammad Zubair of the “fact-checking” website Alt News, who has been accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POSCO); columnist Rana Ayyub; journalist Saba Naqvi; and political figures such as Salman Nizami. They did not limit themselves to slamming Hindus; they also dragged the revered Hindu God Ram through the mud, repeating unfounded allegations that the skull-cap sporting old man was forced to chant “Jai Shri Ram” by “Hindutva extremists.”
It took no time for this fiction to go viral on Twitter and other social media platforms. Though Abdul had never lodged a police complaint, responding to the Facebook Live session, Uttar Pradesh police approached the victim and registered a formal complaint. Weirdly enough, Abdul said nothing about being forced to chant the Hindu religious motto of “Jai Shri Ram” while filing the complaint. Abdul also asserted that he didn’t recognize his attackers.
Reality is stranger than fiction
On June 15, Gaziabad Police issued a notice on its official Twitter handle stating that it had identified the perpetrators as Arif, Aadil, Mushahid, Poli and Kallu. While Poli and Kallu are common non-religious “pet” names, Arif, Aadil, and Mushahid are Islamic names, giving away the religion of the three and debunking the “Hindutva extremist” narrative promoted by the Muslim intelligentsia. The prime accused is identified as Parvez Gujjar; Parvez is a Muslim first name, and Gujjar is a surname used by both Hindus and Muslims.
The untampered video of the assault has no mention of “Jai Shri Ram” being chanted or forced upon anyone. Those who were beating up Abdul shouted, “This is the kind of fraud you do.” Apparently, Abdul lied on his Facebook Live session with Ummed Pahalwan Idrisi.
That was not the only untrue submission by this “hapless victim.” He very well knew who these attackers were. He had sold some kind of magical amulet (tabeez) to the prime accused Parvez, to bring him prosperity. Not only did the good-luck amulet not bring any prosperity, but Parvez also complained that his family started to experience adversity after he procured the magic token. This angered Parvez, so he beat up Abdul and chopped off his beard for fooling people.
But despite the lack of any “Hindus lynching marginalized minority” angle in this episode, one can always trust the likes of Rana Ayyub to add some anti-Hindutva communal flavor to any random crime.
Uttar Pradesh takes on fake news peddlers, including Twitter
While they are investigating the matter, on Tuesday Gaziabad Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against nine entities, including The Wire and Twitter Communications India Pvt for peddling fake news and giving a malicious communal slant to the Loni Assault Case.
The police stated, “There is no communal angle to the incident in Loni where a man was thrashed and his beard was chopped off. The following entities — The Wire, Rana Ayyub, Mohammad Zubair, Dr Shama Mohammed, Saba Naqvi, Maskoor Usmani, Salman Nizami — without checking the facts, started giving communal color to the incident on Twitter, and suddenly they started spreading messages to disrupt the peace and bring about differences between the religious communities.” They also observed that the popular micro-blogging site made no attempts to prevent the doctored video from getting viral.
Facing a police case, Mohammad Zubair of Alt News, who has been hailed as the fact-checking expert of secular India, has taken down the doctored video and followed up with a tweet, “I’ve deleted the videos that I had posted. The victim’s version of him being forced to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ at this point in time do not seem to add up based on my conversations with police authorities and other journalists reporting on this issue.”

Moslems are professional victims. They will make some stuff up and scream “islamophobia.” Lies and deception will always be the center of islam.

It would be wonderful if the muslims fight the other muslims and destroy each other
The whole world would be better off
Infidel says
Actually, in a lot of countries, they do. All that’s needed is for there to be not much of a non-muslim population, and division of the muslims either into different sects, or even different ethnic groups. So you have the civil wars in Yemen and the just ended one in Syria, conflict in Pakistan b/w all 4 of their major ethnic groups, rifts in Iran b/w the Farsis and the other 4 ethnic minorities – Balochis, Arabs, Kurds and Azeris
We just need to get out of all those places. Hopefully, we stay true to the September 11th deadline

Grimly true.
Infidel says
This truly is allah’s miracle. Not only did the amulet not bring any good luck to Parvez, which would be expected, since it is an amulet after all, but on top of that, it seemed to go the other way and brought bad luck to Parvez instead!
Absolutely hilarious!!!
On a different note, India needs to follow Nigeria’s example and ban Twitter altogether. In fact, following that move, the Nigerian government decided to move to the Indian app Koo, which is an Indian version supported in multiple languages, including non-Indian ones. Twitter has started groveling before Nigeria, but the latter is not interested. While I’m no fan of Buhari and support Biafra, if indeed it’s getting resurrected, I do congratulate Nigeria for bringing Twitter down a few notches

21st century colonialists like “Jackass” ?Dorsey only come to their senses when the receive a proper kick in their tender spot, as delivered by Nigeria.
I fail to understand the grovelling, almost apologetic approach of Indian IT ministry towards “Jackass” and his minions! ??He is not the type where “Gandhigiri” can achieve any results.

A bit like the “Defund the Police” riots.

I’ve been noticing very disturbing signs of timidity from the Indian government lately. It’s pretty embarrassing to watch, even from outside, since I’ve not been an Indian citizen for more than a year now. Starting w/ their responses to the setbacks in Bengal, and going from there
Maybe it’s time for Modi to go Netanyahu’s way, and pave way for Yogi Adityanath: Amit Shah seems to be more bark and less bite
latha says
Nowadays our Home Minister Amit Shah is not even barking. He is waging his tail in tandem with the tunes of NaMo. That’s why he, the man Friday of NaMo was made the HM.

Muslims are so superstitious–and rarely in the upbeat if silly “Lucky Penny” sort of way.

Maybe Wellington is wrong, and allah does exist, except that he’s like Loki, the Norse god of practical jokes, and derives a sadistic pleasure from watching his followers suffer for all the evil that they do in the world in his name ?

Infidel, that would be the “mad god universe”, so beloved of dystopian sci fi writers. It can make a good–if grim–story sometimes. Luckily, it’s not something I believe in. And if I did, I would *still* have to oppose Islam, rather than embrace such horrors as Jihad terror and raping children.
Infidel says
Oh, I still oppose islam, I just think that the allah whose picture I painted above agrees w/ me
Raja says
Thank you Davis for bringing his deceit-jihad by the journos and others. I am already following the story in the net for last couple of days.
Twitter, it seems is finally getting caught in its own schemes of being a dishonest arbitrator in all issues of political import and getting away with them. To make things worse they were on the side of people who used subterfuge and relished its role.
Not anymore, the screws are on Twitter and hopefully they are caught this time for siding with Islamic subterfuge.

Tweeter in America removed the Hunter Biden,s lap top story right before the 2020 election from its platform even with solid proof from N.Y. Post story, repair store owner, and Trump,s lawyer. They keep a cooked story about one Moslem selling another swindled Moslem “fake” magic beans that results in the seller getting a beat down .Twisting it into a Hindu verse Moslem “hate crime” ,help fix an American election holding back a true story and fuel a religious war in India putting out a fake story over selling magic beans gone bad. I am glad I do not use tweeter maybe “journalist ” the world over would be better at their jobs if they ignored this rumor mill. India should hold tweeter feet to the fire not kiss its ass Dorsey.
