A viral scene from a film has landed a filmmaker in jail under the strict pornography law in Bangladesh. The police arrested renowned filmmaker Anonno Mamun late last week for showing a rape survivor being interrogated harshly by a cop in his new film, Nabab LLB.
The cop in the Bangla-language film is seen asking the rape survivor brazen questions such as if there was penetration while she was being sexually violated, if the perpetrators ejaculated, or if she was a virgin.
The scene drew a sharp response from the country’s police force. They also arrested the lead actor Shaheen Mridha, who plays the cop in the film.
“There are biased, intentional, untrue and baseless information and lurid presentations in some parts of the movie which go contrary to the established laws of the country,” Md Sohel Rana, the Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Media & PR of the Bangladesh Police, told VICE World News.
“Moreover, such wrongful and imaginary portrayal of an organisation on such a very sensitive issue presents it quite wrongly before the people it serves,” he added. In a published statement on their portal, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police referred directly to this specific scene and said that the fictional cop’s language towards the rape survivor was “offensive” and “obscene”, and will “create negative perceptions about policing among the public”.
Media reports stated that the police is now seeking the arrest of Orchita Sporshia, the 27-year-old actor who played the rape survivor. AIG Rana did not confirm this….

What a weasel-worded passage from a work that claims to make things clear! None of the antecedents of the pronouns “they/them” are clear. Allah has made one *what* is superior to the other *what*? One sex over the other sex? If so, which is which? Or was Allah (or whoever wrote these words) anticipating a time when some women would out-earn and financially support their husbands? Both men and women guard their unseen parts (every body-part except the skin, hair, and the front of the eyeballs), but do they really do this because Allah has previously guarded their internal organs? Whom does “you” refer to? Muhammad? women in general? men in general? In an elementary-school composition class, what grade would you give to the writer of this passage?

Islam is a load of backward, primitive garbage, but I think that the biggest problem of all with islam is that it is all supposed to be perfect (god’s final revelation , etc) and none of the grotesque, evil, inhumane bullshit that islam puts forward is allowed to be changed. It will always remain a load of totally barbaric, extremely primitive garbage. There is no hope that it will be able to progress and become a bit more humane. The old 7th century Arab lifestyle was always primitive crap and it should have disappeared from humanity centuries ago. And that primitive way of life is all that Islam has to offer. If Islam would go the way of the old Aztec religion the world would be so much better for all of mankind. I read about all the primitive, disgusting garbage that islam believes in and I am sickened that such rubbish is still with us in the 21st century.

Thanks, Peace. I look at the content of Islam, the instructions in the Koran to go out and kill non-believers, the call to kill anyone who decides to leave Islam, the marrying off of very young girls because that scumbag Muhammad did it, all those honour killings for the most trivial of offences, etc, and I think what a load of unbelievably primitive crap Islam contains. I keep wondering why so many people in our societies still don’t get it and keep giving Islam respect. To me, islam deserves no respect whatsoever and the sooner it disappears from the human race the better. I just wish more people would wake up and see how vile islam is.
