CHICAGO — A man from a north suburb of Chicago was sentenced today to more than 13 years in federal prison for conspiring to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and al Sham, a foreign terrorist organization also known as ISIS.
U.S. District Judge Andrea R. Wood imposed the 162-month sentence on EDWARD SCHIMENTI, 39, of Zion, Ill. A jury in 2019 convicted Schimenti on one count of conspiring to provide material support and resources to ISIS, and one count of making false statements to the FBI….
Evidence at trial revealed that Schimenti advocated on social media for violent extremism in support of the terrorist group. In 2015, Schimenti began meeting with undercover FBI employees and individuals who, unbeknownst to Schimenti, were cooperating with law enforcement. During the meetings, Schimenti discussed his devotion to ISIS and his commitment to ISIS principles.
In 2017, Schimenti furnished cellular phones to one of the cooperating individuals, believing the phones would be used to detonate explosive devices in ISIS attacks overseas. On April 7, 2017, Schimenti drove with the cooperating individual to O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, with the understanding that the cooperating individual would be traveling to Syria to fight with ISIS.
A co-defendant, JOSEPH D. JONES, 39, of Zion, Ill., was also convicted of the conspiracy charge. Judge Wood last month sentenced Jones to 12 years in federal prison.

I hope Great Lakes Naval Station pays attention to this incident and increases the base force protection levels accordingly. Chicago has many islamic outfits working under disguise of media centers, one right in downtown under the name Sound Vision (https://www.soundvision.com/at) at 27 East Monroe St Suite 700, Chicago IL 60603, USA. The Chicago Police and FBI should keep a close eye on this group and its finances.

So why not Schimenti and Jones? Maybe they were inspired by Keith Ellison, a Detroit black who converted, moved to Minnesota, and beat his girlfriend badly enough to put her in the ER. Keith went from there to become the chief law enforcement officer of Minnesota, which he is now. That’s inspiring.

So true about Keith Ellison, in addition to being elected to the Minnesota AG, he first was elected to the US House of Representative, for 2 terms, I believe, equaling at least 4 years in Congress. My big concern with situations like this is the FBI.
Whenever we hear about a major case involving terrorist plots or high profile drug seizures, they always seem to involve undercover operatives from the FBI.
Now I’m not saying that these mudslimes are innocent, not by a long shot, HOWEVER, the FBI does have a somewhat patchy reputation for grooming individuals who then become terrorist or drug dealers or drug couriers.
Seems that people with now previous history of major crimes come into contact with agents and then a plot emerges. Seems to happen far too often to be coincidence.
The point I’m making here is that the various government law enforcement agencies may well be creating the internal threat to the US as a means of getting extra funding from the public purse to justify their own existence, thereby laying the groundwork for islamic terrorists to gain a foothold within the US.
It’s not the first time a law enforcement sting went wrong, only have to look as far as “Fast and Furious”!
