He is 100% correct. And he is one of the only public figures, indeed, maybe the only one, who has the courage to say it.
“Netanyahu Jr. Blasts Turkey as ‘Founded Upon the Greek Genocide,’” by Tasos Kokkinidis, Greek Reporter, May 14, 2021:
The outspoken son of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, Yair, expressed his outrage at Turkey’s support of Hamas by saying that the country is founded on the Genocide of Greek Christians.
He uploaded a graph on Twitter which depicts the composition of Muslims and Christians within today’s Turkey over the centuries.
In another tweet directed towards Turkish bots on the internet, he said “you are not native to Anatolia, you came from Central Asia and did a genocide to the local Greek Christian population.
“Istanbul is actually Constantinople and you illegally occupied it,” he said.
“You also did a genocide to the Armenians,” Yair Netanyahu continued, before pointing out that “Turkey occupies northern Cyprus and Syria, as well as Kurdistan,” he added….
Chrissie01 says
It is a whole country stolen from the native population, the latter expelled and driven out, killed, just like the Armenians.
I’ve been on a vacation in Turkey about 12 years ago. It was a mistake I did not repeat. The Mediterranean coastline reeks with history: Ancient Greek history, amazing architectural monuments, wonderful. And sad. Turkey monetizes on it, pretending it’s theirs. The climax of this fraud was a tourist event called “Troy” (i.e. Troja, Homer’s Troja), a spectacle about the siege of Troy, its meaning not at all understood and badly “misspelled” (totally misinterpreted), and Homer was praised as the “greatest Anatolian poet”. Anatolian! Never mind the Greek hexameters! I sat through the whole thing not knowing whether to laugh or to cry.
Turks believe that they have a wonderful history.
Talking about shameless, tasteless and impudent.

Note: Homer refers to mainly to Danaans, to Argives and to Achaeans. Simply put, the main figures in the Iliad and Odyssey are not ‘Hellenes’. That is a later attribution and cultural appropriation. The Achaeans (Hittite: Egwesh) were from a kingdom whose capital was Miletus on the coast of Anatolia south of Troy. Miletus was the birth place of a literary and philosophical outpouring in the ancient world which came to be known as ‘Greek philosophy’, but it started in Anatolian Achaea before being continued in Athens. To call Homer ‘an Anatolian’ is speculative but it may turn out to be 100% correct. ALL of the philosophers from Miletus were also ‘Anatolian’.
black adder says
Achaeans are the inhabitants of Achaea in Greece. However, the meaning of Achaea changed during the course of Ancient history, and thus Achaeans may refer to:
Achaeans (Homer), a name used by Homer in the Iliad for Mycenaean-era Greeks in general.
Achaeans (tribe), one of the major tribes of Greece according to the Hesiodic foundation myth
Achaea (ancient region), historical inhabitants, during the Archaic and Classical periods, of the Peloponnesian region of Achaea
Achaea Phthiotis, a region of ancient Thessaly
black adder says
The Achaeans also known as the Danaans in Homer’s ‘The Illiad’. Homer also calls them Argives occasionally, as well as Achaeans and Danaans. All three names refer to specific places and peoples within what we now think of as ancient Greece. But the concept of Greece did not exist in the time Homer was writing about. He could have just as easily said Mycenaeans and/or Thessalonians and be understood by his audience. “Greece” in 1180 BC was a loose collection of independent principalities and city states on the tip of the Balkan Peninsula.

You are right, Mortimer, and I applaud your profound knowledge. The point, however, is:
Anatolian is used as a synonym of “Turkish”, and Homer, by all means, was none of them.
It is – once more – the attempt of decorating oneself with the feathers of other birds, for lack of one’s own.
mortimer says
Genetically and by DNA there is NO TURKISH RACE in Turkey. The peoples of Turkey are among the most jumbled group in the world, as jumbled genetically as the people of Southern California whose ancestors are from every country.
The modern day Turks are in fact the descendants of one or two million ENSLAVED WOMEN brought from every country and RAPED in Muslim harems. Turks have the most SHAMEFUL and most dishonorable ancestry in the world.
mortimer says
Modern-day Turkish tourism pretends the genocides did not occur and they culturally appropriate the glories of the Roman past of Anatolia. It should be noted that the descendants of Roman peoples in Anatolia ALWAYS referred to their koiné language as RHOMAIKÉ (the Roman language) and to their ethnicity as ‘RHOMAIOI’ (Roman). They never referred to themselves as ‘Hellenes’.
Boycott Turkey says
That’s BS what your saying they where Greeks and did not refer to themselfs as Romans
Rbla says
Quite correct. See Speros Vryonis “The Decline of Medieval Hellenism in Asia Minor”. Many Greek and Armenian Christians were forced or opportunistic converts. Masses were taken as slaves and ultimately Islamized. Sexual slavery and the harem institution were pervasive with the children of these unfortunate women raised as Muslims. The famous Sultana Roxelana was a Russian captured in a slave raid; she made the best of a bad situation. Some Turks have a vague appreciation for their Greek ancestors like the fellow in the video with the Greek flag in front of Hagia Sophia. Others like the girl who confronted him are in violent denial of that. To that young lady – Sweetheart you had better cover yourself up and stop showing skin. You can easily provoke one of your Muslim males to rape you.
black adder says
You didn’t get the message did you? The guy was trying to provoke these angry reactions so that he could send a message to the “evil” Greeks: “Look how angry we are with you! You ‘d better behave or we will teach you a lesson!”
gravenimage says
black adder, are you referring to the video of the guy in Turkey getting reactions to the Greek flag? Their is no indication that he is pro-Jihad.
Dario says
Thank you for telling the truth
gravenimage says
Thanks for that grim account, Chrissie.

There is even more to what Yair Netanyahu has expressed. Not just Turkey itself is based on the invasion and ethnic cleansing of Anatolia, but Islam itself is a revolt against Byzantine-Roman rule in the region called ‘SHAMS’ by Arabs and ‘The Levant’ by Europeans.
In the area between Turkey (Anatolia) and the Gulf of Aqaba is the region the Arabs called SHAMS. It is the LAND OF THE SUN GOD, and Allah is actually the sun god of Arabs (Dhu Shara aka Hubal). Allah gave Arabs the mission of conquering the Roman Empire and the world.
Modern scholars have determined that the story of Islam actually begins in the Shams region and is centered in PETRA at the south of SHAMS. ‘Mohammed’ is an honorific epithet copied from ‘Augustus’ which the Romans gave to their emperors. The epithet implies that the gods have approved of the emperor through ‘AUGURY’ and are pleased that he is ruling as long as he does the will of the gods. Similarly, ‘mohammed’ means ‘praised’ presumably by the sun god DhuShara/Hubal. It took at least two generations of Arabs to pass away before the mythology of an Arab prophet began to appear.
The biographies of Mohammed written between 200 and 300 years after the supposed prophet lived are filled with inconsistencies, opacities and contradictions, thus pointing to the whole thing being fabricated in a way similar to the legends of King Arthur and Robin Hood.
Muslim fanatics today are eager to continue the genocides against formerly Roman Europe and then continue to the New World. Fanatical Muslims see freedom as the enemy and so they have joined forces with the post-modern BIG TECH oligarchs and godless billionaire Globalists.

Good for him. He comes from a courageous family, his uncle, long deceased, his father who takes a lot of abusive pressure and holds up to it, and the fact that they are descended from a race that has produced a whole host of men and women who stood up for what is right.
May he be blessed by the True God for speaking the Truth, esp in this time when Truth is ridiculed, trashed, and persecuted.

Abso-bloody-lutely!
“Turkey” is the graveyard of Christian nations. The Turks are one of the great hordes that descended on Christendom in the Middle Ages, like the Huns and Mongols, but unlike the others they never went away – it was the indigenous Christians who “went away”.
But what a pity it takes the latest onslaught by Mohammedans for the truth to come out from Israel! Maybe a case of “seller’s remorse” is setting in regarding the sale of smart bombs to Mohammedan Azerbaijan – the ones that were used to slaughter Armenian Christians so effectively last year?
Infidel says
Hopefully, Yair one day succeeds his father and turns Israel’s wrath from Iran to Turkey
Boycott Turkey says
Thank you Yair for telling the truth and for standing up to Turkey I hope one day Israel will recognise the Armenian genocide and stop selling weapons to Azerbaijan which used them to Genocide and ethnically cleanse Armenians

Now talk some sense into your father, and have him denounce the Armenian genocide

The Turks will fall; Saint Paisios the athonite prophecied it:
“ One needs to trust God, not oneself. The Russians will take Turkey. The Chinese will cross the Euphrates. Providence tells me that many events will happen: The Russians will take Turkey and Turkey will disappear from the world map because a third of the Turks will become Christians, another third will die in the war and another third will leave for Mesopotamia. The Mid-East will become a theater of a war in which the Russians will take place. Much blood will be spilled. The Chinese, with an army of 200 million, will cross the Euphrates and go all the way to Jerusalem. The sign that this event is approaching will be the destruction of the Mosque of Omar, for its destruction will mark the beginning of work by the Jews to rebuild the Temple of Solomon, which was built on the same spot…”

Sounds like modern Dispensational theology.

Netanyahu Jr. , please write a book about this. The world needs to know what turks are all about and NATO needs to know why turks should be booted out.
Mano says
Yair Netanyahu has the guts to say the truth, unlike our pathetic Greek Politicians and greek leftists scum that appease Turks. Yair Netanyahu should run for Greek Prime minister.
Infidel says
But he’s not Greek. How will Greeks appreciate his Hanukkah celebrations? ???
Kepha says
The Greek Orthodox treat the books of Maccabbees as Scripture rather than as Deuterocanon.

Netanyahu’s son: Turkey is founded on the genocide of Greek Christians
……………………..
Yair Netanyahu is perfectly correct–so good to hear this. (He should also include Armenian, Assyrian, and Levantine Christians-but this is a small point).
This may also mean that his father is closer to have Israel recognize the Arnenian Genocide–I hope so.
