Graz. – On Monday night, two central locations in the Styrian capital Graz were smeared with Islamic slogans. Both the Styrian country house, the seat of the Styrian parliament, and the Marian column, a central symbol of the Christian history of Graz, were smeared with the Arabic word “Allahu Akbar”.
Well-known Syrian confesses

The Graz City Councilor for Integration Kurt Hohensinner (ÖVP) justified his view of things in the “Kronen Zeitung”: The cause of the extremist acts of vandalism was based on the current conflict between Israel and Hamas. The city of Graz is particularly committed to educational work to prevent extremist tendencies, said Hohensinner. The ÖVP politician also emphasized that he wanted to “take action against any kind of extremism with the full force of the rule of law”.

He confessed to the offences to his lawyer. Unbelievable: Judge Milde-Fiedler only gave him a lenient five months probation – and even included an unpaid fine for theft!

Yesterday late night in some streets of a neighbourhood in Amsterdam 5 people were stabbed at random, of which one victim is already dead. The stabber was arrested, after the neighbourhood was sealed off.
Then followed total silence from the side of the authorities that ignored journalists, making clear they were not welcome. So the media could not do anything else but gather information from people in the neighbourhood.
Finally, today, the authorities decided it was time to administer a small dose of information to the public: “the man seemed confused…”
