Donald Trump warned us about this, and now here we are. On Tuesday, Marine Gen. Frank McKenzie, the top general at CENTCOM, told the House Armed Services Committee, according to Stars and Stripes, “that it will be difficult to battle terrorism in Afghanistan without U.S. troops in the country.” See, it would really be so much better if we stay in the country for however long it takes to accomplish the mission. What’s the mission? No one is really sure. How much longer will it take? Could be five years. Or ten. Or 100. Or until there just aren’t any more American troops to send to the “graveyard of empires.”
Stars and Stripes reported that McKenzie said he was “working with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to come up with a plan should a renewed terrorism threat from the Taliban emerge once U.S. troops leave Afghanistan.” McKenzie explained: “Some of the forces are going to remain in Central Command because we are going to look at offshore, over the horizon options.”
The implication was clear: we really shouldn’t leave at all, because once we do, the Taliban will act up. Will that ever not be true? McKenzie didn’t say, and apparently was not asked. And the general didn’t give a straight answer when Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-Colo.) asked him whether he had told Old Joe (and presumably his handlers) to leave Afghanistan by Biden’s handlers’ announced deadline of September 11.
“I can tell you,” McKenzie said, “that I had multiple opportunities to have a detailed conversation with the president and give my advice. He heard my advice. I am not going to be able to share it with you here this morning.”
“McKenzie’s comment,” Stars and Stripes added, “came as multiple news outlets reported that top military leaders pushed Biden to keep a small U.S. presence on the ground in Afghanistan to counter the Taliban and prevent the country from harboring terrorists.”

Why don’t we relocate CENTCOM’s entire top brass, starting from Marine Gen. Frank McKenzie, to Bagram, and let him follow all the events there. If he is willing to stay there, our troops stay. If he decides to leave, we leave noone behind!

DHS says the most lethal and persistent terrorism related threats are Americans. Those are their values that must be preserved. Who in their right mind would do anything to help this government or the military today? The general is worried about Americans staying in Afghanistan while I am worrying about staying in America.

I don’t see why we would have stayed there if they couldn’t find Osama bin Laden within a short time and get rid of him. The place is like any other Islamic hellhole, just another pestilence that you carpet bomb periodically in variable strategic locations, if you have any sense.
Predator drones are ok, sort of, but time consuming, saturation bombing is the way the truth and the light.

So, we have US Troops protecting the International Borders of various countries, and their people, around the World, like Japan, Korea, UK, Germany, Afghanistan, Iraq, and yet some people think its racist for the USA to protect their own Southern International Border.

Reform the Northern Alliance, help it take territory and base US troops there.
Let the surrounding states with borders and similar populations take land from Afghanistan.
Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikstan and China all have borders, let them take territory

Better idea – carve out Afghanistan on a sectarian basis.
Tajik areas – annex them to Tajikistan – areas like parts of Kabul, Kunduz, Herat, Ghowr
Uzbek areas like Mazhar e Sharif – annex to Uzbekistan
Hazara areas like Ghazni, Bamyan – attach them to Iran, since none of the neighboring countries have anything else in common w/ the Hazaras, except Iran and shi’a islam
Turkmen areas – attach to Turkmenistan
Pashtun areas like Qandahar, Jalalalalalalalalalalabad (as Rush Limbaugh used to call it), Qhowst.. annex it to Pakistan. It can be a part of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa or whatever they wanna call it. It also makes Pashtuns numerically equivalent to Punjabis in Pakistan, and throws that country into even more turmoil, which is good news b’cos they’re then less of a threat to the rest of the world
