Erdogan claims that Western politicians use ‘Islamophobia’ as a tool to cover their own failures

The term “Islamophobia” is an illegitimate conflation of two distinct phenomena: crimes against innocent Muslims, which are never justified, and honest analysis of the motivating ideology of jihad terror, which is always necessary. This article focuses on vigilante attacks against innocent Muslims, but makes it clear that much more than that is considered to be “Islamophobic” when it says that “Islamophobia is being disguised as secularism in France.” France isn’t calling for attacks on innocent Muslims. France is resisting jihad violence and the advance of Sharia. If that is Islamophobic, everyone should be an Islamophobe.

Meanwhile, Erdogan’s claim is laughable. Western politicians aren’t “Islamophobic” either in the sense that they condone vigilante attacks (no sane person does), or in the sense that they oppose jihad violence and Sharia oppression and tell the truth about the ideological wellsprings of these phenomena.

Islamophobia has turned into one of the instruments used by Western politicians to cover up their failures, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Sunday.

Speaking at a meeting with the women’s branch of the Union of International Democrats (UID), a Turkish nongovernmental organization (NGO), in Istanbul, Erdoğan said: “Politicians who fail in foreign policy, get stuck inside and put their personal rivalries before their offices, try to camouflage their inadequacy by attacking myself and Muslims.”

Racist attacks targeting Muslims or immigrants increasingly make the headlines as white supremacists become more efficient in an age where their ideals, or at least parts of them, are going mainstream. There is no single large group orchestrating these attacks against Muslims and immigrants. Rather, individual attacks lead to more copycat attacks.

The tolerant political climate under the pretext of freedom of speech has helped far-right sympathizers with violent tendencies expand their support.

Germany, for instance, has been recording Islamophobic crimes separately since 2017. In 2018, there were 910 incidents, including 48 attacks on mosques alone, a little lower than in 2017 with 1,095 crimes. In 2019, some 871 attacks targeted the Muslim community in Germany, while the 2020 data has not been announced yet.

Every other day throughout the course of 2019, a mosque, an Islamic institution, or a religious representative in Germany was targeted in anti-Muslim attacks. More than 90% of these were attributed to politically motivated crimes by the far-right. Germany is home to 81 million people and the second-largest Muslim population in Western Europe after France. Of the country’s nearly 4.7 million Muslims, at least 3 million are of Turkish descent.

Islamophobia is being disguised as secularism in France, a French opposition leader had said in criticism of the Emmanuel Macron-led government, which has recently come under fire for policies against French Muslims and just passed an anti-hijab bill….

Erdoğan also criticized the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) for siding with the West whenever it got the chance.

“We get upset when we see those who come upon us by waving the sword of the infidel in order to oppose us,” he said….

    Islam o phobia.

    Islam is an inanimate ideology. Animating, yes. But not an animate thing.

    A phobia is an irrational fear.

    Islamophobia is an irrational fear of that ideology.

    The Yezedis, for example, have a rational fear of those who act it out.

    • islamophobia has been a word adapted from xenophobia which derives from an ancient greek word… it means not phobia of the xeno which means foreign but rather has the meaning of disgust.. it means disgust of the xeno… if you speak to a linguist, originally islamophobia would mean disgust for islam….

    • Is there a word for a rational fear of islam? I propose: “Islamiloathia” There cannot be anyone who has an irrational for of islam. Fear is fully justified: “I will strike terror into the heart of the infidel” This is the very idea of islam. It is fundamental. Therefore the word islamophobia is a false word, in the same way that the sentence “Islam is a religion of peace” is an outright brazen lie. In-your-face Taqiyya!

  2. Islam is the biggest failure in humanity. Turkey must be out of NATO and Financial Action Task Force (FATF) should put it in the gray list for terrorism. Islamophobia is a cover for sharia and expansion of this murderous ideology. Boycott all Turkish products and services.

    • The West must stop sucking up to islam. It is seen as weak and pathetic by muslims, who cannot believe their luck! They see it as the will of allah, and it might well be! There is no rational explanation that I can think of. What is in it for the West? It makes no sense.

  3. Islam is not a race, it’s an horrific ideology. The reason there are attacks on mosques is mostly because people are sick of their ideology. Islam has baked in misogyny and therefore women are second class citizens. Little girls are nothing but vaginas on a leash and can be married as young as 3. It’s a vile, and repressive garbage. Islam does not assimilate. There is no love in Islam. You can kill your entire family if they piss you off and you decide that dishonor has been brought upon you. If murdering your own children is not dishonor, I don’t know what is.

    • BevTeboe raises a number of valid points, but I think the strongest is that Islam is an IDEOLOGY OF CONQUEST. We must keep our message simple.

      Simply put, JIHAD is the MOST IMPORTANT pillar of Islam and all Muslims are required by Sharia law to participate in jihadic world conquest. That is the political agenda of Islam.

      For most people, a political criticism would show you are not a bigot, but a person who objects to be conquered. That is something most people will understand.

      All the religious and sociological stuff will only confuse most people.

Just think: Muhammad never claimed it was a ‘religion of peace’. That was the ‘last thing on his mind’. He didn’t want to hide the truth. He wanted to spread fear and terror, and he has succeeded.

    Just make a poll in Turkey please. We will see who is the real fascist,terrorist, racist. The poll must be “what do you think about Armenian people?” I am sure that the majority of Turkey will say that they either dislike or hate the Armenian people.

    Terrorist erdogan is so hypocrite that he does all kinds of acts of terrorism like attacking Armenians in Artsakh and threathening Armenians who live in Turkey with hanging Azerbaijani flags in neighborhoods that they live. Yet he plays the victimhood and everytime gets support of the Western Islamophile betrayers of humanity.

    The crappy terror book of Quran, which insults all non-muslims and categorizes them as low and muslims as superior. It also threathens non-muslims with an eternal hell fire with torture at the hands of sadistic, human-hating god allah.

    This creature is not of the humanity, and anyone who does bussines with or supports him is not innocent at all.

      All of that is demonstrably correct. However, Turkey is one of them most heterogeneous populations on earth, so Turks are hardly a ‘race’. They are a melting pot descended from all the races of the Ottoman Empire and their sex slaves imported from around the world.

      Turks who feel that they constitute a ‘race’ are uninformed about genetics. ‘Turkishness’ is a delusional delirium that proposes Turkey has a world conquest agenda. Now that’s ‘fascist’ and ‘Nazi’.

      Turks are confused if they think that Islam is ‘Turkishness’. Islam is Arabic supremacism.

      • Except that Turks rival the Arabs when it comes to spreading islam. While the Arabs spread islam from Spain to Sind, and then again to the East Indies, the Turks were the ones who spread it to and controlled the Indian subcontinent, Central Asia, Anatolia and the Balkans. Had the Turks never embraced islam nor spread it, there would have been no islam in India, Afghanistan, Turkistan, Turkey, Bosnia, Albania and Kosovo, and no Pakistan nor Bangladesh either

        So despite its contents, islam is about as much a Turkic religion as an Arab one. And note that during Ottoman rule, for a while, the quran only existed in Turkish

  8. Islamophobia is used as a tool, but it is used by mudslimmes to stop any attempt made to prevent the world domination intent of Islam.
    A phobia is an unreasoning fear of something, like arachnophobia, being scared of spiders.
    Having legitimate concerns over a religion that is intent upon world domination and enslavement or murder of anyone who opposes them is not an unreasoning fear.

  9. I think that the failure of the western world is that we keep letting the Muslim enemy into our countries. We should keep them out and Muslims can live their crappy, backward lives in their own always hopeless countries. And if they stay in their own countries among their fellow Muslims, they won’t always being bullshitting on about “Islamophobia”.

      • Thanks, gravenimage. The way I see things, our western leaders letting Muslims into our countries is a very big mistake, a huge failure. Well, I admit that it was hard to see the trouble Islam brings with it when a country is just starting to let some Muslims in.. It took me many years to wake up, since I knew next to nothing about Islam’s nature. It has caused so much trouble that we didn’t need to have. It would be a better and more peaceful world for the non-Muslims in the world if Muslims could be kept in their own countries. Keep the invading Muslim hordes out. That’s the only approach that works as far as I can see. This Erdogan is a monumental pain in the arse, that’s for sure.

Of course, the left wingers, since they are out to undermine the western way of life and replace it with some Marxist dream, support the Muslims because they have the same goal.

  11. Erdogan is using blind faith by a sea of halfwits to seek more power for himself. If he were to pull off the creation of a new Ottoman Empire he would most certainly not pass off that power to the nearest mufti.

  12. ISLAMOPHOBIA a propaganda line, used to distract you from the true dangers of the Islamic followers. Erdogan is a Dictator who wants not only to restore the Ottoman Empire he wants world domination over everyone. His islamic ideology will totally destroy the Jewish people and enslave all non-Islamic people or MURDER them.

    Whats sad is our political leaders don’t realize that they will be at the top of the list for Killing by his regime. Oh I know our political leaders don’t think it can happen they can control Erdogan and the Islamic threat.

Literally the opposite is the case. “Islamophobia” is sometimes used to cover failures indeed but not by western politicians but rather by Erdoğan himself, who constantly has to stoke up nationalist animosity against the supposedly islamophobic West in order to hoodwink his base and distract voters from his massive failures and corruption. He might as well be staring at a mirror when making this accusation

    • It’s amazing how the sultan has successfully used ‘islamophobia’ as a tool to reinforce his claims of leadership of the ummah: at least Pakistan, Malaysia and Somalia have bought into the program
