Congress Votes to Make Pulse Nightclub, Site of Jihad Massacre, a National Memorial

Five years ago today, a young man opened fire in the in the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, on June 12, 2016, murdering 49 people and injuring another 53. NBC News reported Thursday that the Senate voted unanimously in favor of legislation designating the site a national memorial. Almost certain to be omitted from the memorial, however, as it has been from all the coverage of the legislation, is any information about the beliefs and motivations of the attacker. This is because the killer, a Muslim named Omar Mateen, was an Islamic jihadi, and in Old Joe Biden’s handlers’ America, jihad terrorism just doesn’t exist.

Pulse was a gay club, and so the massacre has been taken for granted from the beginning as an incident of anti-gay violence, although, as Tyler O’Neil recently explained, that is not actually what it was. Nevertheless, Biden’s handlers issued a statement today doggedly assuming that the attack was targeting gays as such, and scolding us yahoos once again to go easy on the “hate”: “We must drive out hate and inequities that contribute to the epidemic of violence and murder against transgender women — especially transgender women of color. We must create a world in which our LGBTQ+ young people are loved, accepted, and feel safe in living their truth.”

This has been the Left’s line on the massacre for years. In the immediate aftermath of the massacre, the ACLU’s ridiculous staff attorney Chase Strangio tweeted that the massacre was the fault of conservative Christians: “You know what is gross — your thoughts and prayers and Islamophobia after you created this anti-queer climate.”

All right. So “Islamophobia” and Christians are the problem, and Biden’s people want us to create a world where LGBTQ-and-all-that young people are loved and accepted. All right. Let’s create that world. Now let’s see. What might be one large belief system, followed with varying degrees of knowledge and fervor by over a billion people, that mandates the death penalty for homosexuality? No, not Christianity, despite its status as the favored whipping boy of the besotted ideologues such as Strangio and the LGBTQ-whatever lobby. While Christianity sees homosexual activity (and all sexual activity outside of a marriage between a man and a woman) as sinful, it does not call for the death of homosexuals.

    But any mention of Mateen’s statements would be worth the $358.80…

    • Mateen went after adults peacefully enjoying themselves in a gay club. He had no excuse whatever except the murderous attitude sanctioned by Islam. Unless he is quoted verbatim and in full — ALL his Muslim references — this thing should be opposed like the Ground Zero Mosque.

      But this time it’s a crime of jihad hypocritically being turned by the Left — which admires jihad — in the name of “love” into an exercise in evasion, hypocrisy, and kow-towing to the forcing of a “transsexual” and “sexual fluidity” advocacy campaign aimed at sexualizing young schoolchildren by predators both within and external to the “LGBTQ community”. (Not all of which is on board with it but objections from there are being drowned out.)

      This companion to Critical Race Theory must not be sanctioned in the name of avoiding being called “homophobic”. A line has been crossed by the Left’s “cultural Marxists” and its targets are not old enough to defend themselves. That’s going to be the job of the grown-ups, however many of these are willing to step up to the plate.

      Note that he considers this “manly”–but then, he also considers rape and child rape to be manly. (Oddly, homosexual sex is fine in Islam so long as it is pedophilia or rape–it is only consensual gay relationships that are really condemned).

      And he considers allowing gay people to live unmolested “immorality and filth”–but lauds Muslims murdering their own children.

      He hopes to be a “defender of Islam” here, but he just exposes its hideous ugliness every time.

      • Jedothek, Sabri S. is a long-time Jihadist here–he is very knowledgeable about the texts and tenets of Islam. He is not some Infidel troll trying to make Muslims look bad.

      It should be added that whenever happens because ofthe violent and deadly teaching of Islam there will always be a number of people around , in-spite of all the facts,still will completely refuse to acknowledge the violence and killing that are part of the religion of Islam.

      In other words they will remain in a mental state of denial because they won’t take off their naive religious blinder about Islam. How sad .

      • I agree with what you say, Walter, about the creature in this photo. I’ve seen a lot of idiotic looking selfies that people take these days, but this guy’s pose takes the cake. Conceited doesn’t begin to describe his pose. My immediate thought was, what a complete wanker. But, as you say, Islam turned him into a murderous, evil monster. As gravenimage says, a few typos don’t matter at all. What you were saying was clear and a point well made.

  5. I remember that. Had no idea the shooter was a Muslim Jihadi though, even though I’m usually pretty alert to that. Had he been a white Trump-supporter we would still be hearing about it. There would have been no end to it..

    • Johnny, I think a lot of people assume that the Orlando massacre shooter was “far right”–even though this was a text-book Jihad terror attack.

  6. Have you ever considered this aspect of the term “Islamophobia”? The ‘official’ (I.E. Wikipedia) definition opens with: “the fear of, hatred of, or prejudice against the religion of Islam or Muslims in general, especially when seen as a geopolitical force or the source of terrorism. The meaning of the term continues to be debated, and some view it as problematic.”
    Google next offers up the CAIR website page titled: “Islamophobia is close-minded hatred, fear or prejudice…” and a teaser: “In the current political environment, anti-Muslim bigotry and Islamophobia have become pervasive features of American public life. Whether in formal politics or national media, it is common to see and hear negative stereotypes and fear-mongering messaging about Muslims and their place in society.”
    Many academics relate Islamophobia to xenophobia and racism – but I’m wondering: “why is anyone bothering to even debate the definition of a term invented by Muslims (Muslim Brotherhood, Council on American-Islamic Relations- CAIR, etc.)?” It does not take an academic to understand what Islam is all about. Anyone capable of reading or listening can understand the worldwide objectives of the Islamic so-called “religion”. You start by studying the kind of person Mohammad was.
    But here’s another way to look at it: The very fact that Muslims in the upper echelons of leadership felt it necessary to invent and sell the disparaging term “Islamophobia” (disparaging to those who are infected with this pseudo-affliction) is an indication that they understand the mandates given to all Muslims to inflict terrible (as in “terrorism”) pain on non-Muslims is not easily accepted by many non-Muslims.
    Consider as evidence: Is there a disease “Christophobia” (or equivalent)? Or “Hindophobia”?, or “Cathophobia”?, “Buddophobia”?, surely there must be cases of “Judaiophobia”?, aren’t “Atheists” to be feared and scorned by people inflicted with “Atheophobia”?
    The Quron (a concocted collection of sayings of the founder of Islam, Mohammad) when correctly interpreted for what it is (Mohammad couldn’t write and many of the Quron’s commands evolved even after his death), tells us that Islam is a way of war and world domination. I admit that it is a lofty ambition. But it advocates violence and death to the non-believers, and in my book, that should be feared. Four hundred years of murder and mayhem in the name of Allah is a history that really should come to an end.
    Does that make me a diseased sociopath afflicted with “Islamophobia”? Am I a racist, even though I know that every race on the face of the earth has people who have succumbed to the promises of Islam? Am I xenophobic even though I understand that Islam covers the entire globe and is the second largest ‘religion’ worldwide? If I happen to be gay and attending a gathering at a gay nightclub, do I have an illness if I’m concerned about a possible Jihad attack? If I board a jet with a group of Muslim men (of Jihad age), can I be expected to not give a second thought to the number of people murdered by Muslim men of Jihad age seeking a way to paradise (as their leader promised them) by taking down passenger planes? You can label me sick, ugly, fat, Islamophobic, prejudiced, or anything else that comes to mind, but you cannot re-write history!
