A previous report notes that “took over the church and threatened their Christian colleagues with blasphemy cases if they failed to raze the church and convert to Islam.”
And now the blasphemy charges have come. The world “human rights” organizations, however, are too distracted by their hunt for “Islamophobia” to take notice.
An update on this story. “Pakistan: false blasphemy charges against Christian nurses multiply,” by Shafique Khokhar, Asia News, May 7, 2021 (thanks to Tom):
Lahore (AsiaNews) – In the space of four months in Pakistan there have been three episodes of false accusations of blasphemy against Christian nurses. It started with the incident of Nurse Tabita from Karachi then Mariam Lal and Nehwish Urooj from Faisalabad were accused of tearing a sticker and now another recent incident took place in the Mental Government Hospital, Jail Road, Lahore, in the province of Punjab, Pakistan.
On April 29, 2021, three Christian nurses Sakina Bibi, Jessica Khurram and Treeza Eric were on duty in the Mental Government Hospital, Jail Road, Lahroe and they were falsely accused that they were insulting Islam. The incident began the day before when one of the Christian nurses had shared a video of a person in which he had been speaking about the situation of Pakistan due to Tehreek-e-Labaik (TLP) to a WhatsApp group of medical staff of the Hospital. The same video became the source of blasphemous charges against her along with two other Christian nurses.
In response the Nursing Superintendent Khalida Suleri organized a group of Muslim staff and went to the Church located inside the hospital and said their Islamic prayers organizing a rally against Christian staff while threatening Christian nurses.
The Hospital Church was allocated in 2019, at the requested of the Christian Nurses staff to the Secretary Health of Punjab, to allow staff and patients to celebrate Christmas in the premises of the hospital.
There are 700 employees working in the hospital among whom there are 339 staffers including 105 nurses who are Christian and they are given permission to pray for 30 minutes’ once a week by the hospital administration….
Country Coordinator of Human Liberation Commission Pakistan Holland, Nadeem Samuel said he found no offense against Islam in the video, and Mr. Aslam Pervaiz Sahotra investigated and asked Sakina and Jessica about this incident. According to the nurses, Mr. Samuel said, some Muslim nurses hate Christian nurses and face discrimination even in their work.
James Channan OP, a famous and well-known figure in interreligious dialogue, also met the nurses, clarified the real facts of this incident and promptly informed the higher authorities of the Punjab police. He asked the authorities to provide protection for Christian nurses. He also reassured the nurses for their safety. He also asked both sides not to make any further statements or complaints against each other. Christians will continue to use this auditorium for weekly worship as before….

Courageous women fighting for their faith in the belly of the beast. Anyone of lesser commitment to a calling w old escape Pakistan for where they could serve God and the Church without fearing for their lives.

These courageous women are abandoned by the international press which is concerned with the narrative of Muslim victimhood, but in every Muslim-majority country the religious minorities are victimized every day, especially minority women.

My response to this report is that you wouldn’t want to be a patient in a hospital where the nurses are so divided and fighting one another. Islam is disgusting and produces totally intolerant maggots like these nurses and Pakistan seems to be one of the most appalling countries you could find anywhere in the world. There seems to be nothing but violence and backwardness in that hopeless country. Christians would certainly need to be very courageous people in that loathsome country. I wish the Christians well and hope that most of them can escape from that shithouse country, Pakistan. Leave the disgusting country to the Muslims and they can live their hopeless Muslim lives together there and not persecute non-Muslims the way they always do.

………………
Tim–with the greatest respect–this is Muslims attacking Christians. This is not a dispute where there is blame on both sides.

You are right, gravenimage, and I was wrong. It is definitely Islam that is the evil instigator of all these disgusting and totally intolerant acts. There is no doubt about that. Pakistan, as I have often said, is surely one of the most appalling countries around and it is all due to Islam’s malignant influence as far as I can see. It was a rather stupid throw away line by me. Probably I was having a flash back to my two stays in hospital in the past 4 years or so, once for prostate surgery (not cancer, luckily) and then when my appendix burst. I was thinking how lucky I was not to be a patient in a place like Pakistan. I had very good nurses here, almost all from Asian countries. Slightly related to the troubles in Pakistan, in terms of not living with constant trouble, I have to say, and I said it to my fellow golfers today when they started to talk about the trouble in Israel,( they are left wingers and were not pro-Israel) that I’m just glad I don’t live in Israel, or anywhere in the Middle East for that matter. There will never be peace there from what I have seen during my lifetime and I am very glad I don’t have to live in the middle of trouble like that. Life is fairly short, so to be stuck living in the midst of constant violence and trouble would be terrible. I am a Christian myself, so I am 100% on the side of the Christians in Pakistan, such as these nurses and all other Christians. Life still provides plenty of problems, but I am glad to be living in a peaceful place such as Australia. I got lucky there. There is a lot of luck in where we are born and to be a Christian in Pakistan would be unendurable.

Thanks, Tim.
And I would support these nurses if they were Hindu, or Sikh, or secular, as well–no one should be subject to this kind of vicious persecution.

Not a fan of Christians, but this is beyond sickening.
The Chapel can only be use for 30 minutes a week? WTF is this? Any religion should, within reason, be allowed to conduct it’s prayers on a daily basis.
So long as it doesn’t affect anyone else, then let em go for it. Even Christians and mudslimes should be allowed this at least.

Islam regularly targets those of other faiths.

No kidding, I wouldn’t have thought that!
Sorry, coffee hasn’t kicked in yet.

OK, Keith.

Pakistan: Christian nurses accused of blasphemy after Muslim nurses take over hospital chapel, demand it be closed
……………..
Just appalling. This makes it clear that their just not converting to Islam is considered “blasphemy”. And likely no one in authority in Pakistan will help these poor Christians.
They and their families should go to India, which has offered non-Muslims asylum.
Andrew Blackadder says
Has anybody noticed that those who follow this Fascist Religious Cult, aka islam, seem to be the most uptight, angry, violent people of any religion ever created by mankind…
Christianity teaches Forgiveness.
islam teaches revenge.
Any questions…
