Amidst the ongoing Hamas-Israel conflict, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) has given a point-by-point rebuttal of the propaganda peddled on social media by Palestinian Supporters.
In a series of tweets posted on Friday (May 14), IDF debunked all allegations of ‘human rights violations’ and ‘ethnic cleansing’ levelled against it. The Israel Defence Forces said, “Last week, violent clashes erupted in East Jerusalem and on the Temple Mount. This week, the violence escalated, with Palestinian terror organizations launching rockets from Gaza Into Israel.”
IDF informed that about 1,750 rockets have been fired at the Jewish State by terror outfits such as Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). This has led to 7 casualties and 523 injuries on the Israeli side. Several rockets launched by the terror organizations have hit homes, hospitals, schools, and buses. It further emphasized that the IDF has so far struck over 650 terror targets in Gaza including 10 attack tunnels and rocket launch sites. In this process, over 100 terrorists associated with Hamas and PIJ have been neuralised [sic].
The Israeli Defence Forces further debunked the propaganda surrounding the high casualty numbers in Gaza as compared to Israel. “Of the 1,750+ rockets that they have fired since Monday, 300 misfired and exploded inside Gaza, killing and injuring innocent Gazans in the vicinity. This is because Hamas and Islamic Jihad deliberately place rocket launchers and military sites within densely populated civilian areas in the Gaza Strip,” it said.
Hamas causing the death of Gazan civilians by putting them at risk: IDF
“In addition, when the IDF warns Gazan civilians to evacuate, Hamas and Islamic Jihad encourage civilians to stay instead. But in Israel, the IDF does everything it can to protect Israeli citizens and the Iron Dome Aerial Defense System has successfully intercepted over 90% of rockets fired at Israel,” it continued.
The IDF informed that Jerusalem came under rocket attack for the first time in 2014. At the same time, it has accused Hamas and Islamic Jihad of launching hundreds of rockets on Tel Aviv. Israeli Defence Forces emphasized that this has led to millions of civilians running for cover from the rocket fire. At the same time, one IDF soldier was also killed in one of the anti-tank missiles launched from the Gaza strip.
The Israeli Defence Forces highlighted the response of the Jewish State against the barrage of rocket fires. “In response to the ongoing attacks, the IDF has taken action to eliminate these sources of terror: Hamas and Islamic Jihad have placed rocket launchers throughout Gaza. And when they fire rockets at Israel, they are doing so in close vicinity to Gazan civilians. The way to eliminate the launch sites and prevent the terrorist organizations from firing rockets at Israel — is through military air strikes,” it added.

The IDF also pointed out the names of top terrorists, who have been eliminated by Israel’s Defense Forces. It includes Gaza city Brigade Commander of Hamas (Baseem Issa), Hamas’ R&D Head (Khazem Khatib), Head of Counter-Espionage Department (Wail Issa), Head of Hamas Military Intelligence Security Department (Hassan Kaogi), Senior Hamas R& D official (Juma Tahla), and Head of PIJ’s rocket unit (Samech Mamluch)….

In recent days, I have witnessed the numerous attacks on Jewish places of worship, the clamour of mostly migrant demonstrators who pay homage to Hitler, approve of the Holocaust, call for the destruction of Israel and spread hatred of Jews. And I came to a sad realisation: perhaps it’s a matter of willingness. This state, this country, this government, this society may simply not want to eliminate anti-Semitism forever.
In Gelsenkirchen, young men with a migration background shouted “fucking Jew” in front of the synagogue, and across the country the threat “You Jews! Mohammed’s army will be back soon”. In Kreuzberg, the same mob openly demanded “attack Tel Aviv”; in Dresden, counter-demonstrators carrying Israeli flags were attacked. In Pankow, an Israeli flag was torched, in Würzburg one was torn from its pole. In Hanover, demonstrators tore up Israeli flags, in Solingen one burned. In Halle, demonstrators shouted “Takbir! Strike, strike Tel Aviv!”
These are people who feel encouraged in Germany to give free rein to their hatred of Jews. No wonder in a country where the Federal President congratulates the terrorist state of Iran on the “anniversary of the revolution”. In which a candidate for chancellor – Annalena Baerbock – publicly speaks out against supporting Israel with military technology. In which left-wing politicians show up supporting Jew-hatred demonstrations in Neukölln.
In which Ditib, an organisation of the Turkish president who is drifting into Islamism, is still not banned. In which the Social Democratic Party (SPD) parliamentary group leader Rolf Mützenich blames the country of Israel for anti-Semitic attacks in Germany. In which people pin a “Jewish star” to their chest because they think the government is behaving wrongly in the Corona crisis. In which the city of Hagen takes down an Israel flag that was hoisted to refer to the establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and Germany on May 12, 1965, because a few Jew-haters wanted it that way. A country where Hamas terrorists are reliably referred to as “activists” in numerous media: on n-tv, in the “Tagesschau”, on “Spiegel Online”, in the “FAZ”, in the “Tagesspiegel”, in the “Frankfurter Rundschau”…
“Spiegel Online” placed the reasonably clear statement of the German Foreign Minister (“Israel … has the right to self-defence”) without comment and without any context next to that of the Iranian counterpart, who spoke of “criminal acts” by Israel. His country also supplies the weapons fired at Israel, that was missing as a small hint.
The “shitty Jews” shouting in front of the synagogue in Gelsenkirchen was turned into an “anti-Israeli demonstration” by this media from Hamburg, as if it had not been anti-Semitism but a critical confrontation with the only democracy in the Middle East.
The news agency dpa also reported the event in Gelsenkirchen – and managed not to mention the milieus from which the hatred of Jews emanated. Later, the agency added to its report that it had “not yet been able to say much” about the demonstrators.
Similarly, the news programme “Tagesschau”: “Whether it was immigrants, if so, what religious or cultural background they have, or whether right-wing radicals were involved in the crime, we simply don’t know.” Yet videos had long been public showing a zillion and almost exclusively people with an immigrant background. Meanwhile, broadcaster Deutsche Welle interviewed a pro-Palestinian activist as an expert. A staff member of broadcaster WDR asked on Twitter: “Dear God, make the old philosemites dead”, to which his employer responded apologetically: “a private tweet” that was “exaggeratedly formulated”. An acquittal can be that simple.
These days, two milieus in particular complement each other: people who have learned from their childhood, whether it was in Neukölln or in the West Bank, that Israel is to be hated, that Jews are to be detested and attacked. And above all, left-wing politicians and media who negate this attitude, who talk down the problem and too often even secretly agree with it.
It is the same mostly left-wing negligence that has led to some neighbourhoods in Germany being controlled by clans (all from the same, anti-Semitic milieu). The stance is seconded by international stars: Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai spoke out unilaterally against Israel, Greta Thunberg too.
There are a few approaches that show that things can be done differently, could be done differently. In Bonn, citizens take turns to sit in front of the synagogue to make sure nothing happens. The Christian Democratic Union (CDU) had its Israeli flag stolen, but hung up a new one, unimpressed. And some Germans took to the streets on Saturday to show solidarity, if not with Israel, at least with German Jews. All this is good, right, impressive. But I am sceptical whether it is enough.

@Mason Stewart: Most of the examples he gave, such as the commentator saying “let these jews just die”…the flag being removed, the violent gangs attacking synagogues, the protestors shouting and carrying signs “Hitler didn’t go far enough” (that one, also here in North America) are already things reported and documented. I don’t know what you are finding questionable?
And I’m not sure where you live, but these events are going on all over Europe and increasingly in North America. This very weekend we had Muslim thugs attacking Jews and openly declaring the coming of the Muslim armies to wipe out the Jews from Israel.
Those who are openly hostile against Israel as a state, are often really anti-Semites at heart, even if they don’t realize it. And how swiftly that basic unconsciousness is being shifted and groomed by media and politicians in our countries, as well as “social justice” advocates, neo-Marxists and various conglomerations of leftists–to a more virulent and toxic form of anti-Semitism. We will see open anti-Semitism increase. It’s this polarizing of the age we live in, where good and evil become ever more distant as they move along from the starting point on a topic. It will become a matter of really choosing which side you are on.
I find it interesting that people are so angry always at the Jews. At Israel. Why not anger now at Turkey? And Erdogan? Who is acting like a Hitler in so many ways, throwing thousands of political opponents and media people in jail, and meddling militarily, funding terrorists, funding genocides, so he can progress with his dictatorial aims of Middle-eastern caliphate revival.
Take a closer look at many who have put out statements from various Green Party members, if it is the Green Party issue in the article that find “questionable.” Greens are a mixed bag. Many members and those who vote green hold to the same BDS, Israel=Apartheid, Palestinian=indigenous victims as any other Leftist box member.
I’m an ecologically-minded person, organic and all the rest. But I refuse the box mentality. Conservation is “conservative”–which many on all sides don’t grasp, or wish to grapple with.
Many people I know support “progressives” and cut down Israel at every turn. They say “I have nothing against Jews, but the leadership is Nazi.” Because they’ve only read mainstream media on the topic, no books, and have almost no grasp of history. They only listen to those who already agree with them. Thus, they learn nothing.

True. Calling it Palestine, after the Phillistines, now extinct, and probably even at the time of the Romans, to take away legitimacy to the Jews who wanted to re-establish their own state and throw off Roman rule, taxes, etc.
Sadly a number of the “Palestinians” are ethnic Jews. DNA research out of Israel has done extensive surveys in the area. These are descendants of the clans who decided they didn’t want to be tortured, raped and decimated by the conquering Mohammed and his gangs, like the villages who opposed Mo. Ever wonder how it was that Mohammed had several Jewish wives? it’s all detailed in the writings of their own historians. How they slaughtered and tortured and took the women of these Jewish tribes.
Those Jews in the Holy Land who didn’t want to end up like that had to submit and convert to Islam. So, they did. And they remained in the same villages where they are today. They still have hidden in closets and drawers, minora, prayer shawls, etc that the grandmothers handed down, and remember some of the Hebrew prayers. But they are Muslims now. Islam is not an ethnicity! But it consumes ethnicity where it can.

Then came the Ashkenazim from Europe, who are ethnically still Jewish, and certainly by claim and practice, they are Jews. Israel accepted any who self-describe and identify as Jews.
What irks me is this “apartheid” claim the BDS proponents are making.
Try visiting Bethlehem. You will see signs saying “off-limits to Jews” in Bethlehem. Just like in Germany of Nazi era. Apartheid at its finest. There are borders in Israel for self-protection. Because their neighbours say regularly “we want to wipe you off the face of the earth!” Well, why should we wonder that there are borders and guards?
Canada has borders. We have immigration officers and border patrols. Ooooh, how Apartheid we are! People have to apply to reside here. And I wish were were more stringent on who comes in, and who we let BACK in (after they have committed treason by joining ISiS, nobody should be back in).
