A tug of war over illegal migration from North Africa and the Middle East via the English Channel is raging in Britain. Home Secretary Priti Patel has favored a fair points-based immigration system. In fact, the Conservatives promised a new immigration system for 2021 as part of the Brexit transition, that would “give us real control over who is coming in and out,” including a differentiation between “skilled” and “low-skilled” migrants, which would be a benefit to Britain. Recall that the Brexit vote to separate from the EU was largely based on public dissatisfaction with open-door immigration.
After a summer and fall that saw multitudes of illegal Muslim migrants swarm into the UK via the English Channel from France (during a coronavirus lockdown to boot), the UK and France finally reached an agreement to curb the flow. But then the Johnson government also committed itself to the UN Migration Pact, recognizing mass migration as a “human right,” “regardless of their migration status.”
The UK government is clearly not in sync, and pressure from the EU may be the culprit. In August, EU negotiators flatly rejected a post-Brexit deal to return thousands of illegal Muslim migrants to France. The relentless globalist push is now being echoed by Stuart McDonald, the Scottish National Party’s spokesperson on immigration, who warned Priti Patel that the “‘morally repugnant’ prosecutions of asylum seekers who steer boats across the Channel may be unlawful.”
Letters sent to the home secretary and director of public prosecutions by a legal group said there were “considerable doubts as to the legality of this new policy” and called for charges to be suspended. The Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI) questioned how such charges passed the public interest test required for all prosecutions, in light of findings that migrants who steer boats are not part of criminal gangs and may be coerced and threatened.
Yet these same “migrants who steer boats” are bringing in multitudes of other migrants, unvetted. With time, less and less information is being released by the mainstream media, which has become activist media for globalists. In 2019, this was the dire situation in London: Somali parents were reportedly sending their children back home in order to save them from knife attacks, in the face of a knife crime epidemic saw 51 murders halfway through 2019, and a Muslim migrant “acid gang” was sentenced following violent, unprovoked attacks on gays. London gangs also include “the Mali Boys,” who are becoming “more ‘organised, ruthless and driven by drugs profits.” Mali is a Muslim country plagued by Islamic rebel groups aiming to impose Islamic law across the country. The groups include Ansar Dine, Movement for Unity and Jihad in West Africa, al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, the Signed-in-Blood Battalion and the Islamic Movement for Azawad. Somali rape gangs have also victimized girls in London.
Lawlessness has gripped other EU nations as well, directly related to suicidal immigration policies. What is “morally repugnant” is the abandonment of by UK and EU authorities of their duty to protect the security of their citizens and their complete disregarding of the rule of law in permitting illegal migration, regardless of who is entering their countries, jihadists included. Remember that in October, the Johnson government was discovered to be flying in Muslim migrants directly from Greece.
Even after the complex ordeal of Brexit, the UK faces a renewed flood (and torment) of illegal Muslim migration, thanks to a Prime Minister who did a bait and switch.
“Patel warned over legality of ‘morally repugnant’ prosecutions of asylum seekers crossing Channel,” by Lizzie Dearden, Independent, December 6, 2020:
Eight migrants have been jailed so far this year for piloting dinghies, after the Home Office started using drones to identify them and then arrest them on arrival in the UK.
The home secretary has repeatedly branded the men “people smugglers”, but a judge ruled that they were “not acting as part of a trafficking gang”.
Stuart McDonald, the Scottish National Party’s spokesperson on immigration, told The Independent: “This new practice appears of dubious legality, and is morally repugnant. Where on earth is the public interest in prosecuting the victims of organised crime gangs? This is clearly all about the home secretary’s horrendous political posturing rather than any sensible analysis of law, policy, or fairness.”
Migrants identified as dinghy pilots by a Home Office unit are being referred to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to be charged with “assisting unlawful immigration”.
The offence, which was previously used against people smugglers working for profit, has a maximum penalty of 14 years’ imprisonment.
The Independent previously revealed that the CPS issued a note to lawyers in October after some questioned if the charges were in the public interest. A document said the offence of assisting unlawful immigration could be applied to asylum seekers who steer boats because they have “facilitated” a journey.
The JCWI’s legal policy director, Chai Patel, said the policy may violate the UN’s Refugee Convention, which states that nations must “not impose penalties, on account of their illegal entry or presence, on refugees”.
He wrote that the Home Office’s repeated descriptions of asylum seekers jailed for steering boats as “people smugglers” appeared to clash with the UN Protocol Against the Smuggling of Migrants.
It defines human smuggling as requiring “a financial or other material benefit”, but some of the jailed men paid gangs in France thousands of pounds to cross the Channel.
In the letter to Max Hill QC, the director of public prosecutions, Mr Patel called the policy “irrational”.
“It does not have a deterrent effect on boat crossings,” he added. “It is also contrary to law and policy designed to protect victims of trafficking, modern slavery and human trafficking because it targets victims for prosecution, and in doing so, criminalises them before their claims for protection can be heard, and impedes their ability to make such claims.”
The JCWI is advising a man who was jailed for two years after being caught steering a dinghy in the Channel.
It said he had received a deportation letter from the Home Office, despite an ongoing asylum claim.
Mr Patel accused the government of “undermining the purpose of the asylum system” and international commitments by frustrating applications for protection.
“People do not make these journeys because they are easy. They make them because they feel they have no alternative,” he wrote.
“We are concerned that rather than considering the legitimate public interest in prosecution, decisions to prosecute have been tainted by political and public relations interests and other irrelevant considerations.”…

to Stuart McDonald,
“Okay, but they stay at your house when they arrive”

Yes, let her discover what many have discovered when living in close quarters with Muslims. The Muslims believe they have authority to dictate to the kafirs and lord it over them. The globalist Stuart McDonald is a total fool living in a globalist Shangra-La.

Many of these illegals are paying criminal gangs to smuggle them. What secrets do the migrants hide and what benefit will they be to UK?
UK already has 20,000 potential jihadists, so why import more? Madness.

Chai Patel – “People (asylum seekers/illegal immigrants) do not make these journeys because they are easy. They make them because they feel they have no alternative,”
So they have been physically forced onto the boats against their will or their lives are in immediate danger if they don’t do so? Absolute and total rubbish. They are all at liberty to stay in France in perfect safety or retrace their steps back to where they came from. What Patel really means is that climbing into unseaworthy boats and then illegally trespassing on British soil is the only way these thieving scroungers are going to get their hands on the free food and accommodation for life to which they’ve absolutely no proper entitlement whatsoever, because they know that if they try to get in legally they’ll be told where to go – back across the Channel. These ‘victims’ are openly insulting to British citizens and Patel is insulting everyone’s intelligence.

ILLEGAL MIGRANTS…… Are illegal, unwanted, potentially dangerous in so many ways. In addition we cannot afford any more parasites!

Open the gates, what could go wrong? Ask the American Indians.
It’s Rome deja vu all over again. Bring in masses of conflicting cultures and soon industry wants them for cheap labor; not caring about damage to the native society nor listening to the legitimate complaints of the citizens who watch their nation handed to a primitive culture and experience the resulting collapse of safety and economy. Eventually all roads lead out of Rome.
Add an administration which is still delusionally collecting immigrants from its lost Empire and rapid-reproducing, native-rejecting, migrants from the ME, believing that will rebuild UK glory, and the stage is set for a great decline.
There is no unity in UK government, a direct reflection and evidence of failed “diversity”. This is not the immediate post WWII Britain that pulled together for survival. Listening to the grunts and shouts in Parliament could make a citizen wonder why he should have any faith in government or that he is represented at all.
Here’s a “diversity” prediction: The UK will curtail or end the Monarchy, finding it too expensive. It can’t justify feeding immigrants because “poverty is an accident of birth” while maintaining Royalty also as an accident of birth. The Royals should realize the great “diversification” is the ending of the Monarchy.

Few Muslims work, so they are little good as labor, cheap or otherwise. They mostly live on the dole.

Absolutely correct gravenimage. I have call to go to Stirchley in Birmingham occasionally and on a recent visit it was school turning out time. On approaching the company I was to visit the pavement was solid with blokes in frocks walking their kids back from school, I had to turn across the pavement and these “people” would not stop until I turned my van and pushed to get across into the factory gate. Once inside I asked someone “What’s going on outside here?” He replied, it’s like that every school day, they won’t allow their kids to walk home alone. But I replied they are all blokes and it’s only 3:30 why aren’t they at work. He didn’t speak but just held up his hand and rubbed his thumb and forefinger together, indicating they were all on the benefits.

No surprise, Dave.
Then, I’m sure thye mostly didn’t want to allow the girls to walk home, lest they dare speak with any bosys.
Also, that they didn’t want to let you get through–this is pushing Infidels to the “narrowest part of the road” (i.e. the gutter)–a mainstream part of dhimmitude.
By the way, my mother was born in Birmingham in saner times.

If you take a look at everything happening in the UK since Tony Blair opened their doors in the 80’s all the way to present day, you will start to notice a repeating pattern of things being done IN FAVOR of muslim “migrants” to the DETRIMENT of the native British people — not just once or twice, but EVERY SINGLE TIME! Can you imagine 40 years of this absolute disaster?
The only possible answer for why that’s the case is that someone wants UK gone. Plain and simple. There is simply no other explanation as for why would you allow your own children to be KNOWINGLY raped on an INDUSTRIAL SCALE (we’re talking hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of mainly white British underage girls) by these “migrants” and not lift a finger about it. It’s not merely incompetence; it’s malign aspirations. In other words, they imported the muslims not because they thought it would IMPROVE the country; on the contrary — it’s because they knew it would lead to its DESTRUCTION.
As for who would do this and why…….. Follow the money, that’s all I’m gonna say.

So now protecting your borders is illegal and morally repugnant?
The politicians who spout this BS are merely sucking up to the mudslimes who are their voter base.
Having sold their souls to get into a high paying, do little to nothing job, these scum will do whatever is needed to keep their positions of power, including committing treason.
As someone has said, if these illegal invaders are such nice people then maybe these people in power should house them in their homes.
somehistory says
And these same idiots would prosecute a non moslim, legally born-in-the-country citizen, for stealing a loaf of bread for his family.
If someone is doing something “illegal,” they are committing a crime. If the idiots want to have them not be “illegal,” then they would need to change their laws and say doing what they are doing…coming into the country without being invited, not flying in and going through the customs process, but piloting a boat full of others…is legal and for the good of society.
If this continues long enough, certain continents will be empty and others will be bulging at the seams. China is bulging and look how the citizens there live. Stacked on top of each other in tiny rooms hardly large enough to turn around with nets outside the windows to keep jumpers from escaping the only way they know how.
