Mila, the 16-year-old who is threatened with rape and death and who lives in hiding following a video in which she sharply criticized Islam in January 2020, again posted a message that earned her a torrent of hate and threats on social networks.
In this video, taken from Instagram, the young woman from Isère attacks those who insult her and promise her death: “And last thing, watch your buddy Allah, please. Because my fingers in his a**hole, I still haven’t got them out. ”
The prosecutor’s office in Vienne (Isère) has announced the opening of an investigation for “death threats in writing and electronic harassment”. The perpetrators of these threats, once identified, will be prosecuted and face up to 3 years imprisonment and a fine of 45,000 euros, said the public prosecutor Audrey Quey.
As in the first case at the beginning of 2020, personalities also come to the aid of Mila to denounce these calls for murder and to defend freedom of expression and blasphemy. The hashtags #JeSuisMila appear again this Sunday, November 15 on social networks. Among the personalities who are actively showing her support, there is in particular the Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior in charge of Citizenship, Marlène Schiappa, the writer and philosopher Raphaël Enthoven, the journalist-writer-director Mohamed Sifaoui and even the LREM deputy of Paris, Mounir Mahjoubi.
In a message on Twitter, posted on the evening of Saturday, November 14, Mila spoke about the life she currently leads and the very many hate messages she still receives. Some clearly refer to the beheading of Samuel Paty, this college professor assassinated by an Islamist terrorist on October 16, 2020 in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine in the Yvelines.
Mila taken to task and threatened this summer in Malta
“The lynching that I live with is hard. I receive about thirty threats and hate messages per minute. These frustrated people will therefore never understand that I have more pain for them and their sect than anything else,” writes Mila on Twitter .
In September, we learned from le Canard Enchaîné that Mila, staying this summer in Malta, had been recognized in a restaurant of her hotel by an individual. The man approached her and asked her if her name was Mila before attacking her.
She was the target of rape and death threats from her attacker: “We are going to rape you in a cellar”, “I am going to rape your mother” the assailant notably uttered. “Hope that I do not see you again, otherwise I will strangle you”, concluded the young man. Mila indicates that these insults were said “in the name of Allah”.

Since January, Mila and her family have been the subject of special vigilance by the national police to protect them. In February, Mila was invited on the set of Daily, broadcast on TMC. During this interview, she had “apologized a little to the people” who live their religion in peace and may have been “hurt” by her words, but does not “regret” her criticism of Islam at all. The young Isère had claimed her “right to blasphemy”.
At the beginning of October, in the Gers, a 23-year-old man was brought before the Auch court, for immediate appearance, for posting a video on Facebook threatening Mila’s death. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison…
