“Opponents of French President Emmanuel Macron said a museum is not what the country really needs, but instead effective border control, a reduction in immigration, deportation, and a focus on battling extremism.”
Yeah.
Also, historian Henry Rousso says “It is a history museum. When we do one on Nazism, we have to mention Himmler and Hitler.”
Sure. But if I were a betting man, I’d bet everything I have on the proposition that if this museum of terrorism ever does get built, it will either ignore the motivating ideology behind jihad terrorism altogether, or insist that Islam is a religion of peace that has nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.
“France is building a museum about the horrors of terrorism,” by John Cody, Remix News, April 8, 2021 (thanks to Henry):
In the past ten years, terrorist attacks in France have claimed nearly 300 lives and about a 1,000 more injured, with the vast majority of these attacks coming at the hands of Islamic extremists. The country most affected by Islamist extremism in Europe wants to deal with the trauma by building a new museum.
France has experienced 50 terrorist attacks in the last ten years, with the massacres at concerts, seaside promenades, or Christmas markets, leaving the country deeply shaken.
A new museum of the horrors of terrorism is designed to heal the wounds, but opponents of French President Emmanuel Macron said a museum is not what the country really needs, but instead effective border control, a reduction in immigration, deportation, and a focus on battling extremism.
The museum aims to preserve the memory of the collective trauma of recent years, to map the development of a terrible phenomenon over the centuries, to reportedly to help the French “cope” with the fact that their lives are often under threat from the next terrorist attack, according to Czech news portal Idnes.cz….
“The very fact that we are creating a memorial museum while the phenomenon of terrorism has no chance of vanishing in the years to come is a way of showing our capacity to take a step back,” said historian Henry Rousso, who oversees the project.
“It is a form of resistance through culture, knowledge, intelligence, and the transmission of experiences,” added an expert in modern French history, who was also involved in the construction of the Normandy Landing Monument and the Shoah Monument in Paris….
The opening of the museum, which President Emmanuel Macron promised to build three years ago, is planned for 2027. The location will be decided next spring, and it is likely to be built in the Paris area.
The exhibition will include a list of the names of all victims of terrorism in France and the French who died in attacks abroad. Researchers are already collecting suitable exhibits: messages sent by victims to their loved ones in the last moments of their lives, poems and drawings left at piety sites, documents from court trials.
The exhibition is supposed to begin in 1974, when the Venezuelan terrorist Ilich Ramírez Sánchez, known as Carlos or Jackal, carried out an assassination in a Paris department store.
The perpetrators will also have their place in the museum. This already raises the question of whether the authors of the project are inadvertently glorifying them.
Henry Rousso denies this. He believes that terrorists cannot be left out of the memorial.
“It is a history museum. When we do one on Nazism, we have to mention Himmler and Hitler,“ explained the historian.
According to him, however, he is well aware that this is a sensitive topic for many survivors and promises that terrorists will not be depicted with guns in hand, but rather in handcuffs in court.

but will they show the people from the middle east shoving there peaceful religion down our throat’s
Demanding respect and for what
I see three of the exhibits now
one will be the carnage will continue until the attitude changes about us
two death to all non-believers
the killing of all Jews
but some how the French will cave and not even touch on what they do

Muslim terrorists would blow up the museum and machine gun the staff just like they did at the offices of Charlie Hebdo.
Keith O says
Mortimer, That’s a distinct possibility and of course it will be done only because the mudslimes are so deeply offended for being called violent.
Dawne says
No doubt the museum will include more coverage of “far-right terrorism” than of Islamic terrorism. Of course there has been terrorism by groups other than Islam – here in the UK we suffered years of Irish Republican terrorism and in France & Spain the Basque Separatists have been active over the last decades. But currently the biggest threat is Islamic terrorism. For some reason the establishment will not call this out and will not face up to it.
mortimer says
Islam is the biggest producer of terrorism world-wide with a recorded average of 3-5 jihad attacks every day and average of 20-30 killed by jihadists every day and a very conservative average of 2,000 jihad-related deaths every year. Probably 5,000 deaths is closer to the figure for all jihad-related killings (including ‘honor-killings’) worldwide.
Many jihad-related deaths are caused by Islamic vigilantes and are not counted as jihadic, because they are not mass killings of an identified terrorist group. If all of those ‘lone-wolf’ attacks were counted, the true figure of jihadic deaths would be up to 10,000 per year.
Bondi BLondie says
The upper echelon UK newspaper The Spectator has a rather surprising cartoon reference to “what happened in France”.
It’s a cruel joke which would make the local British jihadi laugh if they understood it but they wouldn’t read (can’t read) the Spectator so there won’t be any uncouth bearded wonders banging on the door upsetting the editors’ long lunch. Phew. So no Je suis un spectator…actually just looking, thankyou, no offence intended, surely we can all have a little joke about head..head..headmasters.

The Brits love to mock the Froggies even when the French are expressing a positive idea, such as a terrorism museum.
The irony is that terrorists would want the truth suppressed and would try by all means to stop the museum.
gravenimage says
This is sick–and all the more so because a teacher in the UK who also stood up for freedom of speech and showed the Muhammed cartoons is also being threatened with beheading.
Beneath the Veil of Consciousness says
How long before the museum is bombed?
mortimer says
Even before it is built. The building would have to be protected like Fort Knox. No one would insure it.
mortimer says
A CORRECT assessment of historian Henry Rousso : “It is a history museum. When we do one on Nazism, we have to mention Himmler and Hitler.”
When they make a museum about SHARIA-INSPIRED TERRORISM, they will have to mention Sharia law, Muslim scholars who codified jihad and Mohammed who inspired jihadic terrorism.
Jihadist rhymes with sadist.
Infidel says
People should only build the museum after the phenomenon it’s dedicated to is actually a thing of the past. It won’t be until islam is officially outlawed in France
Hadrian says
Some cuck in NZ wrote a shitty article: “Islam isn’t in crisis, France is”
Fuck off. All too ready to jump the gun and blame ‘institutional racism’ within oceania, calling for both ‘racism and terrorism’ to be condemned but not so ready to condemn this bigoted religion. “Muh colonialism” also existed in India, brutal as ever, how many Hindus going on a stabbing spree in London?
gravenimage says
Hadrian, here is that sick article:
“Islam is not in ‘crisis’, France is”
https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/opinion/300144015/islam-is-not-in-crisis-france-is
Note that the author says she is “from Muslim-majority Iran”–she is coy about whether she is Muslim herself–but her last name is certainly Muslim.
She grotesquely implies that it is the French who inspired the beheading of victims–even though the “Prophet” Muhammed beheaded his victims and the Qur’an also calls for “striking the heads” of victims.
She then claims that France is not offering enough opportunity to Muslim invaders–even though there is *much* more opportunity in France than in Dar-al-Islam.
But somehow democratic, egalitarian France is to blame for ravening Muslims beheading teachers in order to enforce Islamic “blasphemy” laws.
She says “no justice, no peace”–implying that not allowing Muslims to impose blasphemy laws in France is an injustice–just sick.
In truth, the only blame France has is in allowing these Muslim barbarians to flood in in the first place.
Mojab also–predictably–hates democratic Israel. She also condemns any opposition to the identity-destroying Burqa.

It might be of some interest to a few people that that a book with title of JIHAD IN THE WEST published in the year 1998 authored by Paul Fregosi ,was a man who was thinking ,a bit ahead of his time ,as in before 9/11 and then many Islamic horrors of jihad terrorism that hit London, Manchester, Madrid Paris as well as other Western nations of Europe .For above mentioned book of page 411 reads “Most worrying , both Islam and the West see each other as potential enemies of tomorrow .The future is a source of concern , not of optimism.”
For this year of 2020 is the “future” as seen from the time-frame of the year 1998 when that book was published. As the author thus had a valid point in what he wrote in the above quote .
Moreover the threats of the jihadists towards the people of the nations of West .This has been further explained and revealed by in the book , by Robert Spencer ,THE HISTORY OF THE JIHAD FROM MUHAMMAD TO ISIS .Which in page 367 informs the reader that “The early twenty- first century saw a sharp rise in jihad massacres perpetrated all over the West by individuals or small groups of Muslims: in London, Manchester, Paris, Toulouse, Nice ,Amsterdam, Madrid, Brussels, Berlin Munich ,Copenhagen…”
Those jihadists /Muslims with their insidious jihad-minded Muslims scheming for the subtle and not so subtle, Islamic conquest of Europe by every possible means, including the stealth and violent jihad which is, indeed, awful..
As explained by William Wagner in his book HOW ISLAM PLANS TO CHANGE THE WORLD .Which informs the reader n page 195 “Of all the continents of the world, Europe is probably the number one target by Muslim strategist who are seeking world dominance.”
Therefore, all Europeans and other Westerners would be wise to be on guard.
gravenimage says
Yes, people who commit acts of terrorism against civilized people are our enemies.
Walter Sieruk says
In the different nations of Europe as a whole 91% of the victims of Islamic violence ,as in many cases deadly Islamic violence .The jihadists use firearms as well as using bombs .Even using themselves as human bombs time bombs ,just waiting to go off in the many cities of Europe . It only takes a few out of many to inflect much murderous harm..
Those jihadists engaging in Islamic suicide/homicide bombings attacks is for a large part, the outcome the extreme brainwashing that is performed in Islamic mind programming centers which are mosques and madrasas. In those jihad mind control places students are thoroughly indoctrinated into the jihadist mindset of committing murderous bombing attacks in the jihad for the advancement of Islam..
As Islam’s “holy book,” the Quran instructs in 9:111. , for example, “The believers fight in Allah’s Cause, they slay and are slain they kill and are killed.” Therefore, those who come out of those Quran based mind programming centers .mosque and madrasas, are so terribly harmed and damaged that they are literally, as it has be rightfully called, “dangerous to self and others.” This results in jihad suicide /homicide attack in which those jihadists who commit such murderous actions are so very deluded that they think of that jihad mass murders as “martyrdom operations.” This is Islamic delusion of the most heinous and malicious kind.
This may be, somewhat, explained by the narrative from the fable of Aesop which is entitled THE SCORPION AND THE FROG So “Once upon a time there was a scorpion who really wanted to get to the other side of the river, but he could not swim. Therefore, the scorpion begged a frog to carry him on his back across the river. The kind but foolish frog agreed and then half-way across the river the scorpion stung the frog. In shock and horror the dying frog asks the scorpion “Why did you sting me since this means that we both are going to die” The scorpion replied “The reason that I stung you even though we both will now die is because that just what a scorpion, by nature, does.”
In conclusion, just as that scorpion in the fable had proven himself by the dangerous and deadly, to self and others, because of his nature. The violent and murderous jihadists of Islam are as that scorpion, dangerous so self and other because they is their nature because they have been thought programmed in the ways of the violent and murdering jihad of Islam. As always stated above ,this is the sad and tragic reality of Islamic terrorism in today’s world.

If the French build a museum on terrorism it will need an entire wing just for all the other terrorist organizations, The IRA, ANTIFA etc. the rest of the building will struggle to contain all the exhibits on islamic terrorists.
Then again, if they bend the knee to the mudslimes and don’t have any mention of islam, then it will be an empty building.

France to build new museum dedicated to showing horrors of terrorism
……………
Well, it’s something, so long as it actually focuses on Jihad terror.
Of course at this rate France will have to keep enlarging this museum to accomodate the flood of new Jihad terror attacks…

Battling extremism. Sadly, it is standard islam that they have labeled extremism.
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” Sun Tzu, The Art of War

Good Afternoon,
This shows the courageous nature of the country. And looks to be a good idea.
But do any civil construction companies come forward to build the museum!!!!
And even if constructed, how many would accept a job to work in this museum!!!
A burning question.
Regards
Uma.

What will be in the museum I wonder? Shrunken heads of the unbelievers, photographs of limbless victims lying in blood filled streets, the remains of Notre Dame Cathedral, mohammedans laughing and enjoying their barbaric cruelty. My understanding of a museum is that it is a place where items from the past are displayed. Will the museum contain only items of terrorism pertaining to France or to the rest of the world such as Hitler, Pol Pot, Mao, the leader of the present Chinese junta.or perhaps further back in time in which case it will require a truly vast building and who would want to visit such a place? Will EU money finance this edifice? Poor old France she does’nt deserve this.
