National President of Association of Christian Schools in Nigeria (ACSN), Dr. Ekaete Ettang said christian schools never coerced or forced any Muslim student to follow christian religion.
She vowed that the schools will never bow to pressure and intimidation of Kwara State Government to admit wearing of hijap [sic] as one of its policies, thereby changing its identity….
Dr. Ettang appealed to all concerned Nigerians, Muslim elders, Christian elders and Governors in the North and Southern Nigeria to rise and address the looming calamity in the country.
“We are schools whose real ownership is the Lord. The history of Christian Church positions the christian/Mission schools as a place to preserve it’s heritage. That is not a crime bit similarly practiced in Islam to which we have accorded them respect in their schools.
“For the Government of Kwara State to fail to accord christian/mission schools a similar respect is unacceptable. We have not only a legal christian identity in the education sector but a national one for that matter and any mission/christian school identified with us cannot be intimidated.”
She called for the reopening of all christian schools close by Kwara state government and said they will resist all form of harassment, intimidation and pressure to change their identity.

I learned from this site a long time ago that islam is not a ‘religion’ but a totalitarian political ideology with a spurious theocratic overlay plagiarised from authentic religions as a crude validation for its founder’s political ambitions and mind- and social control mechanism designed for an uneducated and superstitious population. The Nigerian Government’s actions prove this, as do the last 1,400 years of history.

Considering that most religious institutions spend a lot of time & energy in trying to expand their system of beliefs, and encourage other humans to join the ‘flock’ – it just makes the mind boggle that Islam appears to think that FORCE & COERCION are great tools to ‘persuade’ others that their way is the best !!!! Nothing makes me angrier & more fetermined to keep all religions out of my life than the ghastly sight of a bunch of women terrified to show their faces !!!!!
